I've bought my normal ST seat in the Itchen Centre, but only because I was in early enough to ask for it. £18 for a Senior, (£15, plus the admin' fee added on).

......and thank god for that.

You are all awful, but I like you.

In the words of a now retired tennis player 'You cannot be serious' The World Cup games have to be shown om terrestial TV which eliminates the satellite broadcasters, thank God, while letting ITV do it all will be as good as watching the Magic Roundabout which will probably be better. ITV should be kept well clear of ALL football. Witness the shambles of last weekend and the FA Cup. Ian Dreary, et al.

Perhaps if players susceptible to ankle injuries, like Holmes, were encouraged to wear boots with more ankle support, it might help. Although I'm not advocating a return to the old leather boot, the present day tendency to run about in what can be described as little more than glorified carpet slippers with studs, certainly does not help improve the situation, especially in ground conditions such as yesterday.

Tonights 'referee', Mr L. Williamson, ( the berk from Berkshire), was totally effing useless. and 'bottled' all the important decisions, although he was ably assisted by the Itchen-side 'linesman' who had obviously never been taught the Off-side rule, or even what that little flag in his hand was for. Plus, twas he who flagged up the Brighton penalty. Pillock ! Sending them to Scotland for the week-end would be pointless as the Scots would only send then back, though they could keep Andy D'Urso, for free

SMS has the built-in capability to be expanded to 52000 though that is not very likely to happen. Rgarding the pictures of a hypothetical design with both the Itchen and Kingsland satands expanded upwards, why not go the whole hog and put a sliding roof over the pitch. I believe the PL and FL do not encourage indoor #footie' but that is easily overcome by opening up prior to kick-off.

And precious few boats from the Island either

Nothing will make England look great while they are managed by an Eye..., oops, Italian, and continually 'play' with a bunch of money grabbing tossers

A night on the alcoholics may end with a bad head in the morning which will wear off. A night on the heroin, or any other drug, for that matter, will almost certainly last lifetime. I know which I prefer.

Going 'off-thread' slightly, I thought that speed cameras, guns, etc were calibrated to record speeds within the nominal speed limit plus 10%, and plus another 2mph allowance for camera reactions. i.e. some react quicker than others. Thus you would probably get away, in some areas at least, with 35mph but fail on 36mph Answers on the back of a 'Fiver' please.

What else would you expect from a 'skate' lover, (Tony Husband),

Season Ticket holders obviously not welcome Well we can't buy our own seat, - or can we ?

The Football League have accepted the the exit from admin', on the understanding that Chanrai, et al, will not remove any monies from the club until ALL the creditors have been reimbursed. Believe that and you'll believe anything. !

What about the Robledo brothers, (George; 1951 & 52, and Edwardo, 1952) both Chilean-born internationals who played for Newcastle Utd Bill Perry, left winger for Blackpool in the 'Matthews Final' think he was Australian. and there are bound to be others. !

Nandor Hidekuti, (Hungary), the original perpetrator of what was later called 'The Revie Plan' In fact any of the 1956 Hungary side. Can't say where I saw Hidekuti play for fear of reprisals, but it was local.

Perhaps if they got rid of Gerrard and 'Cannibal' Carragher it would help to stabilise the dressing room. Perhaps introducing English as the working language, as well, instead of Euro=lingo

Oh and by the way Thorpey We were still busy sorting out Hitlers mess in 1946. For your info' the games to which you refer were in fact held in 1948

Quite agree with Whitey Grandad. the whole thing is a waste of money which could have been used to reduce the so-called 'black hole' instead of paying for all the free-loaders that appear out of the woodwork in the name of Olympic Committee members, plus their wives, kids, uncles and anybody else that can latch-on. I dread to think what the TV schedules will be like. Perhaps I'll emigrate, - to Tristan da Cunha, or Pitcairn Island. Don't think they have any TV

Coughs ,clears throat, and grins sheepishly. You're 'aving a laugh. Go on admit it.

Some very astute observations, regarding Messrs Pulis and Bignall. I liked the reference to the latter, 'runs like Linford Christie'. Would that be with, or without the 'lunch-box' ?.

Pity they did'nt improve on the screaming moron with the microphone, as well. Better still, get rid of him altogether. Cheerleader, I dont think so.
