For me it's just a blip, he's tired and needs a break but we can't give him one, it must be a massive shock to the system going from the Dutch league to the premier league the games come thick and fast and the matches are played at a much higher intensity. For me that is why both Tadic and Pelle have gone off the boil a little bit I expect them to come back strong next season!

Slight word of caution never get too excited about the England under 21's David Prutton was regularly captain in his 25 appearances and look how that turned out! Still think JWP is quality and will go on to be a top draw player, I'm not sure he will ever be in the world class bracket but he will be a very good premier league midfielder and almost certainly rack up a few England caps along the way. This thread is yet another illustration of the stupidity of the average football fan, we are having our most successful season in 30 years and still people choose to ***** and moan rather than enjoying it! We are lucky enough to have the England under 21's captain in our midfield and just because he isn't Zidane like every week some fans feel the urge to slate him and basically write his career off. It's a bit like listening to talk sport most of the callers should be put out of their misery to improve the gene pool the same is probably true for half the fans in any football stadium or internet forum.

they will be bought of with some re-distribution of QPR's parachute payments or such nonsense it is in nobody's interest for it to end up in court. -

Not really bothered about the tone of the aritcles, what I would say is I guarantee 99% of Newcastle fans would swap owners with us and that for me sums up the situation. We are clearly in good committed hands and I for one hope she stays oner of the club for a very very long time. -

Sadly that is almost certain to be the outcome, the football authorities seemed to have lost the backbone that nailed leeds and luton to the wall and now all you have to do is ***** and moan a bit and they bend the rules. -
If Pelle goes to Barcelona I will eat my hat! Possibly the most laughable transfer rumour since the summer we wasted talking about Oliver Bierhoff coming to saints!

Rob Green for me QPR are doomed so he will be available and shouldn't cost the earth given his age probably 2 million tops. He is proven at this level and might well see us as an opportunity to establish himself at a top side and maybe re-ignite his international career. He would come in knowing he would start the season as number 1 so the jersey would be his to loose which I don't think any other top 6-7 side is going to do.

I have to agree I think more than any other player at the club Ryan is likely to be weary of moving to a big club, his past experience must tell him he is better off here!
-
Kane is the medias darling taking goals off him would prompt a backlash taking goals of two obscure saints players is childs play and justifies the existence of this pointless panel

Bad news if true, gives Kelvin Davies a final swansong that I don't think many including him thought he would! Hope any mistakes he makes don't cost us dearly as he's been a decent servant even in the dark days when he fell out massively with our fans at Sheffield Wednesday when we were stuffed and he spent the whole game diving over the ball. Doesn't really change much for the summer we needed a new number two and we still do I'm sure the club were always looking for someone with quality and this should make it easier to get someone in as they will get an immediate opportunity and if they do well who is to say Forster would get back in?

This a thousand times, saints fan's haven't had it this good in a long time and nobody knows what the future holds so everyone needs to enjoy it while it's here. Those moaning about a season in the Europa league need to remind themselves that my generation have only one memory of the saints in Europe and I for one didn't think we would have a hope of qualifying via league placing anytime soon when we were relegated!
-
Something is fundamentally wrong at arsenal there injury record is shocking Walcott Ox and Wiltshire look finished as far as fulfilling there potential is concerned!
-
If city don't win the league he is a shoe in and even if they do I would expect him to arrive. They are not looking anywhere else.
-
Thought we treated him like crap but no he's not good enough for us now.

"Johnstones Paint Trophy, you'll never win that....."

Classic premier league attitude focussing on some vague notion that youngsters would somehow be improved by this idea and ignoring the impact on the lower league players and sides who would loose out massively as a result. -

Terrible idea would totally ruin what is actually quite a good competition for lower league teams and gives players who would otherwise have no chance the opportunity of a cup final day out. I really enjoyed it when we were down there and will admit to being disappointed when we were knocked out second season as I quite liked the idea of defending it. As someone else said this would just turn it into a second rate league cup which is already contested by premier league reserve sides in front of tiny crowds. Hopefully the FA obsession with B teams will be replaced by something slightly less stupid and irritating soon. -
Liebherr, Krueger and Koeman taking Saints to Switzerland

I think you can when it's true! It's perfectly fare to say we have underperformed recently and anyone who denies it is mental but when you look at the season as a whole I'd say we are still performing above expectation only the final league position will let us know if we have underperformed for the season although I'd say we did in both cups given the way we excited them both! -
I remember being chuffed when we got Prutton he looked a real prospect and at the start of his time at saints was putting in some solid displays then it all went wrong with that red card his career which had been on the up continuously to that point quickly reversed. I was so disappointed with him in the championship much like Oakley I expected his quality to shine through and for him to boss games which sadly never happened. Rest is history I've seen him out in a couple of decent performances for Sheffield Wednesday and he was still clapping the crowd and shooting wildly from distance!

Did Darren Bent proven premier league goal scorer go on loan to Derby in the transfer window?
-
Exactly Pelle's problem is he's knackered and low on confidence but we can't rest him as we have literally no other goal scorers at the club!
-
Quality player and our best free signing by miles! Was gutted when he left and stunned when he passed away. RIP
-
It will go in cycles there will be plenty of years when we only have one or possibly no players of interest to the big boys while at times like last summer and this one we will have a collection hopefully we will be able to maintain a decent standard throughout and maybe one day win a cup!

Less than 20 million we should just say 'no' it's simply not worth selling such an important player for peanuts Less than 30 million and we should seriously consider rejecting it but probably accept it as we don't want a ****ed off player on the books and we can probably pick up a couple of up and coming players a potential replacements? Over 30 million we should say 'yes'
