I can't really see the person responsible for this being hero worshiped at our club: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1224479/With-punch-changed-life-Marlon-King-victim-reveals-identity-bid-banned-football-life.html

He will not be good enough for us and I don't think we need someone with his attitude disrupting the harmony of our squad.
-
If the game is televised whose hoodoo will goo?
-
lmfao!!!

Poor sods, just hope they have are able to attract someone as we did, although I think they'll struggle to get anyone half as good. I can't take any pleasure from their misfortune. They should contact Begbies for Mike Faliaka's number.

This thread shows just how little some fans on this forum know about the game. Good job there are a few people like Shurlock on here. He's spot on with everything said above.

Yup, Burley for me is the Manager that has underperformed most for us in the last 5 years or so. He had all the means to do so much better than he did. He was a complete twitt too. I can see AP really doing a good job for us, provided we can stave off interest from Premier League clubs.

I would be very happy if we signed Trotman. He's getting better all the time and is an excellent foil for Jaidi. Trotman was my MOTM on Saturday by a whisker.

I came away today thinking just how bad the old regieme were and how well AP and this team would have done in the Championship. Difference is Hypo, this year we are playing decent wages. Consequently gates are up and I can only imagine sales of food, drink, merchandise etc are also up. We were ona really $hitty downward spiral with Lowe. Thank heavens for our admin! I loved the match today. Enjoyed it more than any other game in the past 3/4 years.

I'd describe it as 4-3-3 personally. Boy, did we look good when we switched to 4-4-2 today! Connoly and Antonio were awesome.
-
Absolutely right - what about Antonio as well! Antonio was incredible today. AP's eye for a player added to his decision to change tactics and make two bold substitutions around 55 minutes today was truly inspired. Just fantastic. After the third goal he turned around to make eye contact with Marcus before the crowd more generally - I let him know I was bloody impressed and he smiled and waved. Let's keep this going. I'm looking forward to many happy and exciting years with AP and ML.
-
I would ask who his favorite player is. I think it would be rude and distateful asking such an apparently nice guy personal or morbid questions.

I have heard that Pompey have only a few weeks to pay their main creditor before they have the carpet pulled from under their feet. Personally I think they'll be happier in the CCC or Div 1 with ticket prices etc that the average Pompey working man can afford. Classic case of what goes up must come down.

This took place outside of the ground between two sets of people who happened to support different teams. Other than that it has very little do with football. It did not take place inside the ground. Fights happen in pubs every day of the week for all sorts of different reasons and all too often people do get their heads stamped on. I once had my skull fractured during such an event. IMHO it's about time this thread was locked, it was done to death before it seems in the thread just after the game. Let's get back to talking about football related matters.

Behind close doors reserves game last night...
Junior Mullet replied to Fergie's topic in The Saints
Gotcha! Hmmm, Aldershot maybe? I'm only guessing. -
Best post on here. Pretty much the only really sensible one. Can anyone say why the police don't hold away fans back? There's always trouble and a bit of intimidation as the opposing sets of fans pass one another. Absolutely daft.

Probably not so behind closed doors afterall, otherwise why would they want to inform all supporters about the reshedule? This game vs Brizzle will be open to public. -
Pretty sure Thomas captained the side a few times and was captain for his previous club for a while.
-
Sorry Piltchards, just read the OP again and it's clear you are talking about the team in which case you have to say Swindon away.
-
No, the forced administration was the end of the rot for me. A really exciting turning point. For me the lowest point was some time last season when Lowe seemed to be preparing us for life in Division 1 with the youngsters, a poor manager and no investment - I could only see attendances dropping further, more in-fighting and more protests.
-
On the contrary, they would have had the place buzzing.

Jan Poortvliet in relegation battle (again)
Junior Mullet replied to CHAPEL END CHARLIE's topic in The Saints
For me it was the Birmingham game that was the best. Brum hardly touched the ball once all game - I recall shouting "you can't handle us" at their manager from a couple of rows back. -

Yup, but some people on here actually do their jobs well. -
That would be my choice too. Supported Woking as a kid, which included the amazing cup run when they beat West Brom 4-2 at their place and then narrowly lost 1-0 to Everton, the reigning cup-holders at the time. Happy happy days. Timmy Buzz Buzz Buzz.
