Amazing how GM whom apparently goes to all the games, lives locally, has a local business etc, is one of the biggest ****e stirrer's on here.
-
I still want to be a happy clapper every time I see your avatar!
-
One thing you can say about GM apart from the obvious is that he really knows how to get a reaction. I was an ex pat but have since moved back but at the time the only thing I missed about the UK was my team. This site and the previous was a god send and kept me in touch with what was happening and what the fans where thinking and saying including the same old provocative GM rants back then.

That is my concern, not a fire sale as such, but we have a few players in there who may not want another season in this league.
-
Mood seems a bit flat this morning. As others whom have posted above, if we cannot be consistent with the team we have now, how the hell are we going to get promotion next season let alone this one, and that is assuming that we keep our best players until then. I do wonder if the likes of Lambert, Fonte, Barnard etc have been sold the story that we will definately gain promotion this season hence one of the factors why they joined us and not a club in a higher league. Yes good salaries help , but will these guys want to stay in this crap league another season. If they do up and go what, chance have we got next season.

Stopped taking your pills GM?

It seems that no matter who manages us, owns us, plays for us, supports us, we are and always have been inconsistent. It is a disease we have had for many a long time and one we have still not shaken off. We seem to have this ability of making life really difficult for ourselves. Yes, life is a lot brighter for us now with the new owners and the old school all removed etc, but what is it about us that stops us from setting the world on fire. Answers on a post card please!
-
Why do I always expect more from saints and yet they still serve out the same old inconsistent **** that they always have.
-
If we lose or draw tonight then we can well and truly say goodbye to promotion this season. I think we will win though.
-
Cannot see on the BBC predictor our away game at Brighton. I had us scraping through on the last game only to realise that us and brighton had not played.
-
Well done boys, we still have an outside chance if we can keep winning and the teams above show some inconsistency.

Who owns the land at Farton park?

Jury is out for me on this, Waigo for me has the same flaw in his game as Lallana and that is in front of goal. Don't get me wrong, both have huge potential, but someone needs to show them how to put the ball in the back of the net especially when there is only the goalkeeper to beat. The reason we lost yesterday is because these two did not finish very good chances.
-
I must be the only one here then truly missing something with Lallana. I thought Lallana's endeavor and effort were faultless and he gave his all 100%, but for all his hussle and bussle and little bits of trickery he was not that effective in front of goal. His shots are more often than not scuffed or very weak and sometimes he can be selfish in front of goal when he could of passed to another player in a better position. We all love a guy who shows commitment to the cause and someone who shows true emotion with the pain of being beaten, but I do think some of us think he is better than he really is at the moment. He does have a lot of potential but lets not over hype the guy. The one bit of magic that the pompey sub produced for their first goal was better than anything Lallana did all game.
-
yep, agreed.
-
We tried and but for a little more up front we could have won easily. Gutted they have won again but all shall change soon. Just one thing I have noticed though, Lallana frustrates the hell out of me, I like him and I think he is tricky but in front of goal his efforts are really weak. But overall, well done saints, the effort cannot be faulted.

Ok, large one coming up.

MK Dons Build Up Thread - It's a sell-out, folks!

Got to agree with this DB, our form seems to be slipping and they are well capable of turning us over. Too many on here think it is a done deal. Hopefully AP can get stuck into them and make them up their performance, if they turn up playing like they have in the last couple of league games we can say goodbye to Wembly. -
My take is to drop the players who are underperforming and suffering a lack of form, Lallana being one of them, it is in their best interests and the teams. I dont get this continual playing of players who are out of touch hoping that they will play themselves back into form. A few matches on the bench will soon bring the form back. Even RL may benefit from a a few matches on the bench as it is plain to see that his effectiveness has dropped probably from being overplayed and as a loan striker.

TT, I think some on here are jealous that you live in the sunshine mate away from this beautiful country of ours and for that reason you are not deserving of getting to see your team once in a while. Glad to see that there are a few that still honour the values of camaraderie. Hope you get your tickets TT. -
Perhaps we are buying too many mediocre players when just one or two quality players would suffice.
