I'm glad I read all that, well done, chaps. The solution is to do the sensible thing and give up smoking - it'll kill you in the end. In the meantime you'll get ill more often, smell like an ashtray, be less physically fit than otherwise, waste ****-loads of cash and have to go out in the cold every few hours during winter. I hope this helps.

I don't go very much any more, but simple logic tells me we need somebody who can put it in the onion bag. That man is not McGoldrick. It's more likely to be Saga. If we have to lose a couple of the defenders who have so far got us into this perilous position, then so be it. It's not like they'll be here for the long haul anyway. Cork and Pearce will **** off as soon as they get a sniff of something better. We may as well gamble a little bit to try to stay in the league. If we don't score, we can't win.

If somebody else is available and will do it for the same money as Jan, I'd be tempted. Surely they would have to do better. He seems a perfectly nice bloke, but not up to it at this level. Maybe even give Wotte a go? Things are getting desperate and the ship is sinking.

When my Dad started taking me at age 10 I used to wear a ManYoo shirt. He was instructed by my Mum and maternal grandmother not to interfere and to let me make my own mind up, so my first game was not until I was just about to leave primary school. However, once I had been to a few games at The Dell I was in no doubt where my allegiances lay. The character of the ground, the special atmosphere, the full stadium, the excitement of the backs-to-the-wall relegation battles, Matt Le Tiss and Super Kenny Monkou were all there. Every game seemed amazing, even the 3-0 (or was it only 2) home defeat to Arsenal third XI (Micky Evans' debut game, for those who remember) was great fun. The old Ugly Inside fanzine was witty and subversive and each home match was a real treat. I think if he had started to take me to home games as a 10-year-old now, I would probably tell him where to go and would have carried on in my bad ways. None of the things that got me into Saints are there any more and it's really ****ing sad. I remain, Wilko P.S. Tickets were £5 for kids when I started going. I dread to think how much they are now.

Well played, Chorley. Any expression of discontent is worth making in these sick times. I remain, Wilko

I did not vote with my 200 shares. Meh.

Speaking of Christmas, does anybody know where I can buy cheese footballs? I can't find any and the missus is upset about it.

James Purnell can suck my balls. He's a **** of the highest order. Labour my arse.
-
Meh. Not sure it would achieve anything.

Four is a cop out in my opinion. Should be higher.

Meh. I'm beyond getting worked up about this ****.

15,000 tickets sold, Season ticket holder allowed to buy more tickets

Can't be arsed. -
Not really. He was dog**** after he came back from Blackburn.

Wednesday played a bit better and our lads faded a bit. What of it? It's time people were realistic. The kids are young and will learn, but for the moment we need to be patient. Slagging people off will do nobody any good. When we were in the Premiership, with overpaid primadonnas under-performing it was fair enough to have a go. However, at the moment our players are a bunch of kids, who are still developing and need our support. I dislike what Rupert, Wilde and, to a certain extent, Crouch have done to the club as much as anybody else. But as far as the on-pitch affairs go, that's irrelevant. Jan is doing his best with very limited resources and the young uns are playing nice footie. It could be a whole lot worse. It's time we all grew up a bit.
-
Why is everybody so bloody negative? The kids played really well today and deserved to win the game. Sure, the finishing wasn't great, but what do you expect with a bunch of youngsters? Those who booed at the end should hang their heads in shame. They played their hearts out today. We need to realise where we are - we can't afford more than what we have. The kids are coming on well. People should give them a chance.

The boys were great today and it was an entertainint game of football. I'm not a season ticket holder, or even a member, bu at least I'm not ignorant. How anybody can complain after that performance is beyond me.

bungle is right. You either believe in state intervention in people's lives, or not. ID cards and the DNA database are a gross infringement upon our human rights and a massive waste of money. They must be stopped.

I like the spurs song about Sol Campbell. Harsh, but fair. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/columnists/rod_liddle/article4882261.ece

I am also more excited about tomorrow than the ManYoo game. I'm hoping we play 4-4-2 to give McG some support. Having said that, I'm a part-timer going to only my third of the season, so do not have much to back this opinion up. COYS

£30 to see us get humped by their reserves? No thanks. Plus, why do season ticket holders get two each? Surely that just means there will be loads of spares floating around for Mancs to get their hands on. I'll watch it on TV.
