  1. I'd like to see the midfield three of Davis/Wanyama/Morgan starting again now they are fit.
  2. Watched the game on tv alongside a liverpool fan, which didn't make for pleasant viewing. Poor play by midfield giving Coutinho time and space, for his wonder strike. Really couldn't afford to give them a lead to sit upon. Ref had a poor game, unwilling to make tough decisions. First penalty i could sort of understand him giving the benefit of the doubt but the 2nd one where Allen cleaned djokovic was inexcusable. Made worse by the lino being unable to keep up with play and spot Mignolet handling outside the area later. 2nd half reminded me of Swansea game where we ran out of ideas. 2nd goal was very poor from Targett and Forster could have done better too. Really need to regroup and get a win next weekend or dream could be well and truly dead.
  3. Still got no time for him. Think its just a case of lip service for the sake of it. When it came down to it his actions in the summer showed his true thoughts about Saints. I don't think he's worth the effort of booing.
  4. I'm still annoyed at his choice to go and play 2nd fiddle at Liverpool over being the main man in this new upwardly mobile Saints. Don't think he's ever going to be played to his best effect in Rodgers team as he's down the pecking order. I guess it's part of modern football i've got to learn to get used to, there won't be another Le Tissier. Personally i think Saints should just blank him. Not sure i see the point or value in jeering him, on making anti-Lallana chants. The biggest insult we can land is through support of the current Saints, ensuring Saints finish above Liverpool.
  5. No, prefer gambling on the game changing top 4 dream.
  6. I'd go for Forster Clyne, Fonte, Yoshida, Targett Morgan Vic Davis Tadic Mane Pelle Subs Davis, Toby, JWP, Elia, Reed, Djurcic, Gardos The Toby/Yoshida is the only one i'm really 50/50 on, just cause Yoshida's played well and Toby's been out for a while. After the way we've played in recent week's i'm not particularly confident. Just hoping we can step back up and expose the weaknesses in the Liverpool team, that are there to be exploited.
  7. And yet a club of similar stature West Ham were playing a midfielder at centre back on Sunday. The club could have recalled Stephens in January but they didn't so they clearly don't see depth as an issue. Personally I'm pretty happy for Saints to continue to have quality core and support it with academy players.
  8. Always expected Morgan would go this summer. My only disappointment would be if he goes to a non champions league regular club. The silence around Clyne makes it seem likely he might follow. I'd be annoyed if he left for a non champions league club especially if we achieved the the miracle and qualified for it. It would annoy me if Jrod left in the summer. It would enrage me if the club let Vic and Morgan both leave in the summer.
  9. Disappointing if true if Morgan is doubtful. Personally i'd be tempted to start Tadic and use Elia as an impact sub.
  10. Not a very good performance. The win was all that counted though. Hopefully Morgan and Vic will be fit to start next game and JWP can drop back down to the bench.
  11. Loss of Targett is a blow. From replays i saw can't really say there was anything malicious in it. Wonder if it was just how he landed. Hope Saints can stay focused.
  12. Good news about Morgan and Vic. Hopefully both are fully recovered and can stay fit, now that we've lost some of our strength in that area. I'd go with Forster, Clyne, Fonte, Yoshi, Targett, Morgan, Vic, Davis, Elia, Tadic, Pelle. Bench Kelvin, Gardos, Reed, JWP, Mane, Seager, Isgrove
  13. Hope not. Personally i want to see him back in his more advanced role replacing JWP , as i think we've missed him there. Don't think Elia, Mane and Tadic should play together, as the balance of the team suffers.
  14. Depends on definition of what is a red card. My preference is that, that sort of tackle wouldn't be a red card as it wouldn't have been in the past. However they've radically changed the interpretation and under that expanded interpretation its possible to justify it as a red. So doubt there's any chance of a successful appeal.
  15. Said it at half time. Can't dominate a half completely and walk in level. Absurdly poor in the final third. 2nd half Swansea played better, Koeman gambled on the win taking off reed and they caught us out. Disappointed Forster didn't save Shelvey's shot to be honest.
  16. Disappointing first half, lack of end product despite dominating the game. Don't expect Swansea to be that bad again in the 2nd half.
  17. On the face of it seems a bit of a gamble. Only thing we can do is trust koeman and co judgment though.
  18. Disagree saints could have made him an offer in the summer when he was keen on a new contract. Don't think it's as simple as first team football now but more a lack of faith that he even would get opportunities if others moved on given how many hoops he was made jump through even to get a contract offer.
  19. Sad to see him go, one of my favourite saints players of recent times. Remember being amazed how good on the ball he was the first time I saw him live. Think he'll be a big hit at Swansea.
  20. Not particularly confident. Lost cork, neither Morgan or vic available yet, so midfield looks very weak.
  21. Not offering a contract in the summer thereby annoying the player, then offering him one a month ago is poorly handling the contract situation imo. Played more often than vic under Mopo. Played a fair amount this season considering he's been out injured since before Christmas.
  22. Agree with every word. Poorly handled imo.
  23. Think you are the one who's joking.
  24. Very sad it's now official. It'll be very hard to replace him, let alone cheaply or at short notice imo.
  25. Agree clearly someone didn't rate him, i'd assume Reed. As a fan i think it was a mistake.
