  1. You preach the virtue of patience yet worshiped a chairman that got through 10 managers in as many years including sacking Paul Sturrock two games into a season! Do you suffer from a bi polar personality disorder or something?
  2. Saturday is a must win game in my book. Pardew and the players might not like the pressure, but that's the nature of football - if you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen. No more excuses.
  3. Alan Pardew should be getting the results our spending on players warrants by now. I'm losing patience because for all the talk he's not delivering. If we're still in the relegation zone at Christmas he's got to go, but for now we've got to stick with it.
  4. Just gonna nip down Ladbrokers and put £50 on a Saints win. We're gonna click tonight and win in style.
  5. Teachers are losers in life. If they were as smart as they think they are they'd have used their qualifications to get a proper job. It's ironic that such underachievers are the people teaching future generations.
  6. I'm sorry to be sexist but when a woman does a mans job it is invariably doesn't work.

    4-5-1

Precisely, and we should stick with the system. We're playing well and the wins will come.
  8. http://thepompeychimes.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=50846&start=0 Oooooh, the pikeys are revolting. ROFL.
  9. I wonder if the Pompey scum are reading this thread. I do hope so. To think we're on -1 points in the third division and still have the upper hand and are laughing our heads off at the pikeys expense. Sanjay Al Fayed (or whatever his name is) is a officially a Saints legend.
  10. It's bizarre how people assume people who are racist are NAZI sympathisers. Some far right sympathisers do subscribe to a NAZI doctrine, but many many more do not. Across the pond in the USA there is widespread support for Israels stance against Islamic nations - these people are not NAZI sympathisers go give an example. I'd guestimate that less than 10% of BNP voters are NAZI supporters, the remainder are merely left wing Labour voters who have become disinfranchised by their party and have become right wing as a result. Self preservation and survival of the fittest is a natural trait of humanity so it's understandable for the white working classes to resent immigrants in their comunities and they will naturally look to a party that will represent their views. Left wing is essentially seeking distribution of wealth and right wing is essentially seeking a preservation of a status quo. Labour is now seen as the party that represent immigrants by a growing numbers of its traditional voters so it's completely rational for these voters to seek a party that protects them from those wishing to climb the social ladder. Ultimately it's the upper classes that lose out to pay for the rise in the lower classes, but in Britain todays it's the old working classes that are the ones being asked to foot the bill for immigration.
  11. Yes they are. A few years ago i had a hire car and knocked a Gibraltarian off his bike. I naturally checked in the rear view mirror to see if he was ok and you never saw such a display of gesticulations. I may have stopped to offer reimbursement for the damaged bicycle but for his attitude. Let that be a lesson to him.
  12. The goals will come... All good building starts at the back and we've cracked that. It's just a matter of time until we start to click going forwards.
  13. “I am proud to be the new owner of Portsmouth FC and I am committed to taking this club forward. I will invest prudently in players and infrastructure and I will ensure that Portsmouth FC remains loyal to its values, in particular through its engagement with the local community.” Ha Ha Ha. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/sep/23/portsmouth-sulaiman-al-fahim-transfer-window "We're not in a hurry to sign stars and we're not going to go into the transfer market at the moment. We'll probably start signing next summer when we have the necessary liquidity to do so. It depends on how the business side of things evolves between now and then but that would be the logical stage [to do so]." "My model of a club is Arsenal." Oh dear - what a shame.
  14. I wonder what 19C drives?
  15. 9 points from these three games is achieveable. I still think the play-offs are realistic with the team we've got. Come on Saints, now is the time to get into gear.
  16. Tony just go away and don't come back. You have no relevency to SFC and never did have.
  17. Pompey have had average gates below 10,000 for 8 seasons since 1947, whilst Saints have never averaged below 10,000 during that period. It just goes to show what a massive club Pompey are.
  18. There's no place at SFC for supporters clubs like SISA or The Saints Trust because all they achieve is to disunite. Fine have groups that organise travel to away games or for social activities. Now that Mr Liebherr is at the club there's no need for direct action etc which makes the likes of R Chorley and P MacMillan seem like shop stewards from a 1970's sitcom. The Solent fans forum was a great sucess and it's events such as this that should be replicated. We don't need wannabe dictators shouting on our behalf because history has taught us that they only speak for themselves. Prior to the Supporterss Direct bull**** we had many local supporters clubs that "did what it says on the tin" and were social groups for travel etc. We need to get back to those days because frankly they worked and so did not need fixing.
  19. I used to have time for SISA during the Lowe Out struggle, but the performance of Perry MacMillan at the fans forum made me cringe. He came across as a complete div and his "speech" was of no interest to anyone apart from himself. SISA are as much a supporters group as the Saints Trust in that neither represent anyone apart from the people who run them.
  20. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/frattonlatest/Taylor-Falling-Fratton-attendances-a.5634138.jp And Taylor, right, who racked up 29 goals in 203 Pompey games during his five-and-a-half years on the south coast, is worried the legendary Fratton faithful are losing interest. Now for some reality: Average attendances 1989-90: 5,325 1990-91: 9,681 1991-92: 8,789 1992-93: 9,706 1993-94: 7,692 1994-95: 8,629 1995-96: 9,503 1996-97: 8,723 1997-98: 11,149 1998-99: 11,956 1999-00: 13,906 2000-01: 13,707 2001-02: 15,121 2002-03: 18,934 2003-04: 20,108 2004-05: 20,072 2005-06: 19,840 2006-07: 19,862 2007-08: 20,438 2008-09: 19,829 Woooooo what a massive club.

