  1. http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/article/165/8544492/norwich-value-on-crunch-saturday When I began researching this game, I did so expecting to confirm a suspicion that the prices are correct in making Norwich marginal favourites in a hard-to-call contest on the grounds that they're at home. However, closer inspection reveals information which I think makes the hosts worth a good bet at close to 6/4. For all the praise Southampton have received both before and since the departure of Nigel Adkins, they're won just two of their last 13 games in all competitions. That one of those was a superb 3-1 dismissal of current Premier League title holders Manchester City explains the media admiration for a side whose overall form doesn't entitle them to be just 2/1 to win at Norwich. Of particular concern to supporters must be Saturday's defeat to QPR, but the concession of four goals to Newcastle prior to that also rates a worry and Norwich have enough about them to contain easy-on-the-eye Southampton before pouncing for three points. The Canaries have played 11 Premier League games at Carrow Road since losing 5-2 to Liverpool in September, and they've won six of them. Yes, most came during a fine winter run but a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Everton last time could provide the platform for another. In addition, even when they've failed to win Norwich have still impressed, with narrow defeats to the likes of Chelsea and Man City plus a draw with Spurs. Put simply, over the last three months if you'd backed Norwich in games like this you'd be well in front and there's no reason not to do so at the price. Verdict: Norwich 2 Southampton 0
  2. We learnt that from Injustices Mann and Whats-her-name. Anyway, it looks like my prediction of a February liquidation has been skittled by the mysterious £4 million increase in PPs. Looks like that pact they signed with the devil hasn't expired yet. Well, not until the yes-this-time-it's-really-the very-last PP in August. My 999th nutjob post. I've been keeping my powder dry this month, hoping my 1000th would coincide nicely with their demise, but to no avail. I don't think I can hold off posting for 6 months, so plan B is to do a trousers and post 999 more just before they go pop in August.
  3. That's an image I need to get out of my head.
  4. With him getting all 4?
  5. Indeed, just like we did with him as manager when we went to Krap Nottarf. Oh...
  6. No, hopefully not, you bastard.
  7. And don't forget his infamous smile and thumbs up to Mad Milan after the Krap Nottarf capitulation.
  8. A draw against the toon, and good rogering of Saggy's lot, and I'll be more than happy.
  9. I wish them both a swift and full recovery. But not before Monday.
  10. Manure and Arsenal had nothing to play for. It was an end of season friendly for both of them.
  11. W5 D2 L6 = Mid-table form. FFS Dalek, stop confusing Luggy with Wigley. Appointing him was the disaster that began the big slide (finished off with aplomb by Saggy).
  12. wiziwig.tv usually gives the socsportslive link for our games.
  13. Me too, except forget the barrel.
  14. ^^^ This. I'm surprised Dalek hasn't chipped in to tell us (for the 1000th time) that the reason we got relegated was because Luggy was hired instead of Glenda.
  15. Yes, but we would give them a good rogering with a team we could afford.
  16. Surely not deader than Cheats FC?
  17. I had a dream last week that we beat Juventus 3-1 in the Champions league final.
  18. Come and join us nutjobs over here http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?14620-Pompey-Takeover-Saga/page1681 Almost 1700 pages of kicking the rotten corpse while it's down.
  19. [h=1]West Ham: Sam Allardyce told to seal survival before new deal talks.[/h]In other related news, Fergie has also also been told to seal Man Utd survival before new deal talks. When questioning this, he was told that his team has the same chance of relegation as West Ham.

  21. Outcry over plans to scrap almost half of Portsmouth’s loos. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/politics/outcry-over-plans-to-scrap-almost-half-of-portsmouth-s-loos-1-4775589 Nice one! Get rid of half the toilets to save the city money, then if the PST get their way, use the money to help fund the purchase one large toilet.
