  1. Mawhinney really is a tw0t, isn't he? Even for a politician. He clearly and publicly stated after the deduction that we had a right to appeal, then basically blackmails the club into foregoing it.
  2. Fans Online again headline reads: Jackson ready to step in after Pinnacle failure By Rich Mann. Basically a rehash of Echo story with a biased headline. Who is Rich Mann & why is he so pro Whacko Jacko?
  3. It's Monday today - and Mondays are famous around the world as takeover days, not Fridays, so what's to worry about.....?
  4. That's the one. It was an idiotic statement I'm afraid, regardless of how much money he's put in
  5. I still have nasty feeling this is what the arguments are about - it's not the minus 10, it's the prospect of minus 25 because of the complications of not being able to complete a CVA. A CVA is a legal contract, and it is quite possible that the lawyers will say that in the real world it is impossible to conclude one because in strict legal terms SLH is being liquidated and SFC never was insolvent in the first place. At the same time the FL is saying no CVA and you take -25. Which means either the FL back down completely and accept that SFC never was in administration, or by their own rules have no choice but to impose -25. And maybe that is why the no appeal clause is the stumbler and why Pinnacle is choking on its coffee at the prospect.
  6. I just have a nasty feeling that Panda is right and they may have all got themselves in a mess and discovered at the last minute that the FL have backed themselves into a position where technically they have to give us a 25 point deduction or even refuse us joining the league, according to their own byzantine and now contradictory rules, or back down and face trouble elsewhere. And Pinnacle are not exactly happy about it.
  7. Or even his brother Andy
  8. Only with us, eh? Poopey will reveal that their new owners are arms dealers and torturers but the FA will find some polite way round rocking their Prem boat, because a number of their little gang of owners don't stand up to close scrutiny, while we will be shafted out of existence over some technicality and a tawdry t*sspot Tory tw*t like Mawhinney taking a stand on principle for the first time in his tawdry t*sspot Tory tw*ttish life
  9. For once I agree with Alps. He's a f**ing Tory, too, isn't he?
  10. Surely everyone knows that takeovers never happen on a Friday
  11. No, but he did a thankless job in impossible circumstances and at the very least he has maintained some dignity for himself and the club throughout our darkest days. So for that I thank him for his efforts and wish him the very best
  12. When is the twenty-one days up?
  13. One of the funniest ever was that Zaire player in the 74 World Cup, who ran up and kicked away the ball as the Brazilians lined up to take a free-kick, got booked, then repeated the trick a second time for the red card.
  14. An ageing and struggling John McGrath did it to a youthful John Richards of Wolves at the Dell in I think 1972 or 73. Everyone else was up the Wolves end for a corner and they were stood alone in the centre circle. Being but a lad, my concentration had wandered and I was watching them - a bit of verbals was followed by a swift blow to the head and Richards flat on the ground. Simple but effective defending, I always thought
  15. My all time favourite, too. I seem to remember that Fashanu was being ultra-aggressive that day, alternately leading with his elbow and diving on the ground at the nearest touch back. Then he absolutely flattened one of our younger players (can't remember who) quite deliberately, so the next time Fashanu had the ball, down near the corner flag, Franny just went after time. After a good thirty yard run up he launched himself at Fashanu, taking him out with a flying scissorkick tackle, around waist height, sending the big ugly oaf flying up into the air. Before he'd barely landed, Franny had already picked himself up and began walking off towards the tunnel, with the ref waddling after him. Moments like that are what make legends.
  16. Nasty, nasty rumour on the Echo page that he'd like to stay. (Possibly because the rest of football has found out what we know already & nobody has made him an offer...)
  17. Hurrah!! Second only to Skacel in the failing to live up to the hype. 3 more years on a decent wage he hardly deserves. Possibly the most brainless footballer ever to wear the red and white (and there've been a few).
  18. Jason Dodd did the presentations for my lad's club over here on the dark side last night & we got to say a very brief hello and warn him that we were in a small minority over here. There were several Poopey fans choking on their beers as their sons received awards from him and shook his hand, including one of my lad's teachers and one of his team-mates' father. Some of the sk*tes refused to applaud him, too, even though he'd turned out in his own time to present the awards. Still, a good night and good to see a flourishing club with about 15 teams from under 8 to under 18, full of keen young footballers. What it should be about
  19. Mysterious foreigner called Trepur Ewol
  20. Sorry I'm a simple soul and don't know how to attach a link, but Fansonline are at it again, with another story that Pinnacle are refusing to agree a fair price and didn't pay the full £500k exclusivity. I notice that Marc Jackson gets first mention as an alternative buyer, so am I falling for a conspiracy theory, is Fansonline being fed a line, or are our white knights a little less Dazzer than Daz? ITKs to the rescue please
  21. Brighton's big hate is Crystal Palace
  22. Written like true BNP voter......

  24. Matt Oakley doing his knee ligaments in and missing most of our relegation season having been in the form of his career
  25. The first time I ever encountered any reference to such behaviour was in a police procedure booklet one of my mates acquired circa 1980. It went into many different criminal acts, including quite a long list of possible victims of bestiality. I remember being amazed at seeing the skate there because we used to catch them while fishing off the Dorset coast when I was a kid and they had skin like sandpaper. But it is apparently all true, particularly on the remote Scottish islands and in a small area of the Hampshire coast......