    Cocaine

I'm not bragging, i'm just contributing to the thread on a subject that was a big part of my life. If truth be told i'm more anti than pro drugs and certainly think downgrading canabis was a daft decision taken by liberal doogooders who probably had one or two tokes on spliff during their uni days and considered themselves expert enough to think it quite harmless. Make no mistake i used to love getting as wasted as possible, but i've no regrets because that's what i did and there were good times and bad. It's not all a bed of roses and i'm sorry if that's the impression i gave. In the early days it was all good but gradually i ended up a wreck to the point i was getting paranoid walking down the street. This went on for a while because i was hooked but i reached the point when i knew i needed to clear my head. One day i just stopped and since then i've been clean barring a few very very rare occasions when i might have a little bit of snow. Hardly a hero.

    Cocaine

I'd agree with this. It also makes you horny as **** and makes sex 100 times better. That said it's very easy to get hooked because it's a pure drug (unlike say speed or pills) and the downers are not so depressing. The trouble with charlie now though (as oposed to say 5 years ago) is that finding good gear is difficult because it's cut to **** with other sh1t. I've done it quite a few times, but gone off it because for £40/£50 a gramme it's a right rip off if it's cut. 1/2 a gram used to plenty when it was good but it's now like pills are now when you can take 10 and still not be ****ed. In the old days 1 pill got you hammered and 2 or 3 in a session and you were wasted. I still think base (pure speed) is the best drug (even with the side effects - can't sleep, can't eat, can't get drunk (sometimes a bonus cos you can drink like a fish so ideal for works parties) but it's not so common now. The best trips i've ever had have been on a mixture of speed, puff and alcohol - even better than microdots, tabs or shrooms! I'm past all this **** now, but for special occasions i can't say i wouldn't have a relapse.
  23. I'd just like to say what utter retards the SISA people were at the meeting. It was an hour long forum where valid questions were the order of the day and SISA retard no.1 came out with some stupid question about the pint of Guiness - i mean what a spasticated point to make which was met with groans, and SISA retard no.2 came out with a boring pointless speech (he was only interested in the sound of his own voice - not remotely interested in a response, in fact i don't think he even asked a question) that no body gave a **** about. These dimebars really are thick as **** and were the only negative part of a thoroughly enjoyable fans forum. I thought Alan Pardew, Nicola Cortese and Kelvin Davies were fantastic and made the whole forum thoroughly enjoyable to listen to. Also i like the way Nicola promised to look into making provision for disabled fans to travel to away games. It's fantastic to have such good honest and decent people at our club. And AP's explanation of why KD will always be our captain (even if the armband is handed to an outful player during games) was a thoroughly decent way to go. Great people and it made me proud to support SFC.
  24. Cortese basically calls Mark Fry an incompetent dickhead. (obviously not the words he used ). Also Tony Lynams consortium stopped us having a pre season under Marcus Liebherr and almost stopped the deal happening because of their time wasting.
  25. typical. trying to listen online and it's not on. anyone got a link that works?
