  4. Dave Besant - Bottler (think about it)
  5. Hey, thanks for the reply and I am so sorry to hear that you have been through this too. She is going to see a shrink on Friday and the school are now involved and will give her support (finally - that has been a struggle). Because of the distance and circumstances I dont see her as much as I like but do want to be there for her as much as I can be. Thanks for the link and I'll be in touch when I hear more if thats ok?

    Anorexia

My 15 year old daughter has just been diagnosed with this. The problem I have is that she lives about 50 miles away from me with her mother who refuses to talk to me. We have been divorced for some time and she has remarried. I do have access to my daughter though. I want to help her but dont know what to do. If anyone has had a similar experience I'd be grateful for advice in how to deal with this. Thanks
  7. 70 minute player anyway
  8. I am sure tht this was done to death when first published, but I wasnt interested in it so didnt read the thread. However, whilst having some time to kill in the supermatket yesterday I picked it up and browsed through the bit about his time with us. The bit I read was about Clive Woodward and his methods. I always got the impression that Redknapp wasnt happy with his appointment and didnt let him anywhere near the first team. Could be Harry rewritting history but he seemed quite accepting of Woodward in his book. He did however suggest that footballers didnt have the time to employ Woodwards methods because their schedule was so hectic. My understanding off Woodwards (and others who use the same techniques) methods involved muscle memory which involves a lot or repetition. Johhny Wilkisnon being a prime example. Now Harry wanst having any of this but interesting that players like Beckham and his own nephew Frank Lampard both stayed behind after training for extra practice and both became quality strikers of a football. If they could find the time out of their hectic schedules, why couldnt the others? In the little I read he came across very much like these new people come into the game and tell us how to do things when we have been there and done it several times over and dont need you whippersnappers telling us how to do things. No wonder English football is going backwards.
  9. A hole with scorched edges? Ewww
  10. Large hole appears. Experts looking into it.
  11. Is "open for business" the new firesale? Seems odd that we can talk about hoovering up players from Feyenoord but when Liverpool do it to us it is different?
  12. Ever the optimist!!! Why wouldnt he? he will get paid more money despite his injury and if he does want out in the future it will hardly bind him here for the duration. If he is clever he will ask for a buy out clause. There is no guarantee that he will be the same player again so this gives him security. I'd say he would be crazy not to.
  13. I dont think anyone is happy with what happened earlier on. I have some sympathy for KL and the Board. They were clearly blindsided by Pochettino and the behaviour of Lallana and Lovren wasnt helpful. The media of course having smelt blood had a field day and added more petrol to the fire. It has been a torrid time but the Board pulled off a major coup by getting Koeman and all the indications are that we are looking to replace any leavers with quality. It wasnt the preseason we expected but it many respects the enforced changes have ramped things up. We will be hoping that Ronald can take things on further and that our old manager will get sacked!
  14. After watching the WC the PSG Board must be wondering if they have a get out clause.
  15. That was more like a cucumber!
  16. Which is why the price for Shaw was so staggering.
  17. Training gherkins?
  18. Indeed. Saints v Saints Reserves had SKY all over it. I hope the SKY jinx takes a day off.
  19. What makes you think I have a fascination with you? How old are you? If that was all you were saying, fine. But every day you post how surprised, strange or bemused you or others supposedly are when you really have no idea what is going on behind the scenes. You clearly have no confidence that the Board know what they are doing (despite employing a quality manager and quietly going about building up the squad). There are many reasons why Cork has not signed a new contract yet - but to you it is strange. Here is a thought - to save yourself time in which you could be doing something for more productive and interesting. Wait until the end of the transfer window and then knock yourself out with one megapost in which you can talk about all the strange, surprising and bemusing decisions that the current Board have made safe in the knowledge that these things have or haven't happened and are not pure conjecture!
  20. Carles Puyol and The Hound from Game of Thrones.
  21. Here you go again. It is only strange if you have a down on the current Board and look for mischief in everything that is going on. You have no idea what is going on behind the scenes so instead of adding 2 + 2 and making 1863727 why dont you just wait and see before adding more surprised, strange and bemused announcements? Cortese has gone. Time for you to move on.
  22. How do you know what the Board are doing? Are you ITK or is this just your usual negative spin?
  23. Interested to see that United and Liverpool are not getting all of their targetted players either. So it isnt just Southampton who have problems in getting players on board, happens to the best!
