  1. Game petering out into the expected draw. Bowling carrying on in the same vein as last season, no bite or penetration. Hants 263 all out, Worcs 187-1.
  2. Unsurprisng really, no forseeable future at Saints.
  3. Why on earth would whoever was piloting the aircraft want a safe ditch, you don't need to go down to the Southern Indian Ocean to do a nice non-splasher, could have ditched at any time or tried a landing in the Cocos or somewhere else. The flyer didn't want the plane found so he probably sent it into a vertical dive the farthest from civilization that he/she could imagine and let nature take care of the rest..
  4. Every game is a must win game for Cardiff by virtue of the fact that they're 6 points adrift of the 17th placed club with an inferior GD and yet they've won 1 game out of their last 6 (against Fulham) Solskjaer obviously doesn't know what he's doing and evidently neither does Tan. Being a good manager coach in the Norwegian league means less than nothing in the elevated realms of the PL.
  5. Wright honestly? probably not even as good as Davis and that's not a glowing reference. There are plenty of decent keepers that most haven't even heard of and yet we keep getting the same old hack names trotted out time after time. If I was looking for a young keeper with talent I'd be asking PSG about a loan for Areola.
  6. On the bright side you could give them their pocket money in cocoa beans...........
  7. Vela is a difficult one to judge, last I heard he'd told the Mexican FA that he wasn't interested in going to the WC because he's fed up with football and just wants the season to end. Whether he's changed his mind by now I couldn't say.
  8. But Corky and VFTT have been telling us for months that 27.5 million is the agreed price, thought it was to Chelsea though. However Mourinho doesn't rate young players so United may well have stepped in as Buttner is iffy and Evra is going to Monaco or was it Milan. Probably look like Saintschester Utd up that way next season anyway.
  9. Obviously a bit dim then, they'd have ended up on Christmas Island and you really, really don't want to go there..well not as an illegal immigrant anyway.
  10. Strawberry Fields is what you need then Bearsy, see if they've got any on the fruit trolley.
  11. Personally you could colour me dubious over tha capacities of the UN to detect anything whatsover, any time anywhere. the UN is just a gabfest that does nothing unless they're forced to by one of the security council members. On the calm sea front there was a major cyclone in the region now being searched a couple of weeks back, nothing would have stayed where it was on the surface. Anything that was there at that time will probably be washed up on Christmas Island in about 3 months.
  12. Indeed he went up high to control a ball and landed badly so that his knee folded under him, lovely bit of control though.
  13. At the end of the day the twitterer probably just got his years mixed up and really meant 2014/15 season.
  14. Not really, it's not his fault that someone drags his crap off twitter and posts it here. People are stupid, don't think it's an offence yet. The idea that JRod wouldn't be fully operational again until at least August 2015 is idiotic, not well thought out but it's twitter which I understand is entirely populated by deltas, epsilons and 3 year olds.
  15. I had a mate years back, his GFs were all called Doris, new Doris, Old Doris, Friday Doris, Sh@g Behind the Tram Sheds Doris. Now an important personage at the Town Hall I believe.
  16. No they won't. Their career paths will dictate their desire to move on or not. Not worried about Shaw leaving myself, he's a bright prospect but defensively he is raw.
  17. But I'd still be me, a name is a name, it changes nothing.
  18. Everybody tries to hide the real capabilities of their equipment. I mean if Snowden hadn't found religion or whatever it was most would never have heard of Pine Gap other than it being a monitoring station for Apollo missions or whatever. Now I've seen it described as a UFO base, an 8 km deep hole in the ground capable of recharging electric motors of Nuclear Subs in the Pacific and hundreds of other whack theories. The entire Indian Ocean and Artic region is covered by a system of OTH radars, if MH370 went in that direction then it would have been seen unless there's a band about 100 metres wide between the overlaps.
  19. Don't try to defend him it's ******, made up to titilate his followers.
  20. what in 18 months, that's not very likely now is it. At the latest it would be Septemberish.
  21. That old chesnut isn't true you know, got it from the horse's mouth in the Kings Head and Eight Bells in Cheyne Walk.
  22. Well I think you can discount the Chinese with their jamboree bag equipment. As per my post 744 the original search area was always too far south but I suspect that the Australians knew that anyway, they had to be seen to be following up on satellite data given to them. Their radar is probably one othe world's most efficient if they were actually looking in the right direction. They may well have gone back over old data and sent their equipment to roughly the right place eventually. Do not forget that the Jindalee system can theoretically spot a Cessna at over 3000km, probably more but they're not going to fall over themselves to announce what they watch and when.
  23. He wasn't doing much of a job so they might as well sack him now and get someone else in to set up next season. They probably won't go down anyway and perhaps there's competition for the replacement they want. Isn't McKay supposed to be going to West Ham...perhaps they want to try to head him off before Sam quits.
  24. You just can't tell from any statements that the club might or have made. Some players may want to leave, then it becomes very difficult to hold onto them. We'll just have to wait and see.
