  1. Perhaps one of those West Ham joint chairmen wasn't exactly wrong when he said that Austin wasn't the big bargain he appeared to be.
  2. But last season we had other players, probably better than those who have replaced them, we are learning that you can't have your cake and eat it too. Anyway who cares, we lost to Utd, it was always on the cards .
  3. Us giving him far more money and for longer than we originally wanted to I expect.
  4. Catching Warwickshire must be our most realistic hope I suppose, 17 points ahead of us with exactly the same WDL record. Lack of bonus points throughout the season may cost us in the end, not to mention the penalty points deducted. Still 4 games to go and we seem to be both batting and bowling a bit better than the start of the season.
  5. Probably just another 10 year old Portuguese Utd "fan" posting on Facebook.
  6. Well I don't know if we're trying to buy wickets this afternoon but we're getting slammed. The target which looked totally ungettable for Notts half an hour ago now looks to be a distinct possibilty if these two batsmen stay together for much longer. then again Surrey look as if they'll win again so it may not make much difference.
  7. And Alsop and Adams going very well this morning. If we could only win this game we'd be in a good position. Above Notts and a couple of points behind Surrey with a game more to play.
  8. Well it's not too bad except that we're a goal down of course. Look quite enterprising most of the time.
  9. Absolutely, poor defending at it's finest...
  10. Watford's doesn't look any better.
  11. Pfff, Ben Arfa went back to his level, that's the difference. PSG and Lyon apart the French league is Championship mediocre. Depay is a bust and will be so until he returns to his level of ability.
  12. And probability....
  13. Good start by Smith and Adams today, on the slow side but it's a 4 day game.
  14. For no great sum of money, well by PL standards anyway..
  15. No idea whatsoever really, could go any way, I'll wait to see how we start off to get a better idea of where we'll be at the end of the season.
  16. Probably good on football manager, that's where most of these random transfer rumours seem to originate these days.
  17. For the really oldies it's even easier. Goalkeepers didn't usually have a number but let it go at 1 anyway. 2+3 full backs, 4, 5 and 6 halfbacks, right, centre and left , 7-11 forwards from outside right to outside left in that order. Then people had to start with midfield schemers and two centre backs to totally confuse the affair.
  18. He's probably not very valuable on Football Manager.
  19. 1/10 Truffé de fautes.... Doit mieux faire:blush:
  20. And with Berg having a seemingly good day with the ball it bodes well for Hampshire. Might even qualify for the knock-out stage yet. Depends on the other results I guess.
  21. But the first goal was a fair while coming and even then it was a wild deflection of an off target shot. Seemed to boost our confidence and totally destroy Sunderland's.
  22. I don't doubt that once we get our real players back into action we'll look far less "clueless". It's wannabee run out time and our actual side won't look much like that which plays in these build up games.
  23. We're still missing a few significant players though. Expect to see something more like our first XI on Wednesday. Can't really understand why we've given Davis and Bertrand so much time off, or at least so much time before paticipating in build up games. Neither of them went very far in the Euro and Long is back playing already, seems a bit unequal.
  24. I thought Gronigen look a fair bit better than any of the other sides we've played so far, at least it's a game that you can watch without being bored to tears.
