I was thinking this, a few people have said that Gunn should be number 1 but by all accounts he didn't have much to do last game. McCarthy's biggest asset is the way he controls his box compared to FF, we need to see that from Gunn too before we start calling for him as no. 1.

Very pleased about Vardy being out, that means they will play Iheanacho who looked poor against United, Vestegaard and Yoshi should be able to handle him easily. Obviously if Hoedt and Stephens start again then we'll concede about 4 headed goals. Had a quick read of the St Mirren forum, it sounds as though their manager is planning on playing him as a DM with "bonus" CB experience. Also said he will probably go straight into the squad for their game at the weekend. Their fans say they don't have a DM so if Alfie plays there he could be getting a lot of game time.

From what he showed today, we didn't miss out on much. Nice Puel player - can pass it around a bit - but didn't do much and his delivery from set pieces was awful. Hope he proves not to be great, my father-in-law is a huge Leicester fan and was rubbing it in when Maddison chose them over us!
