  1. For heavens sake we have a club,we are going to be able to go to our ground and cheer on our players and just a while ago we had none of these things ,icing and the cherry on the cake will come in good time (the first person to hint at a different sort of cherry will be shot ) It's all going to be wonderful boys RELAX.
  2. I'm quite pleased that we don't have dodgy leaks from the Club but I thought we had employed a P.R. company ,one of whose jobs is to create a feel good factor which would be helpful to alleviate the jitters that are creeping in again, much too early in my opinion the man has a plan..P.R. guys get it out there pronto......also who is going to be the heralded Director of Football, that has gone quiet...why?
  3. Morgan has played for his Country as Captain of the under 20's during the early pre- season and put up a good performance against Ajax,I think he got a knock in training and as I think he could be massive for us under AP, I very much hope you are wrong, but as the French have rated him for years, perhaps his agent feels he should be playing elsewhere now we are temporarily in the third tier. I feel sorry for him as I think his first season for us was not as good as it should have been due entirely to forces beyond his control,as I think will be shown with several other players who suffered under the shambles that was last season at St. Marys
  4. I'm sorry he has gone to Spurs,I would have thought he knows 'arry would sell him down the river again if something better came up for the slithery one. I would prefer him to go to Fulham,as I'm sure the London option is more to do with his "missus" and her shopping than his career path ,he was a lovely chap when he was with us and I hope he still is..but we know what " celebrity girlfriends " can do to a decent player, although Cheryl seems to be the exception to the rule.

    Rasiak

Rasiak is never going to be an athlete and he does fall over a lot,but as has been said already he is the poacher we have been missing.
  6. I thought under Pearson he played some quality football and was pretty impressed that he played with a broken arm as we were so short of decent players and didn't whinge about it I wish him luck wherever he goes.
  7. Don't you think that with a tough manager as I hope and pray A.P. is..we will see a very different team quite quickly, and the non tryers will be got rid of pdq. He may bring in a couple more but don't you think the January transfer is when he will make big signings using other systems in the meantime so he does have the wherewithal to get is up the table in the second half of the season..and the team we have must earn their money in the meantime?
  8. Any fool can flash someone elses cash but a wise man does some prudent housekeeping to begin with and assesses what he has and then decides where the money should be spent to bring about the results the owner and the fans so richly deserve. It will be interesting to see how far Manchester City will go with their vulgar display of wealth, what a hotchpotch of egos before we get to talent.......
  9. I think you should nominate your 1st player fairly soon as I am told there is a waiting list and the sponsorships are going better than they have in years and you don't want to be left with someone nobody wants...to put it crudely I think you need to get your skates on!
  10. wotte was sitting near me yesterday, all arrogance gone,no tea at half time and desperate for someone to recognise him, shake his hand or pat him on the back, seemed in shock...can't think why he was there unless he was supporting Ajax..Martin Jol didn't seem to have much of a rapport with him either odd.
  11. Totally agree that Kelvin and Morgan were the best players on the pitch, and think you may find Morgan will be abit of a hero come the end of the season you heard it here first.
  12. I think they will both be fine if the new Manager makes them work hard and get fit, much of our problems have been wet managers who wanted to be the players mates and didn't instill any discipline in the training and left us with a load of tired disillusioned hoofers who couldn't finish a match.
  13. I just want someone who will make the team fit and strong,so they will not wilt in the 75th minute and let in the winning goal. Someone who shows them where the NET is and that is where the ball is supposed to end up and will line up some agile barn doors in front of our goal,so Kelvin has a quieter season..not too much to ask but who is that man?
  14. Well said Andy Beal, after all the gloom and sniping and wishing on a star ..we got the star and there is more to come so we should ALL try to scrape together the money for the season ticket and support the club we so nearly lost..we might not be so lucky again COYR...
  15. At last some good sense,we need a NAME as Manager to attract the tried and tested and the young aspiring players, not a media junkie who has proved nothing at the club on the field. For those who want to keep him Christmas may be too late to push for the play-offs and another upheaval. It would be wonderful for the Club to pick a good'un now and keep him for a few years..there are plenty of examples that this works.
  16. Who will want to come to a club managed by an unknown, who has ever heard of Wotte. A name and then you are talking about good players being interested in coming to Saints
  17. If Wotte stays I think you will find other players are not too happy either. We need a boss all the boys will play for. Not unhappy about Lallana,he may go on to better things but I don't think so...let him go and take the money...wish him well.
  18. RE,Wotte as far as I know he was being paid,so where is the loyalty factor..he loves the limelight and the more interviews he can give the happier he is,I have never thought he was the right manager for us and I for one want him gone as soon as possible, we can do without smarmy and vain,we need ruthless and respected by the players and the fans. After he has gone no moans until at least Christmas..come on you reds!
  19. Please, please let this be true..I live in a PO post code and have had to endure so much c**p since we were relegated,,and their "Dr" Money bags looks dodgy as hell..oh! bring it on:smt118
  20. Who signed that great pudding Jermaine Wright, wasn't that Burley?
  21. Jacksons rescue plan? Could the new chairman be called Bubbles...did he leave him to us in his will, well then bananas all round chaps
  22. Don't be so ready to knock Matt...think of all the other players who have come through the Club, have gone on to bigger and better things and earned mega money on the back of their time with Southampton, have we heard a squeak out of any of them, have they tried to help ....no
  23. Don't Knock him, Morgan will be a very fine player. What a start he had, young ,new country, club in turmoil and two iffy managers, with good backing he will be great and he does know how to put the boot in when necessary. I hope we can keep him.
  24. I agree with you Andy, if I was going to buy the Club and saw all this negitivity and nastiness coming from the so called fans of this club, I would probably say f*** the lot of you I will put my money elsewhere, Until we know the out come be positive and calm, it is killing me too,but I have been supporting Southampton since 1947,my father and grandfather before me, something has always turned up before...Saints can't go to the wall...they are Southampton Football Club and we are its fans. Come on you REDS.
  25. The new "owner " of the deluded down the road was filmed on his first visit to the ground in an ill fitting team baseball cap being schmoozed by Storrie looking like a man in an arranged marriage and on looking at the bride wanted to run for the hills. On other matters, a new manager is a must if we still have time and there is still someone out there who can help us back to where our glorious team should be. Bring on the new season and come on you REDS!:
