  1. Spurs is a bigger job than us. Most people are ambitious and want to better themselves. Probably he knew that the owner did not want to make a serious top 4 push whereas spurs do. Can´t blame him for going at all. No doubt some idiot fans (football has plenty) will still boo or sing songs that are not as funny or clever as they think but hey ho.. that's English football.
  2. One of our all time greats. If he had gone anywhere else I might have been a bit annoyed, but you can´t fault someone for wanting to fulfill his childhood dreams. He has done more than a fair shift for us. Sure he will get a great reception next time he plays at St Marys. There is always the odd moron though.
  3. When we go back down to league 1 maybe.
  4. One of our all time greats, hope he does well at Liverpool (apart from against us of course). Will be interesting to see how they plan to use him at Liverpool. Surely they wont have Sturridge, Suarez and Ricky in the same Xv.. Not a bad super sub though.
  5. It would have been nice if they could have added something along the lines of "we would like to thank mopo for all his work and acheivements and wish him well in the future" etc etc. There is a right and wrong way to handle these situations.
  6. Cant thing of a day I have been prouder (is that a word?) to be a saints fan.. Cardiff 2003 is the only thing that comes close.
  7. Now that you have identifies 8 as the median, you may as well tell us the skew and kurtosis as well..
  8. Seeing as this is our best season in my lifetime (29) i´ll give it 9/10. As fans, we all want to do well in the cups, but I do believe that a trophy will come, we just need to be patient. That will be the 10/10 year.
  9. We will get 5 more points. 1 at villa, 1 at swansea and 3 against united. We will lose to Everton.
  10. Oddly, I think teams with foreign managers are more likely to go for the FA cup as it is still seen as the worlds best domestic cup by people outside of England. Maybe that is because the games they see are the ones that have been chosen to be televised, not an all championship clash watched by about 50 people.
  11. "Maybe Katrina has better plans for the club" Better for her maybe, sell to the highest bidder and finally free up he father´s fortune. Whether that is better for the club will depend on who buys it and if they can (unlikely in my opinion) keep MP as manager. I am normally an optimist, but have a horrible vision in my head of saints in the championship in 2 years time with Ian Holloway at the helm promising a lat surge into the playoffs.
  12. Madrid at the moment. New York for the 2 years before that. Still holding out for that champions league tie at the Bernabeu..
  13. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
  14. Really? Or do you mean you did? I think most people recognised he was one of the best managers in the country several years ago. It was a surprise he turned down Liverpool, we don't know what went on there, but he did well at swansea and a wigan side who really should have gone down years ago so I´d say most people expected him to do well at Everton.
  15. Clearly a stupid post, but looking at the table it is true that a few more defeats and we could quickly go on a slide. A few years ago Blackpool had an amazing start, admittedly not for as long as ours, and ended up going down. I dont think that will happen for us, we have a quality squad and will finish top 8 but none the less, Villa is massive tonight.
  16. Great news, not only for the 3 players involved, but also the young guys like JWP, Luke and Nathaniel who now can see that being at Southampton is not a barrier to getting called up for England. Their time will come. Well done Roy for looking outside the fashionable teams.
  17. You´d like to think the fans would be more interested in getting behind saints than booing someone else.. sadly most football fans are morons so I guess that will not be the case.
  18. No Money - Wrong No world class coaches - subjective but plainly wrong No world class facilities - Wrong Whoever wrote that is clearly an ignorant tit.
  19. Not lived in london for a few years but Canecao used to be a really good option. Its a Brazillian bar that shows all the 3pm games, has foreign sattelite feeds so better than online streaming. Also good food and some hot brazillian fellow drinkers.
  20. "I'd like to apologise for singing "Feed the Goat and he will score" in the past.I really hope Shaun Goater never thought he was a goat"
  21. If he takes 5 strikers then he should get the last place. No way is he behind Defoe.
  22. There now exists a "big 6" of United, City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs. Realistically, we are competing with Everton, West Brom, Swansea etc to come top on the rest. 14 points after 7 games is fantastic and gives us a nice cushion for when a bad run happens, and it will happen, does to everybody. Personally, I would like to see us take a strong team to sunderland and try and win the league cup like Swansea last season. That is still our most realistic route into Europe.
  23. Fly to Santiago, worth staying there as well, beautiful city.
  24. Rob green (free) in the rip off team.
  25. Done. If you are allowed, would be interesting to see the final results and your project.
