mee fkin owww There is no need to be like that is there, we all support Saints.

Thats Ben Reeves.

The diamond formation doesn't do Rickie any favours as he has to drift out wide. He is much better, goalscoring wise in a 4-4-2. However he has got a good football brain. A lot of his passing is excellent. Just look at the little ball he dinked through for Barnard to score on Saturday.

This is Pompey though, they can do whatever they like.

yeah of course, sorry, your view in Dubai on a computer screen was a lot better than mine, sat in line with the shot. The deflection, if there was one, was slight to say the least and the gap left was not slight. I did go on to say he had a better more assured game than recently so wind your neck in and what the hell you are talking about with NA's comments on the OS is beyond me. Sorry if expressing the opinion that our goalkeeper has a weakness when it comes to near post shots from an angle upsets you but its only my opinion...and that of a fair few others who dont come anywhere near this website. And if you read it properly you will see I am not only referring to yesterdays game. Seems the real experts are those that dont go to games and live in bloody Austria or Dubai.........
-
Not disputing that, absolutely right, but he needs to work on positioning for the near post stuff. Adkins was a keeper, I'm sure he will have noted KD's achilies heel.
-
If you look at the gallery on the OS Lambert shows similar passion !
-
Why are they ? Basic goalkeeping coaching tells you to have your near post covered at all times - Davis does not, he constantaly gives a forward the opportunity to put the ball in at the near post. How many goals has he conceeded at the near post this season from an angle where scoring there should not be an option ? He had a much better game yesterday having said that, for the first time in ages he didnt tit around taking forever to distribute the ball and looked more assured......but that near post thing is a worry.
-
And thereby lies the problem. Lambert is crap when he ventures out wide. What is the point, he has no pace and the big centre forward that defenders in this league hate isnt in the bloody middle. Second half, when the subs came on, Lambert played more like last season, in other words leading the line, in the middle of the park, not on the wing !
-
Well the Stephens was pretty anonymous statement comes from the fact he is not Brian Howard, and derry likes Brian Howard...a lot :-) The more reasonable summary was that Stephens came on and was very calm, kept the ball moving, passed to our players and looked a decent little player.
-
Did he actually touch the ball between the first and second goal or were his goals literally his first two touches ? Cos if they were I dont think I have ever seen a sub do that before......and I've been watching this club since 1976.
-
I like Chaplow but I would start with Dale Stephens on Tuesday night and drop Chappers to the bench.
-
I'm guessing nobody joined in with that :-)

Is it just me.Or do other people think!

Yeah, not alone did he say HOME game as has been pointed out but Brighton will be promoted by the time we go there, not exactly gonna care are they ? Besides our record at Brighton isnt too bad over the years. -
I kinda like the way they keep forgetting us.......just go about our business quietly without any fuss :-)
-
Unfortunately that is all too true, its not like we haven't done it before is it ?
-
So they have failed to win their last 3 games which by that arrogant git Fergies target means they have to win all 7 of their remaining games !
-
The 4-1 v Liverpool as mentioned several times above The 4-0 v Spurs in Cup again as above The 6-3 v Man Utd as above plus for me Saints 4 - 1 V Notts Forest in 1979 - Phil Boyer scored two, we were fantastic that day. Saints 5 - 5 V Coventry in 1982 Saints 8 - 2 V Coventry in 1984 I think it was.
-
Our leader does have a wonderful if not slightly strange turn of phrase sometimes. Sounds like he's talking about a faulty computer or something.
-
What a short memory you have.
-
He obviously hasn't studied the league table!

Lets just quietly go about the job in hand, never mind a bloody commentator on Sky ! In last Mondays Peterbro game he said THREE bloody times that Posh had come from 3 down against us !! To make the mistake once is bad enough but FFS, 3 times ! -
Fantastic day, loved every minute of it :-) I miss Papa and Antonio. I think thats been the difference this year. With those two coming off the bench you never knew what to expect. There is very little to change things this year when its not going well. The excitiement of them being so unpredictable is whats missed I think.

Another vote for Fonte here too !

No, 2. The injury was last Tuesday.

I didnt bother to follow the games tonight, I wrote them off as an MK win and a Peterborough win. Great surprise switching on to find out they both dropped points. I expect Huddersfield to win on Sunday but they would only be 5 points in front having played 3 games more. Its all looking good.......surely we wont screw this up........will we ?
