I will ignore your garbage, too. But before I go.... Am I not entitled to an opinion? All I said is that I don't rate him. If he stays and plays brilliantly I will write on here that I have been convinced, but from what I've seen of him over three years he is about as much good as one of your posts

Shall we carry on abusing each other, Mr Idiot? I can be as rude as you are if I have to. What I actually said ... Oh, what's the effing point. You understand completely what I was saying & for whatever reason you are looking for a fight & I can't be *arsed. Find someone else

What I actually said, Kermit, was that I will be even ruder about him on here. I never abuse the players at a match. And I would have thought even a muppet like you could see it was said as a joke. However, I still don't rate him as a player based on the evidence of my own eyes

If he goes I might even look back fondly on him. I will be even ruder about him if he stays. I wouldn't have been so anti him if he'd been a talentless trier - and we've had a few, but he has talent but not the brain or application to use it. That is what frustrates me

Poll: Would you be happy for Pearson to be our manager?
sidthesquid replied to St Marco's topic in The Saints
I never had a problem with the guy - my arguments against him on here were about how he had been canonised after fifteen fairly mediocre games. Quite happy to give him a go -
no -that was it

He's plays like a twelve year old who thinks he's the best in the playground. My lad's team (now under sixteen) have couple like that - plenty of potential talent but no ability whatsoever to transfer it into something useful. At under twelve or fourteen everyone thinks their the bees b*ll*cks, at sixteen they struggle to make the starting eleven. This will be his last big payday & I will be glad if it's not us giving it to him

John could have fun in League One - the other two are part of the problem, NOT part of the solution

Second best bit of news (but only just!) this week

No - alphabetical order, I'm afraid

If you had money to spare and fancied a crack at football, Saints really were a bargain. Nice ground and facilities, decent fanbase and catchment, good history but currently woefully underperforming, all for two thirds of the cost of a sk8te footballer to Liverpool - how could it be anything other than a gifthorse. In the economic climate of two years ago we would have gone for double that, had the pig-headed shareholders ever agreed on anything, but in the new reality multimillionaires with cash to spare are thin on the ground. But for a sensible person looking at a five to ten year project (as opposed to a couple of Prem glory years and sod the consequences - no names, no pack-drill Mr G of P*******th) Saints were both a snip and a really achievable challenge. Especially compared to £60 million for the sh1t ground, no fans, huge debt lot from down the road.

What questions would you ask managerial candidates if you were ML?
sidthesquid replied to eelpie's topic in The Saints
Do you make your player purchase/team selection decisions before or after you have opened the bottle? -
I actually think this is the most pointless thread ever. If I can be *rsed, I'll start a 'How about Fergie for manager?' thread to claim the title for myself.

I don't care who stays or comes in but I can't sleep easily till I know BWP has signed a five year contract with somebody else, preferably north of Manchester
-
Agent Harry was on the take from his old mate Milan - brown envelopes after every defeat. (All allegedly, of course...) How else do you explain that abject and pathetic display at Fartton Park?
-
I just have feeling Coppell might be a dark horse in this race. Saints are an attractive proposition now, especially for a man who wants to do it his own way. Surely the only way is up and we would have the resources to compete in the CCC in a couple of years. He and Tisdale would be my choices. Ince, Dowie, Keegan - overrated and with as many failures as successes behind them
-
I wouldn't mind, actually......

Don't be an *rse. He did his best in impossible circumstances, conducted himself with dignity and stayed loyal to the end. Whether he was a good coach we'll never know, but I for one say thank you for all your efforts and wish him all the best
-
I hope he doesn't get a place on the board - and why would they want him? But fair play to him, and a genuine thank you

So who will be renewing/buying a ST?
sidthesquid replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in The Saints
I was going to anyway. I'm just a sucker for punishment, but it will be nice to remember what hope and optimism feel like. (Actually, I always feel hopeful and optimistic every July, even last year, it's just that it normally doesn't last long) -
The issue was not the 10 points, it was our right to appeal. And I definitely, categorically heard Mawhinnet say that of course we had a right of appeal. That is the bit that sticks in the craw. Even for a Tory politician his about face was staggering

I think all of last years team excluding a few of the young lads are tainted goods. KD, BWP, Euell, Saggy - they can all go. This is year zero

I don't wish them out of business, but I do wish on them a bit of the suffering we have been through. They bought their five minutes of fame, and now they have to pay the price. Living here in the twilight world beyond the dark side I have taken a lot of sh1t over the last few years, so I feel I have earnt a bit of a gloat

Hurrah!

Is it just me? But I just can't take any more. I liked the sound of Pinnacle and MLT and started building up all sorts of dreams about who the mystery man might be and how everything was going to be alright, only to have it all whipped away at the last minute. I wasn't that keen on the Swiss at first, but I have sort of got used to the idea & I could grow to love Markus and his money and am already building my dreams about where we go from here. Then I read on the Echo page that this worldwide financial business is trying to gazump the deal at the last moment. They might be the best owners ever, outbidding Real Madrid, but emotionally I am sucked dry and I just feel resentment towards them for trying to scupper the deal. Please, just go away, all of you (except Markus) and let us get our club back and let me get on with my life rather than logging onto a 114 page long thread of false hopes and shattered dreams
