I always thought River Plate was his dream but I guess he suits Boca much better, if he steps out of line there he'll be lucky if the fans don't tear him apart they take it pretty seriously! The Boca stadium has coca cola labels in black and white round the top as the Fans would not accept the more traditional red and white, it's not often Coca Cola don't get there own way!

Target shouldn't be allowed to play even if he wants to.

Where is this forums like button, the only thing worse than an religious evangelist is an atheist evangelist!
-
Because when we loan him out we get a fee and/or they pay his wages saving us a fortune compared to paying up the remainder of his contract and one day river plate will offer us a fee so we can minimise the loss we inevitably take on him!
-
How have the club messed up? Corks contract is running out we have offered him a new one. Cork has asked for a guarantee of more first team football. Saints can't guarantee him this for obvious reasons. Cork has said he wants to leave to play football. FFS it really is that simple we want him as a squad player he wants to be a starter so has opted to move in search of that, hats off to the lad for wanting to play and I wish him all the best at Swansea. Really what more do people expect the club to do? Offer him way over the odds in the hope that he is convinced to stay for the cash? or lie about first team opportunities that simply don't exist?

The Long Overdue Pointless 2015/16 (Adidas) Kit Thread

I have an addidas river plate shirt it is lovely, not as nice as our umbro sash shirt but much better than our own brand tat so I'd take it in a heart beat! -
Cork out, striker/forward in probably on loan or a decent youngster.
-
Cassano has never been in Osvaldo's crazy league, risk free signing for 6 months of a proven international goal scorer we could do a lot worse!

Hooiveld to return and then head to Millwall?

Don't see any hatred in this thread, not sure where you made that up! Good luck to Jos I say was part of our rise and will always be remembered for being a hard working honest pro and a genuinely nice guy. -
Thee so close Ryan didn't even consult him before signing for us lol I don't want Cork to leave as he is a good squad player but can fully understand him wanting to be a first team regular elsewhere we are always slagging off players happy to pick up a paycheck at the big clubs without playing so we should all support Jack if he has decided to pursue game time over financial reward.
-
How about Cassano on a free until the end of the season? He's been in good form this season 6 goals for a bottom of the league side and could be the impact forward we need?
-
of course they don't everyone knows that penalties don't count at all and goals from corners or free kicks count for a half. It ruined David Bekhams career!
-
Classic English football fan, keeping the ball is always better than giving it to the opposition!
-
I think we are looking at a loan till the end of the season or a promising youngster, either of which I would be happy with we clearly need backup to Pelle but I don't want us clogging the side up with expensive jouney men just for the sake of it with Rodrogues and Gallagher on the way back and Seager hoping to break through.
-
he could, would be a pretty ****ish thing to do and you have o hope he has more respect for the club than that but it is a risk in modern football. Even if he does walk away for free he has been incredible value for money and a decent servant of the club during his time here.
-
Sums it up for me to, it's incredible to think that he is still so young yet seems to have been in the team for years now and I think we as a fanbase of a much higher expectation for his performance levels than we would for other players of a similar age! Not too keen on the article it's a bit heavy on the stats for my liking but that seems to be the current obsession in the world of football so I guess it's inevitable!
-
So bad he's an Italian international and has played for some of the biggest clubs in Italy? Pull the other one he is clearly a quality footballer sadly his head is a mess, one day he will realise he has blown the dream but it appears not yet. If he ever comes back we need a song about him being the white Ballotelli like Sheffield Wednesday used to sing about Gerald Sibon (Ironic: 'Kanu is the white Sibon' as Sibon was so oftn compared to Kanu)
-
we need cover in that position and an option if Clyne decides to cash in this summer and move on. Nothing worse than selling a player with no replacement in the squad as suddenly every right back in the world will be double the price!
-
Love the link between drinking and football, is being a saints fan really that unbearable that you can't manage it unless your half cut? do you find singing songs and cheering too embarrassing unless your beered up? If alcohol is a pre-requisite of enjoying something then the chances are it really isn't that good in the first place that's why people get beered up to go clubbing etc because sober it's dull as dishwater!
-
Who says they will accept those terms? Both are entitled to the remainder of their contracts should they want them, I can see Ramirez walking away as he is young and will pick up a club in Italy pretty easily but Osvaldo has burnt just about every bridge in football I fully expect him to see out his contract unless we get lucky and someone offers him the same cash elsewhere!
-
Transfer list for both of them, if nobody is willing to take them then loan them out to at least get the wages off the books and some loan fee's in the bank. Both were gambles we all knew that when they came in if they had worked out we would have had two fantastic players for comparatively little money sadly it's not worked out Ramirez isn't up to the premier league and Osvaldo is a total basket case.

Will be playing for River in Argentina within 12 months which I think is what he wants, such a waste of what is obviously a real talent.

This Elia has made a great start and looks focussed and committed but this has apparently happened before in his career. I really hope he keeps it up and we sign him as for the level of ability he is a bit of a bargain not many world cup finalists in their prime years available for the fee we have agreed. Remember Sagonowski if you want a reminder of how these things can go bad awesome on loan terrible when we signed him!

At the age of 7 I asked my parents for a saints shirt for Christmas (this was 1986 only highlight was an FA Cup semi) nobody knows why but I was insistent despite living in a small town in South Wales. The rest is as they say history!

read what he's said though, Kelvin could have gone and been West Hams reserve on I assume much more money than we were paying but unlike so many footballers he chose first team football in a lower division on less money. That's as good as a signing for me.
