    Les Reed

wasn't it also put some weeks ago that a fan saw Ralph in a petrol station or the like and stated that MP was our best ever manager?
  2. Like fighting a war lol. I bet you haven't been near a war.
  3. Fair point and I want that, but it has changed dramatically in the last 5-10 years. I don't support Saints because we are PL anyway, frankly I would have been a Saints fan had we been Division 4 when I first started going in 68. I have seen what it has done to me on a Saturday night like yesterday and after the Newcastle game. It is a disease as I believe it became too important to me in my formative years. Had I started going when I was 20 or something it would be easier to take
  4. Mine yes, but my grand-daughter was not born there.
  5. It would have appalled me 20 years ago. I would have frowned upon it as a case of disloyalty to our city. Now football is so detached from the people, I can accept it. My daughter said that my grand-daughter said similar to your grandson, and said she might support Man City as her first team. She is on holiday in Italy and was watching Soccer Saturday..a 6 year old. Do they really need the disappointments Saints bring. Her hero is Ryan, but why get a shirt with his name on because you know he will be gone as soon as anyone is in for him. Kids just cant have a hero as they up and go
  6. Why put them through it though. We as grandparents know the hurt , its like telling them its ok to put their finger in a light socket. Perhaps its me , but last night I was in such a foul mood, something Im not normally, all over Saints. If she ends up supporting a top team I will not worry. I engrained Saints on my daughters and they have to live with it, another mistake in my parenthood
  7. true, they may have their own agenda who they want to sign
  8. All the angst that Saints have given me, and the ruined weekends, is it right to encourage the disease to our grand children. Let them support Man U or Man city, at least they wont go through what we go through. Afterall it is a business, owned by Chinese/Swiss not the club that really represented my home city that I was so proud of as I grew up
  9. Having a rookie centre half on 48k a week seems to take the fight out. Life is too comfy, why risk breaking your leg in a tackle when you are made for life. Listening to the radio the other night when a player who knew about MP's training said that fitness was not what he was interested in , it would be all technical stuff. We are unfit and don't seem to have players with fight. Fans seem t think PEH is better than Romeu and Davis which seems odd to me. Tadic and Boufal are showboaters and our forwards are profligate. Tough times, and Reeds arrogance that he is some coaching god has come home to roost. I have said all along the black box can spew out as much info as it likes, but it is who is assessing that makes the difference
  10. seems a good idea
  11. its free on a sunday and so I think you can go in further than that
  12. good post
  13. I notice you have the guild of master craftsmen as your avatar, what trade are you in to display that????
  14. I hope it goes well
  15. that is the attitude that Les and co love. Thankful for having to pay top whack so that they can sell any star we get. As for Kat and Marcus, it strikes me they are not from the same cloth. I remember being in a corporate box and Marcus standing in the corridor by himself watching the fans being happy. He would stand there leaning on his stick lapping up the joy he was giving us. Kat I think was too busy licking the plate to come out and see
  16. you said you are in Disneyland, it might not only there that you are in fantasy land. Brainwasjhing by Reed would be the case, and yes had we pushed on then we could have done what Leicester did. But many were just happy with the Trust in Les chant.
  17. We wouldn’t be where we are now. I am sore because Saints have been a major part of my life , sadly and the fans who made it difficult for club to keep him on, made his position untenable. I am at home tonight and feeling pretty wound up and angry that we are where we are. Had Puel been given a bit more time to mound his team we would have moved forward. 8 th probably not but better than the total cok up we have at present. If someone had said 15 months ago Hughes would have been our manager they would have laughed at it. I hope he is a success but it is not a step forward. Anyway I’m in a foul mood and so accept my posting due to frustration.
  18. Anyone but Puel eh. We didn’t realise we had it so good, and now it is patently obvious the problem was not the manager but the people behind him choosing the incomers. Stevie Wonder must have taken charge of the black box.
  19. Not the fans, the WH luvvies in the media.
  20. he's made plenty out of our club. He can retire and have a lovely time supporting his favourite team
  21. it is scary, a throwback to last time.
  22. Its annoying knowing that all the WHU media types will be smug as fuk.
  23. Where are all the In Les we trust posters on here lol
  24. there were loads on here who were calling for it, they wont own up now of course.
