So if last season they sold 10,600 and so far they've sold 5,500 of which over a thousand weren't season ticket holders last year, that means they are about 6,000 down at the minute. Early bird finishes on 11th July, so they'd better get a move on.

Hodgson doesn't seem to know what style of football he wants the team to play. If we are going to play a possession game we need players who are good at working in tight spaces and can thread a pass. What we don't need are pacy attackers. What we've done in both games is hold the ball, the opposition drop back and get organised, meaning that when we get the ball to Sterling, Sturridge etc there's no space left for them to run into and they just get crowded out. Fast players work best in a counter-attacking setup where we break quickly and get the ball forward early. I'm also not sure about this idea that we've got a really young team. Inexperienced perhaps, but I don't think the average age is all that young is it?

He needs to hurry up and get fit so he can be reunited with Poch at Spurs. The clock is ticking. -
Because ball playing centre backs are rare. Ball playing full backs aren't, but most of them don't have the physique to play in the middle. As we've also got a good right back, it makes sense to consider whether we could accommodate Chambers and Clyne in the same team. It's not just us saying it either, fairly sure I've seen quotes from people in the game saying the same. If we're going to play wing backs I'd say Clyne fits that role more naturally. Not sure how this would fit with the other opinion that one of the experts on 5 live had at the weekend, who stated that Chambers would be the long term England right back.

Chambers would be good in a back 3.

I think it's funny that Liverpool and Man U fans assume the signings of Shaw and Lallana will go through instantly now. Somehow I don't think that's what Saints meant when they said that no deals will be done until we have a new manager?

Perhaps she could just lose some f*cking weight?

I'm fairly sure Koeman was also there, working for Dutch TV. That's where his quote came from last night saying that he'd had talks with an English club.
-
That guy looks awful in his 'highlights' video. If he's a £30m player then we're undercharging for Lallana....

I can't believe Bournemouth are getting anything at all. He's been with us since was 12, must be on his fourth or fifth contract since he came. Sell-on fees ought to have some kind of timescale attached to them, there comes a point where the amount of development made at the current club massively outweighs what came before.

Isn't that Les Read?

Those 2 Super Cups are those country's equivalents of the Charity Shield. I think in both cases he took over clubs that had just won the league. So neither of those wins are particularly impressive.

When did he say that? -
Is every sticker in a box unique? I didn't know that, I assumed you'd get duplicates within the same box.

You're assuming the board have any say in the matter. Let's face it, if Lallana and/or Shaw want to leave they'll leave, we aren't going to hold them against their will. I hope they don't go, but if that's their choice then so be it. We should all remember that Shaw could have left before he signed his current contract (and any of the big clubs would have taken him), and all we'd have got is a few hundred thousand development money. Lallana has had other offers as well in the past. Whatever anyone decides to do, it's up to the club to make the most of it.

Yeah I've just got myself a new credit card to buy mine on. Back in the Rupert Lowe days we had to pay for season tickets in March, and we constantly sold our best players so had no idea what team would show up next season. So I'm fairly blase about the whole thing. Whatever will be will be.

Wanyama could easily be a £20-£30m player in a couple of years. I think he's got more potential than Morgan (who is also a bloody good player, don't get me wrong).

Think people are misunderstanding the point the OP is making. In 2003 / 2004 our average crowd was 31,717. This year our highest crowd was 31,659. So despite having quite a few 'sold out' games, none of them even got to our average attendance ten years ago. Yesterday was a sell out, but is was 1,000 less than our record attendance. That's a big difference, they must be counting differently these days.

With the amount of pointing to the badge on his chest he was doing when he walked round the pitch yesterday, it didn't really look like the actions of someone who's about to leave. Regarding joining Liverpool, I think I'd wait to see what happens to Suarez before joining them. Without him this season they'd have been 4 or 5 places lower in the table. If he goes to Madrid, coupled with the extra Champions League matches, they may well have peaked already.

Les Reed was strongly against the idea when they spoke to him at the awards night on Tuesday. He couldn't see how it would benefit our players. It's a stupid idea, it may work in other countries but few countries have such a strong lower league setup as England. Some of the top flight clubs in Spain don't get crowds of much more than 10k, so I imagine lower than that it's 5 men and their dogs.

I actually like that Leverkusen one, it's a lot better than our current shirt. Personally think the Milan kit looks awful. I know everyone seems to hate the kit we have at the minute (I'm not too keen myself), but I do see an awful lot of them out and about. Bearing in mind I live in Fareham, it's the most common kit at the football training my son attends in Stubbington.

That's not exactly gossip is it. They clearly rate Chambers above Clyne, it's been evident all season. -
This isn't shops though is it? It's restaurants, a cinema and maybe a bowling alley. If it's true that Odeon want to move out of Leisure World to this site, I'd have thought people would be happy with this idea. The entire West Quay site then becomes something along similar lines to Gunwharf, but bigger and with proper shops instead of outlet stores. As usual when something like this is discussed, you seem to talk as if it's the council investing and doing the work. I don't imagine SCC have £70m knocking around to invest in vanity projects. If they did, then maybe they should reduce council tax instead?

Why do they need a 3rd kit? Surely a club with the community at heart should be able to come up with a home and away kit to cover all clashes. 3rd kits are just a scheme to milk fans of money.
