    Puel

I actually think Puel will come good if Les and the board let him. In truth we should have smashed West Ham with the chances we created. And we're (Forster) is either getting absolutely no luck or he's turned into a cack keeper. I honestly think that if we kept Puel and gave him a bit more money this summer to strengthen the key areas we would be challenging top 7 again.
  2. It would be shocking if we let him go. Clearly destined to be a good quality prem striker. His loan at blackburn is doing him the world of good and he is doing a fair bit to steer them out of a serious relegation scrap.
  3. Need to pull this off. We are in trouble otherwise. In Puel we trust!
  4. Has to either drastically change his ways or go. Simple as that. He is on the verge of completely destroying everything cortese built.

    Les Reed

Please stop giving credit to reed. It was cortese that achieved that. And this January marked Les Reed's triumph... The removal of the last cortese legacy in fonte. Les Reed has ditched almost all of them... Poch, lallana, Lambert, lovren, Shaw, clyne, wanyama, Morgan, chambers... Our ambition died the second cortese was ousted and the only thing papering over that was koeman... Someone who clearly encroached on Reed's ego/territory and so he was also shifted out.... The only common denominator in everyone that leaves saints is Les Reed. Even the chief scout. And the delusionals on here want to give reed credit for what came before (when good) but blame cortese for the bad. I've even seen them praise him for finding mopo when. Cortese went and bloody head hunted him in person. There was a clear change of ambition the second Les got his hands on the keys and cortese was ousted. Since then he has set about undermining what came before through PR and leaks in the press, whisky dismantling that entire team and structure. Fonte was the last piece. Les Reed dame's the fans' bond to the team, sold the club's soul and appears incapable of letting anyone else at the club performing well and outshining him. Absolutely has to either change his ways or go. And the Fonte/VVD fiasco is the final straw.... But then I've been wanting him out for a couple of years and been insulted for it on this forum non stop. There is literally no excuse for risking our prem place and massively damaging our chances in a cup final the way he has done with do the and VVD. An absolute train wreck.
  6. Puel is a yes man. Whatever happens, the board/management deserve and we better pray for a good outcome. Cortese was ousted by Reed. And Reed has now removed all of the cortese era players. Aside from Yoshi, there is no first team players still at the club that Cortese signed... yet in the 3 years since he left we've sold Pelle and Mane that Cortese didn't sign. Given our turnover of players, that is a remarkable bias.
  7. Yeah you're probably right... but I reckon its going to get tight at some point, and I imagine the fanbase moral dropping significantly unless Puel turns it around results wise. Currently we're looking at Yoshi and Stephens vs ZLATAN.
  8. Just imagine if Romeu or Yoshi get inured. Dont think we'll win again this season.
  9. love that your worried about wembley... we're heading for a relegation scrap unless we start averaging 3 goals a game... let that sink in for a bit! At least i got to see VVD's last game in a Saints shirt!
  10. February is knee jerk?
  11. Puel out! Oh wait, its okay, because we are in a cup final:lol:
  12. In other more cynical words - the kit this year is a bit gash and we've undersold.... therefore we'll use this as a golden chance to flog a few more of them
  13. Its a very valid point. I think for a long time now away fans get sniffed at. Its easy to go to home matches, far hard for away games.
  14. Looks like a crap Jayrod to me...
  15. Best news all week!!!! Get in VVD. Will have a definite impact on Liverpool if he plays. And on us ofc.
  16. I don't think there is any point arguing over this, nor in defending Les. If VVD is out for the semi and we don't get to Wembley as a result then Uncle Les has really dropped a clanger. Has anyone considered what happens if Yoshi or Stephens pick up a knock?!?!?! Say first 20min in the semi And the semi is only one aspect of this, we have been very poor of late and have been relying on our defence quite often to get points. Stephens is a good lad, but its a trial by fire for him tomorrow! Here is to hoping we have another Gem coming through. I guess he's in a win win situation himself, everyone will fear the worst, he gets to start a cup final, and he has an opportunity to really make a name for himself - because certainly there will be a lot of eyes on the untested youngster!!
  17. Is VVD fit or not. Pulling my damn hair out here!!! Mind you, I still think we'll win whether he's there or not! Liverpool have a complex about saints these days. The ones who left don't like playing us, their fans no they've raped and pillaged us over the years but they are always the favourites... and yet we nearly always give them a game plus a few hidings... We'll need to score for sure, but I think it might take 2 goals - and I think we'll do it. Go Saints!!! Standard disclaimer - if we lose because of a week defence and no VVD then its 100% going on Les' head.
  18. Fonte would give his absolute all for saints in his last ever appearance in a cup semi final. He penned the fans a leaving letter and has had 8 incredible and emotional years here. I really can't believe fans think that little of him.
  19. Are you joking mate? We created so many more decent chances from this and put Leicester under loads of pressure. JWP goal is 100% a goal from a cross. The own goal was a cross. Jayrods goal was from a freekick crossed in and headed down. Then there were numerous other chances including the first one of the match that redmond should have scored with. Insane that you can't see how much more potent we were with more numbers forward and more players in and around the box. It put real pressure on Leicester and took pressure off of our defence as the ball was nearly always in front of them. More direct, quicker tempo, and more attacking. More of the same please.
  20. Then he is an idiot. Because we should never have sold Fonte without having a replacement. Could all have been done on Thursday. Only a muppet would expect Liverpool to strengthen our team right before a cup semi final against them. There is absolutely no defence for what he has done with Fonte, the timing is horrendous and could very well cot us a cup final. I just hope for all our sakes that our best player and captain is fit!!
  21. The big difference is that we played more direct and had 3-4 players in the box for each cross.
  22. Team moral is rock bottom. Beginning to be great full there is so much crap beneath us in the league. That said, I'd expect Leicester to beat us! Sent from my Nexus 9 using Tapatalk
  23. Well said tbh. Only maybe lallana of the promotion bunch should get any grumbles and in further he was great for us. But seriously, anyone who believes the club and are slimey board on this are total morons. It is always the same, little ITK snippets on here, then let reporters in the press etc that tow the club line.... It's fonte off... Yeah yeah.. he such a billy big boy, a greedy bar steward etc... He upset the team.... So much that the players are coming out and saying they're gutted he's gone. He went down a league, won at Wembley with us, took us to back to back promotions, took us to 8th, 7th, 6th in the league, got us in Europe twice.... And these dip****s that we have as fans think he's just another greedy player who has milked is for all he's worth. It's clear he's been treated badly by the club this season, things have gone on behind closed doors and with only a few years left he had the choice of being marginalised and dropped, or making what he could of the club shoving him out. If he was a bad influence on the dressing room then our best players wouldn't be publicly stating they are upset at him leaving... Smacks of the impact the Lambert sale had and I suspect we'll see a similar exodus this summer. The only ones who are "greedy" at our board. They have dismantled the cortese team forcefully now, fonte was the last. They have flogged our soul and link to the team at the first opportunity to get what money they can, and they don't reinvest it... And yet, for some reason, we have fans that don't like it - but always it's the players fault, the managers fault, and not that of the board. Our ambition left when we lost cortese. Poch went, the team went, koeman went, his team torn apart. The common denominator isnt that they are all greedy slimey men, it's our board. Fonte deserves a hero's welcome, and he deserved to haved stayed here for a testimonial. As it is, from the golden team of a generation, only Kelvin got one. That is a bad joke and a failure by the board.
  24. We really have some bell ends who will literally swallow whatever the club put in the press. Short memories and gullible fans. perfect for our board.
  25. He is on loan at Blackburn.... not a positive.
