Predicted team for tomorrow. ------------McCarthy--------------- Martina-Stephens-Yoshida-Targett -------------Reed------------------- ----------JWP-Hojbjerg------------- -----------Hesketh----------------- ----Long-----------Rodriguez------ Subs Forster,Fonte,Bertrand,Romeu,Redmond, Tadic, Austin

Can still score and it be a poor penalty like Cazorla's against us on Saturday. JWP's have been much better, haven't seen Tadic get one right in the corner yet.....Wouldn't trust him with them myself.
-
Martina's defensive awareness and positioning has improved greatly since he joined us. Seems to be an intelligent footballer who learns quickly. He must be one of the fittest most athletic players on our team as well, the diamond worked so much better last night as he was constantly going up and down the wing, never stopping. If that outside of the foot cross for Austin's header was from an elite player (say Rooney) the media would be drooling over it all eve/morning but barely gets a mention because it was Martina..
-
Tadic shouldn't be on penalties, every single one I have seen him take has been poor. Austin or JWP should take them.
-
We played 4-5-1 most of that game with Redmond, Long/Rodriguez and Tadic changing from CF-RW-LW from time to time.
-
6 of one half a dozen of the other Giroud put his arm into Fonte's face first, therefore first offence should be penalised. All this didn't matter of course as a player was down in the six yard box with a head injury so played should of been stopped. At least Bobby Madley will not be refereeing a Premier League game this weekend.....Great news for us! He must of had a shocker in the eyes of the assessors

Imagine if we got an owner who was like Dr. Tony Xia His twitter account is gold https://twitter.com/Dr_TonyXia
-
Seeing as Mane absolutely despised Koeman it would of had to been one of the two
-
Get Long down the middle and Tadic on the left ffs
-
Why has Cedric's crossing become worse than what I see in the league I play in on Sundays?
-
Saints play in the Premier League where there is no promotion.
-
To be fair it works for clubs in the lower leagues, massively helps prevent clubs 'doing a Pompey', though Bournemouth seem to be giving it their best shot For Premier League clubs with owners at the club for 5 years or more though, I think the restraints should be minimal IMO

The Secret Footballer claims saints academy is critisised inside football
Saint IQ replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
Do you remember those really fast athletic fellas we had at left back from our academy bombing down the wings in the recent decade? They were both black weren't they, like our apparent policy....Oh wait. That promising winger Josh Sims, and previous youth prospect Lloyd Isgrove who played on the wing, they were both your typical black winger speed merchant weren't they? Evidence suggests what the secret footballer is writing there is either bs, an unsubstantiated dig from a former s**** or highly exaggerated to make the book a bit more interesting -
His best performances for me is when he has come on at HT against a big team and we've won the game, Chelsea away comes to mind but I'm certain there were one or two others.

How does anything I wrote in that post suggest I was on his back trying to hound him out of the club?
-
Win a trophy here then Jose Fonte, look at when United won the FA cup last year, it means f-all to them compared to a club outside the top 4 winning a trophy. No one will remember that back up centre back that won the FA cup for United in 2016 in 10 years time, people still remember the team that won the cup for Southampton 1976.
-
Agree with all of them but 9th-13th of those could well be any order, don't think West Ham will do that well this season and Middlesbrough could just sneak into the top ten.
-
This is correct Probably the worst window to get heavily involved in, (so many players going for way way over their actual value) maybe January will be more of a gold mine (probably not) and hopefully, due to no manager upheaval we can get more business done and wrapped up early next summer.

Newcastle made 31m profit and spent 55m!
-
Reed needs a Championship season on loan for sure.
-
We're clearly needing another option other than Romeu at the bottom of diamond, if we're going to persist with it I would like us to go all out to get William Carvalho
-
A- Poor him B- He has stayed as no one better at football than us has wanted him. C- No way not this late in the window, if he wanted to move he should of asked at the end of last season.

If we're doing best players for us no matter how long they had been here I'd go with ---------Niemi--------- Clyne-Toby-VVD--Bale ----Morgan-Wanyama- Lallana-Le Tiss-Mane-- -------Lambert------- If we're doing a dream team taking into account longevity and as well as how good they were I'd go with ---------Niemi----------- Clyne-Fonte-Killer-Bridge ---------Morgan---------- Lallana-------------Mane ---------Le Tiss---------- -----Lambert-Pahars Bench, Forster, Benali, Dodd, Marsden, Claus, Beattie, Bale

Picked up a potentially serious knee injury... If so we have to decide whether to either keep Martina, sell him and buy another right back, sell him and loan another right back or sell him and promote the talented Yan Valery to 2nd choice right back!?
