The board and club have been taking the fans for a ride for quite a while now. Given this, is it surprising, especially when we have a team of mercenaries on the field, half of which don't bother to play?

Not really. For a few years it was prodigious. But its in a lull at the moment. That is natural. Or do you see 10 Messi's at barca (one for each year of the last decade).

Given we just failed to beat a mid table championship side's second string; I think our fans should be a lot more humble about the proposition of Huddersfield. We'll do very well to get anything more than a draw here.

Our attacking players just aren't good enough. And by this I mean the attacking mids / wingers. They can't finish, they aren't quick enough with their play, and they don't create enough decent chances for the striker. Selling Mane for £30m and not adequately replacing his attacking threat was probably the worst bit of business we've done since Bale and Fourpast.

This will just make the whole market worse to be honest. Less time to make transfers, higher pressure. What they should have done was get rid of the transfer window full stop. Needless to say, people will just lap this up regardless.

Will be ironic if she's just sold us to the equivalent of Chanrai and we're all thanking her for it. But for what Marcus, Nicola and Katrina have done, we have certainly been very lucky to have them at the club.

Will be blunt. I am not sure there is much between VVD's current ability, and where stephens will be at the end of the season. VVD is a fantastic footballer and a giant of a man who is superb physically but sometimes lacks intelligence. Stephens is a classy defender who is only getting better and better with each game I watch him. He's not VVD yet, but I can see him being very good.

I think we're in for a good season. And that means goals. Think we'll be solid at the with quite a few goals (+10 GD sort of territory). But not super tight like the last few years. Sadly we could have been stronger than we are, and it's another summer wasted in that regard by our board.
