Loads of possession, play well, go down to a fluke goal. Sunday papers - 'club in turmoil' , and total forum meltdown.

Cortese has left Southampton Football Club - Officially Confirmed

Guess it was always going to end like this after Markus died. Wish we could have made it until the end of the season though, and Cortese could have overseen the sale. -
A few months of the mid-table stability and investment that I spent god knows how many years wanting, and now normal service is resumed.

He's entitled to a line or two of Nigella tonight

May as well try and put some pace on the ball when crossing it, just a thought like.

Legend, love the bloke. It's such a sterile and bland world, I for one welcome these little 'outbursts'. Genuine eccentricity is rare these days, most of it seems utterly contrived and Shoreditch-esque hipster nonsense.

The increase in numbers will make it even harder to park the Range Rover near the ground, there will be no space to store the picnic hamper, and it will be a frightful challenge to keep baby Crispin occupied without being seated. No!

You could probably get away with either Fox and Jos playing if we had Wanyama there as protection, but playing together without Vic and we have no chance. To be fair most teams in world football would struggle to win a competitive game with them both in the starting XI, they are that bad. And when you throw in a keeper with very little ability and even less confidence and you've got a total calamity waiting to happen. So all things considered we did as well as could be expected.

It's the Foxy and Jos show!!! Please just leave the club you cretins.

hahaha, that bloke is such a useless *****

Can't work which one I want, the 40s from Skybet on Ledley King, or the 50s from Hills on Justin Edinburgh.

My personal favorite away day of all time, great memories of being there with my Dad. I recall a bloke and his kid next to me, who were clearly not saints and just there to watch a match, looking utterly bemused by the people climbing up the stadium supports and the general carnage going on around them.

Daft ****

After the initial mistake he just decided to watch the game for a bit before getting back on his line! Jesus

Anyone who just talks about football and tactics all the time. So boring.

Post Match Reaction: SAINTS 2-3 Aston Villa
sfc1976 replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
We're a mid-table team and we're...... mid-table. Still better than most of the dross I've seen from us over the last 20 years. -
Our dream is real. It's happening.

Not seeking to defend his overall work ethic and commitment etc, but I honestly can't remember him having that many genuine chances of scoring since being here? It's not like he's fouling up one on ones all the time.

Offered practically nothing going forward, and beaten accordingly.
-
Hard to see how players like Osvaldo really fit in to this kind of pressing system, they just can't seem to grasp that they need to put a shift in.
-
From Lovren to Hoovield makes it more of an 'upset' than a reasonable chance of getting something for me. He's just not very good.

Did something similar at Stoke but got away with it. Time to learn from it now.
