Post Match Reaction: SAINTS 1-0 West Brom
beatlesaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I have to say taking Cork off as MP seems to regularly do at present does leave us more open. Not sure its the wisest tactic. Obviously it worked yesterday cos Gaston made the goal but it does worry me. -
Yeah exactly, you would be able to spot a Kelvin coached keeper a mile away. I cannot understand after all these years of being so poor at his near post how coaches have not worked on it with him or why with all his experience he hasnt improved that aspect of his game. You couldn't seriously have him coach keepers on position when week in and week out he makes the same basic goalkeeping error. Having said that he is currently better than Gazza. It is what it is, we are stuck with it.

Wouldn't work cos they run to all four corners of the pitch and Fox is never that far back when defending and rarely reaches the bye line when attacking ;-)
-
Yeah and he played a full part in turning a 2-1 lead at Man City last season into a 3-2 defeat as well as a 4-2 at Newcastle and a 6-1 at Arsenal defeat, not forgetting his falling asleep and handing Spurs 3 points just before Christmas.
-
I just dont understand these people who say if Shaw is injured then Fox is a good man to come in. He isnt, he is bloody rubbish, a liability and as has been said Cylne left back and Chambers right back if Luke is out. If someone wants to buy him then fantastic, I wouldnt lose any sleep over him not being at the club. How many goals have to come from his bad positional play or him just turning off his concentration for people to get that he is our opponents biggest asset when he plays !

How lucky are we that in the almost 13 years since St Marys opened it hasn't been flooded yet ? Who would credit it eh ?
-
I fully expect the Danny and Jos show to be in full swing for this game. Would be very surprised if Shaw, Lovren, Fonte, Morgan, Lallana and a couple of others were featured but I hope I'm wrong as the league position means we are one of the teams that should give this competition a bloody good go. I assume Burnley will rest a few too.....if they dont then Skybet's 6-1 for an away win looks a fair punt.

It's horrendous here in Bournemouth........mind you it usually is and that's nothing to do with the weather :-) But it is pelting down....
-
Obviously the OP is entitled to his opinion but I cannot agree with it
-
Couldn't agree more. Spot on.

Oh give me strength........I think we mean in footballing terms not in major trauma terms. Sorry for not making it clear in order to avoid confusion :-/
-
I think Jack has made his point to MP over the last few weeks.
-
Was that really 30 years ago that little runt Heath scored that goal ? Bloody hell, I need to move on, I've been haunted by that all this time.........
-
Not sure that applies when the keeper inquestion installs no bloody confidence in anyone in front of him.
-
Matthew Le God;1839612]How will that have any bearing on today's game? Well obviously it doesn't but there is the old horses for courses saying. Man United always win at Villa for example, West Ham don't win at Anfield, Spurs went over 70 years not winnig there, we dont have a great record playing the Welsh teams away and so on. Hopefully we will put that right today....
-
Oh ok, I hope that turns out to be true.
-
No idea. I was wondering what happened to the annual Christmas visit to see the kids in hospital however.
-
If you haven't said that with your tongue firmly in your cheek you are talking out of your bottom ;-)
-
Nice to know at least one of the players could see it too then !
-
Jos, Yoshida, Fox. I would get rid of all in January if any mug is fool enough to take them.
-
For once I dont think he did.
-
If only the Skates hadn't rushed into this Richie Barker signing......... :-D
-
exactly this for me too. Will never forget his contribution and the chance for my old man and I to see a Wembley win !
