The situation seems to be quite transparent, we didn't have the necessary funds (KBilly) KL doesn't want to invest any more of her money (R Krueger) so unless we could have got a hotshot striker for the pittance we obtained for Cork (who would probably be more useful to us than said pittance) I don't see how speculating would be possible.
