my viewpoint from watching it on TV is that their first goal is down to our keeper, not a flick 90 yards from goal. The ref in the main was correct although his big mistake was over ruling the lino. Nothing like shooting for the stars! It seems bizarre that we as fans are happy for such mediocrity. If just above mid-table whets the appetite then fine, but having decades in the top flight and 1 trophy of note is not what gets me excited. I don't want Saints to follow others down the overspend route but many of the clubs around us are getting stadiums that are double ours, that will bring extra income and in turn a better chance of competing with the very best. Staying at Spurs is far more likely than if at us , as he knows the cream of the squad will not be sold every summer. He can build, he may lose the odd superstar but not anything that moves if a great offer comes in
