  1. One massive rendition of "Swing Lowe, swing Rupert Lowe" is required on sunday methinks.
  2. I agree with the previous post. It seemed that attention only switched to invading the pitch AFTER the police had made their show of force. The pitch invasion wud probably still have happened but i wonder if it would have been as large or as nasty if the police hadnt of made the situation more charged than it needed to be.

If we can keep a core of experienced players for at least one more season i can see us doing well next year. A team of: Davis James, Size, Perry, Mills Smith, Surman, Gillet, Gobern McGoldrick, Paterson Should do quite well plus well probably pick up a few other experienced pros to replace the likes of Saga, BWP, Euell, Wotton, Thomas, Schniederlin, Lallana, etc.
  4. Its all acedemic now, stay up by the skin of our teeth or go down, i dont care anymore as long as the club is still here next year. Thats the only thing that matters now.
  5. Did we ever get the compensation from Covnentry for him in the end?
  6. Would be interesting to see how many people staying a night in a hotel after being told its haunted claim to have heard or seen strange things in the night compared to people who had stayed there completely oblivious. I bet you that almost all the people who didnt know it was supposed to be haunted wouldn't see or hear a thing while those who knew would be alert to even the slightest noise, the creak of a floor board, radiator settling and be prepared to put it down to signs of 'ghostly' behaviour.
  7. Well ive been a fan since 2005 so you could say that ive never seen us do very well. Would like to hope we do survive and eventually get somewhere close to being successful again in my lifetime.
  8. If only we had had this settled defence for the whole season.
  9. Battle of the two strikers. McGoldrick (Ex-Notts County player could score the goal to send them down and keep us up) or Blackstock (Ex-Saints player could score the goal to keep them up and condemn us to league 1).
  10. If its a choice of Lowe owning the club and we survive or Lowe not buying the club and it dissapearing completely i would pick the former every day of the week. Hopefully it wont come to that but if it does i cant believe anyone wud accept the demise of their club over their hatred for one man.
  11. Win the game in hand by 2+ goals and we are out of the relegation zone. After that we have to match other teams results and we are safe. Easy to say i know but weve got as much chance of getting out of it as anyone else. The defence has been shored up and on their day Saga, Euell and McGoldrick are more than capable of giving us the goals to win games. Just need to get both parts of the team firing at the same time. Seems to be that we only score when we conceed and fail to score when we keep a clean sheet at the moment.
  12. I dont know why we keep giving Poke contract extensions. Nothing ive seen of him suggests hes anywhere good enough to be a championship keeper.
  13. Not down but its getting more and more likely. We're regressing back to the **** of the last 6 months while others continue to improve. We need to get wins again and fast.
  14. These sort of teams are the ones that always seem to cause us problems. We play better against teams prepared to have a go and play the ball along the deck but faulter against 2 banks of players and a big target man. Hopefully Wotte will have done something to counter this and make the team capable of breaking down the more defensively minded opposition. If not i fear we will get caught on the break time and again and loose heavily despite having the vast majority of the possession.
  15. Not to mention the likes of Dave Kitson, Andy Keogh, Michael Kightly, Stephen Hunt and Kevin Doyle to name but a few. All plucked from relative obscurity in non league (or Irish league) to become very good championship players. Not saying Liptak is gaurenteed to be awsome for us but at least give him a chance.
  16. Dragging more and more teams into relegation contention with each passing week. Win our game in hand and we could jump 3 places (especially as its a 6 pointer against Watford).
  17. I remember that game against Ipswich during Burleys first full season in charge. We could/should have won by 4 clear goals but ended up loosing 2-1! Rasiak had a shot from the half way line that just clipped the top of the crossbar!
  18. W2 D2 L2 9 for 9 against Cant get more average than that can you?
  19. I wonder if that goal would be allowed to stand if it did cannon off the refs arse from a defenders clearance? You'd go mad if it was your team that had conceeded as its bad enough when the ref gets in the way in the middle of the park let alone in the 6 yard box.
  20. Im pretty sure he hasnt actually scored against us while at Cardiff. He did run down the whole length of the Northam screaming in delight when they got that late equaliser to make it 2-2 in an evening game a few seasons back though.
  21. Wouldn't that be ironic.
  22. One of my favourite podcasts from XFm was the one where Karls talking about a boat that was so big it had rough areas!
  23. I think 24k is the upper limit of support we can expect in the Championship. Cost of football and board problems have had an affect but the biggest problem for me is that the last 18 months of football has been utter utter dross. We could have Le Tiss as coach and Lawrie Mac as chairman and would still only get 16k if we were in the same position. Until the team picks up we wont see anymore fans turn up regardless of whether Lowe and Wilde are in charge or not.
  24. Good chant for Euell coming from the Northam yesterday as well "EEUUUUUUUULLLLLLLL"
