I can't think of one, I wish people would get over this players left because of lack of ambition nonsense they have all gone for money at massive clubs no bull about aiming for the champions league would help!0

yet we still finished 8th with them as backups last year? Yes they aren't ideal but having them as backups isn't the end of the world both are better than Davenport and that Swedish lump we had in the relegation season. I'm sure the manager and the board would love to replace them both but it isn't going to be easy to find quality players who don't want to be first choice ideally we need an academy prospect to emerge and push his way up the pecking order but it's a very difficult position for a youngster to establish themselves.

Glen Hoddle was great for us didn't work out so well for him at his spiritual home! I do rate pochetino but spurs does seem to be a bit of a managerial grave yard these days I hope it works out for him and he bucks the recent trend!

Assuming you mean augustin Delgado he never had an ACL problem when with us it was a shot cartilage that he didn't let recover properly thus blowing his career.

He's a perfectly adequate 4th choice centre back for a mid table club there can't be many better players who would be willing to not even sit on the bench most weeks. I suspect he will be released at the end if his contract by which time hopefully one of the youngsters will be ready.

People think about this stuff way too much, he's gone let's move on and talk about players that are actually here.

You never know with those injuries until he plays on it and takes contact, he could also be screwed mentally which has happened to players after nasty injuries. I hope he does come back but any club that offers contracts or signs players who have not proved themselves following such a serious injury is for me taking a big risk.

Seems bonkers to me given his current injury surely it will be impossible for us to insure ourselves against the terms of this new deal so should he not recover we would land up paying out 50K a week for the next 5 years for a player who will never kick a ball again at the top level?

Jrod is going nowhere at least until he proves his recovery, I suspect the origional plan was to sort him with a new contract this summer but that won't happen as currently he may never play again. If he comes back scoring expect him to sign at Christmas.

I still find it odd he's never been given a premier league shot by anyone, his goal scoring record in the championship is excellent when he's been established at a club. He's a goal mouth poacher and a natural finisher so I think he'd get a few at the top level he just brings very little else to the table an English rasiac if you like and he never quite cut it at the top. The premiership is a huge step up for strikers you only have to look at people like nugent and earnshaw who have scored for fun in the championship and failed miserably at the next level.

I've not written him off yet but he really needs to start delivering some returns on the promise he has shown soon!

Put a smile on my face, nice to see a thread that isn't doom and gloom depression. Definitely a legend who now, past his best has been put out to pasture for a few easy years before he'd shipped off to the glue factory. Second only to Le Tiss for me in the Legends in my lifetime category.

Will be interesting to hear some feedback on the quality, I'm pleased the stripes are back but all our previous in house kits have been horrible material and finish if it's another one of those then I'm out and I feel sorry for the players who will have to wear it! Please can we have a real brand back next season it was nice to have quality kit for a few years.

Agree very disappointing if true, I think 8m is a lot for an unproven 29 year old so if he's not coming for that or less we should look elsewhere. Would rather we went for an up and coming player if we are gambling big bucks.

Until I read the story where he strongly denies threatening to go on strike and takes legal action against those newspapers perpetuating the story which surely he would do if he hadn't said it I'll not be putting him back on my Christmas card list.
