  1. Nope that I ain't...but I am consistant!!!
  2. He is right though. It really is pathetic. There are far more impartant things to worry about (like will there be a SFC next season) than if the previous Chairman took time out to go to a football match.
  3. Funny this, Woote didn't do much worse than Pearson with a poorer squad. If we had gone down with Pearson last year would the reaction had been the same? Afterall he only managed to win three games. I suspect it has more to do with Pearson not being a Lowe appointment and Wotte was. Even Burley gets stick on here yet in comparison things were a great deal better under him..but he was another Lowe appoitment so he has to be bad right?
  4. In which case my lack of going to games does not matter does it? I have never made a call on not to go because I do not like someone at the club. I have never made a call to give my money to the oppostion because I boycotted St Marys. I stopped going to see live matches regularly when I was 17 because I was playing football myself. Since then I have continued to go to a handful of games a season and that will continue no matter who our CEO is and what division we are in. The club will not get rich on my financial contribution, but I have been behind them 100%since 1966.
  5. As Manager or CEO???
  6. It is not one thing or another, but what is ceratin is that if you are not bank rolled to a decent extent eventually you will go down.
  7. How many CHairman are "techincally skilled in football matters"? Their job is to run the club and they need a different skill set. Something we seem to frown on at SFC for some reason? Respect works both ways. I imagine if I had been treated like all the head honchos we have had over the last few years I would develop a seige mentality too. Perhaps this is the real difference? That the people at Norwich don't think they have a God given right to play their football in the Premiership whereas our supports do? Perhaps that makes a difference to how they all approach their circumstances? Interesting to see how their support is still there whereas ours left in droves. Can't use Lowe being here as an excuse now either. We shall see just how much of a "big club" we really are next season.
  8. Which given our fair weather supporters means we will be stuffed from the start.
  9. More important things to worry about surely?
  10. Some of those will be off - Davis and Saga certainly I would say.
  11. Very interesting, but what has this do do with SFC?
  12. So we were screwed either way? Seems a bit off. If the "offence" was commited now surely the points should be docked now? B*astards!
  13. I don't get tis? Does it mean that is we survive this season we shall start minus 10 next season or is it 2 bites of the cherry? If we survive they dock the points this season and we still go down???
  14. Nail on head Nick.
  15. Optimism? Really? And I thought he was gone for good last time......
  16. Yep, because the last ones made such a good job of it didn't they?
  17. That would be the same Nigel Pearson who nealry took us down with 20 mins to spare and better players??? The financial situation was set out at the start of the season and we were basically stuffed. A decsion was made (joined up thinking) to get rid of the high earners and to go with youth with a coaching set up that was used to brining youth through. It didn't work but at least we had a plan. If the high earners had stayed we would have gone under sooner. Devil and the deep blue sea....
  18. Maybe so, but take a look around you and at all the businesses going under. We are supposed to be a nation of "shopkeepers" - many of them would seem to be incompetant.
  19. Wan't the "youth policy" also dictated by the financial situation??? I don't think JP would have got three wins back to back so at least Wotte has given us a fighting chance. Trouble is you wouldn't want to be alongside many of these players in the trenches. We can all be clever with hindsight but you do wonder how we would have fared if Wotte had been no 1 and JP no 2 at the start of the season.
  20. I might be losing the plot here, but wasn't the club be run over its overdraft facility before Lowe came back?
  21. Funny that, I don't rember said fans rushing back when he went the first time???
  22. You seem to miss the point. With SLH plc dying so too could SFC.
  23. I know where you are coming from. There seem to be many here who think we were some kind of super team and have a God given right to be in the premiership. We have had a handful of really good seasons, plenty of average ons and some down right poor seasons (with better players than we have now). Leeds have a far more glorious past than us but have fared worse recently. You evolve or you die. We haven't been able to deal with the loss of money (and fans) since relegation so we are currently "dying". It is currently happening to plenty of similar clubs around us. No it is not nice, but we are not the only ones suffering and we are not immune to the affects of relegation.

    Wotte OUT

I think that we would be safe now if we had started the season with Wotte. He has less to work with than Pearson did and hasn't done much worse. Any manager can only do so much but once the whistle blows it is down to those on the pitch to perform. We have certain posters on here constantly telling us how rubbish George Burley was (despite him being our "best" manager in terms of points gained. When things are cr*p people look to apportion blame to one individual when, in truth, it is usually down to many factors.
  25. The Southampton I know went down as bottom club a few years ago. It also went down in 1973. Without MLT the Southampton I know probably would fallen out of the top flight even sooner. The Southampton I know struggled to go back in the 70's despite keeping players like Mike Channon. Rose tinted glases? It hasn't all been plain sailing.
