  1. I'd have BFS over Moyes any day of the week. I think he'd get the best out the squad, and add a bit of steel and resilience. I don't get these "hands-off" managers, surely that is what you'd want to be as a manager. Having a direct impact/influence on ho your team performs.
  2. I'd have BFS or WGS over Hughes. Fitness, direction, cohesion would make us much more competitive. We have a more than capable squad, they just need to be coached and worked hard!
  3. Sorry but I just can’t see that happening. There might be a small gesture to appease the fans, but really we have very little impact on how a club is run. Plus if we drop, I’m sure most of us lot will renew and numbers might go to high teens. Years ago it might have worked, can’t see it today. Clubs and fans are so far removed from each other nowadays.
  4. There are enough of the clueless new-breed of saints fans around where I sit to show that we’d never get a mass protest anyway. Plus, they don’t need the fans for income anymore so I’m not sure they’d be that bothered.
  5. Long has never been an out and out striker. Ever. That has never been his strength.
  6. **** me. What a bunch of *****.
  7. Not sure an afternoon of FIFA really counts...
  8. Comedic defending. Have these guys ever done any defensive drills?!
  9. My first listen and I’ll be tuning in again. Pretty much bang on in all areas.
  10. I’d like to see Bednarek back in the fold. He was excellent when he was in the side through necessity at the end of last season. Looked like he might actually be worthy of a regular slot, but clearly Hughes thinks otherwise.
  11. Go against the crowd? You mean not be a sheep and have your own thoughts? Again, it's terrible news and should be primarily for his family and friends. He didn't do what he did in football, business etc for the pleasure of others, or indeed to help others. He did it for himself and his family - and to an extent his club and national side. Frankly, if it was me, i'd want the everyone to leave my family to it.
  12. It’s really tragic, but so was the two people killed in the minibus crash the other week etc etc. which is forgotten the next day bar those closely affected. By no means am I belittling this event. Tragedy happens everywhere. Sometimes these things feel like a competition as to who can be seen to grieve the most.
  13. Rehit
  14. Couldn’t agree more. Some moments of comical Sunday league play at times too, although that really does a disservice to those who are involved in Sunday league football. Going has started to feel like an inconvenience which is something I hate to admit.
  15. Come down for a beer on 35 minutes. Just so dire.
  16. Shelvey to score as usual. Wouldn’t mind us buying him.
  17. Me likey. Amusing and factually correct.
  18. Should think the Nando's share price has sky rocketed on that news...
  19. Shiny
  20. pompom
  21. 0-3 was a perfectly fair result in my opinion, men v boys out there again and i'd rather see us have a proper go at these teams rather than be ineffective at keeping them out. Yes, we had some chances and good ones at that but Chelsea were given the time and space to cruise through this game.
  22. Blimey, Lawro tipping us to win this one.
  23. Different
  24. Never gives the ball away etc etc
