  1. And now there's no reason for him to not field his strongest possible 11, in stark contrast if they were to have a Europa cup final 3 days later.
  2. Hard luck Arsenal. Now make Wenger proud in his last PL games.
  3. 1-0 down at the moment. Far from over of course.
  4. If we survive let the mocking begin!
  5. I'm giving that one to Lovren.
  6. And Lovren taking the deciding penalty like this:
  7. Judge Redmond if/when he plays on the right. Anyway, back to the atmosphere....
  8. I think you answered your own question in the first sentence with the other two. The problem isn't Bertrand, it's Redmond playing on the left.
  9. That's what we did, and we were unlucky to lose. One of the clown's (extremely) rare good games.
  10. Didn't McManus and Rossouw miss a large chunk of last season for the same injury? Just bad luck, or something they should take precautions for in practice?
  11. True dat.
  12. Reading between the lines it appears he knows the square root of **** all about football, and believes all the bullshit from Beaker and Bunsen. Hope I'm wrong.
  13. P.S. Puel should be invited, so he can laugh and mock the "winner".
  14. I think they should have a worst player of the season award ceremony. It'll be more fun, with lots of contenders to choose from.
  15. At least they won't get relegated. In fact they get rewarded with a high draft pick. We could learn something from North American sports.
  16. "The keeper Willy Caballero made a glaring mistake," Hughes said. "I don't know how they made that decision so quickly, Charlie Austin did nothing wrong.. "If ever there was a situation for VAR to step in and say we probably need to review that I would have thought that was the opportunity to do that." https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/43772431
  17. This.
  18. He's right. Why the **** didn't the ref consult VAR for the disallowed goal? If he'd consulted it and still disallowed it fair enough (although I think that would be the wrong decision), but to not even look is ****ing disgraceful.
  19. Oh and Hazard looked very fresh. Nice he could be rested on Thursday for their meaningless match, but we did not have that luxury in our "played on the same day to be fair" match
  20. I don't understand why some are calling our performance rubbish. Yes we parked the bus in the first half. But it worked, we kept it to 0-0 at half time as planned. I'm sure MH's plan was to try to hold them off for about 60-70 minutes and then bring on Tadic/Gabbi to try and nick it. Unfortunately Giroud did it to us again just after half time. We had a legitimate goal disallowed, Austin hit the post, their GK somehow managed to keep that Redmond shot out, and Long messed up when clear on goal. Chelsea were of course the better team, but we weren't rubbish. With a bit of luck and better refereeing we could've got a result against a superior squad.
  21. That's a massive understatement.
  22. If we have an owner who's prepared to spend the required dosh. All indications are that Mr. Invisible has no such intention. Hope I'm wrong.
  23. Yes indeed, look at the squad he's got to work with, packed with outstanding players and one or two world class ones. What Puel did with our mangy lot last season is far more impressive.
  24. Crushing home defeat today. Such a shame. Which means their playoff hopes are now about as slim as our survival's.
