The irony is Daren that most of those who slag off Lawrie come out with some incredible, outlandish statements on this forum when talking about Cortese, Adkins, the players. Much of it is based in ignorance and speculation and they contribute nothing to the club.....oh they might cheer when a player having a bad game gets taken off though........yet a man who was our most successful manager, a fact nobody can dispute, is treated like dirt from behind the safety of a keyboard. It was disallowed because David Armstrong was about 2 inches offside nowhere near the ball !! One of the most annoying and ridiculous decisions of many over the years. At least Armstrong made amends by scoring the winner :-)

The reporter who put his name to this article, Alex Montgomery, was for many years a journalist on The Sun. Back in Lawrie's days he was always the guy who covered our matches and got many many exclusives about the Saints - new signings etc etc. I am not suggesting that Lawrie is behind this story, I would like to believe he would never do that, but I am just putting some Alex Montgomery facts out there for you !

Ahh but you see many people on here who have the wrist slitting tools next to their armchairs dont think the other teams will drop points and that we have to win all our games to stand a remote chance of automatic promotion. Quite how Bournemouth and Huddersfield will both win when they play each other in a few weeks is beyond me but there you go. There are so many games coming up where teams in the top 8 or 9 have to play each other and will take points off each other. We have to ensure we keep steadily picking up points consistantly and not worry about what the others will do week in week out.

With our attacking options having been limited with Lallana, Connolly and Guly (ok it was only 1 game) injured and N'gassen and Forte only coming into the building in the past week Adkins would have been crucified on here if he had rested or dropped Alex to the bench. Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it ?

The reason Nick was not given a season ticket is quite simply because when he has a **** at half time he is incapable of reading a bloody great sign that says NO EXIT and ALWAYS goes out the wrong door !!!!

When Kelvin goes through a dodgy spell boy is he scary. When Kelvin is on top form there is no keeper better in this division. Unfortunately the dodgy Kelvin is back in town. I suggest he gets rid of the SKD shorts for a while !!!!
