City can pay it or I am just not interested.
-
6m decent price 70k a week wages, MADNESS. I'd take him if we are paying 30k a week, no more though. Agreed!

Is there any team you dislike more than Pompey?
pingwing replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
MK Dons because of what they represent and QPR for being very very scummy. -
Rafael the best right back in the world?? Behave! He's turd and I am ashamed of humanity if others can't see that. Fabio better than Luke Shaw is just as embarrassing and just isn't true either. Great sunday laugh though
-
Put a 0 on the end of that price and throw in Aztepullia and maybe I'd be happy. To think if the "top 6" could offer first team to a good/young player like real teams they would pay 1/100th of the price they seem to end up paying these days... Playing over paid washed out stars in these positions seems to back fire every single time.

I think the Metro has been in here claiming £16.5M is spurs valuation along with Chelsea playing the he's a fan of us card... http://metro.co.uk/2013/03/21/tottenham-ready-to-battle-chelsea-for-southampton-star-luke-shaw-3552638/

After 8 games, what are your thoughts...
pingwing replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
Pochettino. Liked Adkins a lot but I have generally enjoyed these 8 games more (regardless of results) than Adkins games over this season. Generally Pochettino seems to have gotten the team playing better football (though not always scoring) and slowly is getting everyone on the right page of what he wants from the team when Adkins had us playing specifically against different teams (has a lot of merit to that tactic but was getting frustrating when we had a few games where nothing really happened). The way we sacked Adkins was a bit odd but in a reflective mood we needed something to get the club up and enthusiastic again regardless of results. -
Your best of the season Saints player? Schneiderlin Best individual performance from any player Saints/Opposition? Ramierez Arsenal at home Best match performance from Saints? Liverpool or City at home Highest point of excitement? Coming away from Villa after robbing them. Best Saints goal scored? Clyne's goal against Villa as it was a well taken finish and an amazing team move. Lowest point that you thought it was all doom and gloom? Throwing it away against United or just not turning up to Arsenal away at all. Best goal conceded? Legit goal - Modibo Maiga the 4th away at West Ham, Non-legit goal Cisse or Jerome are basically the same. Best Song/comment heard on the terraces? The Grant Holt one just because he is so rubbish and hated being told about it! Worse pundit you have come across since our arrival back in the big time? Lawro, that scottish one on motd, Keown and that other ex arsenal hanger on... Garth Crooks too, but he's been an idiot for longer than I've been alive. Best pundit? Colin Murray, only interesting person to do with football.

Or the odd technicality of how age and lack of experience are detrimental to value (and contradict them selves)... As well as the other classic of players struggling to make back what we paid, doubt there are any of the current team that couldn't command at least what we spent
-
I sadly remember the day listening to a middle aged woman in the ichin south screaming about he was the biggest waste of space in L1 because "he always passed to a safe player and was doing nothing useful" Never been back to that end of the ichin because explaining to her how passing to free players instead of having chappers on not doing a lot was too much of a challenge... Morg player of the year this year, especially now we have the system for him and Cork all worked out properly (nearly 2 years working on it has paid off).
-
Mainly because they'll be broke and with their tails between their legs offering fat sam another contract seeing as no one else in their right mind would manage them (accept Appleton seeing as he's always ready for a new challenge) Plus I like the conformation of the 3 teams promoted last year we are the best.

"Suarez: Hardly touched the ball on attack and was left frustrated. 5" best bit about the whole day really
-
Tear them a new one I say!
-
Best thing written on the internet! Best keeper we have and is probably the most composed player in the team.
-
Glad we tore then a new one! Clyne MOTM because he took Suarez out of the game magnificently. Morg MOTOM too for being a tank! So long as we play more teams that play properly we'll be fine
-
"I don't understand why they harangued the referee after Artur Boruc had made that great late penalty save from Grant Holt either" Urm because it was a mad little ref decision from someone who wanted to be the centre of attention and could have cost us anything from a game we should have won... Strange pundit sometimes.
-
Lol 2 threads on something that came up on bbc gossip! Bottom line says its speculation that we might not be able to hang on to him if we get relegated.... Disappointed Arsenal haven't been linked with replacing Vermaelen who Fonte or Yoshida as well, seemed much more credible ones...
-
As much as I don't like being taken off tv an extra saturday 3pm fixture always goes down a treat!
-
I really hope he doesn't end up at Reading
-
Curse Fonte proving me wrong! I agree 7.2 is a fair rating, worth significantly more than the £2m we paid for him at very least!

Lallana Voted 2nd Best Young Player By Premier Managers
pingwing replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
Schniderlin not really fashionable? -
Blackpool was the only rubbish team I could think up off the top of my head, that Derby side and that Sunderland side Kelvin was the keeper for are down there with the worst premier league sides of all time now I give it a little more though. The only reality is Reading have bought terribly, not put any money into staying up and are the propper "yoyo strategy team"

Of our 3 playing CB's (Forren can't be judged till he's maybe played one day) Yoshida is the best. He's the most intelligent and best at making decisions. A simple example was his performance at home against Norwich where instead of doing what Hooiveld ALWAYS does against big strikers (jumping with them for the ball and conceding free kicks) he took a step back on Holt and won the ball as Holt was failing to control the ball. He does the simple things in the right way that give him an edge to his overall game. Not a LB or a RB sadly (not matter how many of our managers thing he can play out there) as he's not really the best crosser, but neither is Fonte or Hooiveld (both had terrible attempts at shots last weekend as well). Him and Fonte are still our most effective CB pairing though.

I'd get married in that
