We are trying ever so hard to forget exactly where we are right now. Just to recap, we are bottom with 5 points and still 7 points from the escape hatch. Even if we climb well away it will take a phenominal effort to reach the play-offs. I would love to see us do it but am trying to avoid the running before we walk syndrome. Yes it is still a possibility that we will make it but that at the moment is all. Having watched all our home games and an away at Swindon i am still slightly concerned by the weaknesses in our squad. We only need Jaidhi to have an injury persay and our whole plan can crumble before our very eyes. Before we count our chickens could we see AP add some more strength to our squad?

That could be very good news. Especially if AP is happy with his showing. Having played for Eastleigh he would be able to take some rough treatment I would hope. Maybe Baird can be given a cheer if it all pans out.

We have had so many bad calls this season that even if it was a foul we were due some luck. Their Back could and should have been sent off as could the thug who punched James. I would like to think both will get their come uppance before long.

It is nice when the fan's input is appreciated. We have had a hell of a lot of totally abysmal fare served up in recent times and still we support. I do hope that our missing support starts reappearing and gives the team and club an extra shove in the right direction.

That is a very fair point. AP will be much sought after once we are back in the CCC and still climbing. Like you I would hope that the dream would keep him here. He could become a bigger legend than big Lawrie if he succeeds. I am also confident that our owners will do their best to keep him here if he is doing the business.

What Lowe has to do with a few old windup merchants asking when AP will be "got rid" I don't understand. Last week we have people suggesting we are no better, or at most a little, than last season. Now we are on our way to Utopia. Typical Saints we never do things by halves. I am still happy to have a club. I am more content with the way our club is progressing. I am hopeful that we could reach the play offs but do not expect us to. Even at this level it is still very nice to be able to take my kids to watch us actually win a game at home. Long may it last. Next season and even after this January window I will be expecting us to win far more than we don't. Wembley would be nice at the end of the season be it cup or play offs but I won't be slashing my wrists if things take a little longer. After all we have been falling for 5 years and have got used to it. Now we have to readjust our sights and target the good life once more. Just be prepared for it to take a little while. ROME WASN'T BUILT IN A DAY.
