I hope Bart's injury is not as it seems. If KD gets injured we are well in the mire

Why is the government always to blame? Whilst if it is dangerous, these people go to these jobs for big wages and when it goes a bit pear shaped they whine and blame the government for not getting them out. They would have known over a week ago that things were getting heated and should have moved their arses then and taken personal responsibilty.

IMO the club have not used the loan/transfer window very well. There could be varying reasons why of course, ML will still to be agreed, NC not prepared to loosen the purse strings, NA happy with the squad but we really should have got a couple more in. I dont count players on the books not being sold or agreeing new contracts as a signing, and still feel we should have cashed in on OX and bought a couple of players who would make the difference. Whether these things are a criticism of NA and his ideas I'll leave for others to decide.

that could be a play on words

Bournemouth trying to get Simon Cox on loan.....

has their embargo been lifted then? -
LM was IMO the greatest ever Saints manager and i was privilaged to watch Saints whilst he was in charge. Post his management i believe he rarely covered himself in glory, but i can't help enjoy watching his interviews as he sparkles. I still smart how he left us for Sunderland, and i lost so much respect for him then, and now the politics is another constant nag. If i had my way a stand or suite would be named after him and he would be welcome at the club, but i won't stand for him sniping away at the football club as that is bigger than any person who has ever represented us. PS My father would have said Ted Bates was our best manager as he loved Charlie Wayman and Terry Paine and saw us go up the leagues. I suspect many of the young fans feel WGS was a great manager for us. History is important but it is hre and now that regenerates the fans of tomorrow and so these next few weeks months and years are going to be oh so important.

you are up on the stats, i dont get into those much. To me we seem to be going backwards and have played more at home than away, so that has an impact. Antonio scored quite a few goals for us and his pace and power won us games. Ox is going to be a good player, but it is too much to expecth im to pull us over the line. i would take Antonio in front ogf the new 2 in a heartbeat -
yeah but i think you had a problem with him early doors, i could be wrong though

I agree for too long we have had the odd stand out player that papers over the cracks of the rest. Bournemouth and BHA have a TEAM we have players like OX AL RL who have to be on top form to pull the others through. The media attention on OX has not helped us concentrate on winning games and it is draining having all the speculation. Norwich went up with a team, not stand out players, we seem to need a fix of having a 'Star' when all i want is to have a team that plays consistantly well and gets us back up at least 1 division -

i have never really been on NA's bus. I wanted Howe and still think he was the man for the job. NA has not used the transfer/loan window to any effect. Many on here have a blind faith that we are a good side, I have not seen that for quite some games now. We got to 2nd and then should have pushed on but no we let it slip and the gap is getting bigger not smaller. We do not have the firepower to win at games like Hartlepool as we did last season. I have not seen the team set up but i think neither of his signings (Forte Nguessan) played, that says something about NA's judgement. Iam one of the few who would have sold Ox, and used that money to get a player like Antonio back who has a true effect on the game. Ox is too young to have the expectation on his shoulders and it is unfair on him to expect him to help pull us up. IMO top 6 is the best our squad will achieve, depressing but i will cheer them on and hope i have got it wrong about NA and can hop on the bus with egg on my face -
i didnt think to look on the Arts forum, sorry. I saw another Forum member there last night as well. So that makes 3. We went with our friends (he sadly has MS and was wheelchair bound) and all had a great fun night.

she interacted really well with the audience and the laughter was constant. 2 sets of 45 minutes

Went and watched her in Salisbury last night, a very amusing show. Women comediennes normally are poor, not in this case

tonight there is a Special report on Pompey on SSN at 7.30pm. Reading the little i have on the programme it may be sick bag time. it appears that there is interviews with Chanrai etc telling us how difficult it has been for them in the last year.I do wonder if there is any mention of signing 20k PW players.

i think you are taking Genevas comment a little far. We do worry more about success and dont care about the politics when the club is doing well. Not many Swing Lowes at cardiff and when the stadium was opened. NC is not fireproof ,and the man who is very intelligent will know there is only so far he can push the fan base. I know many wont like this stance but i dont give a flying f### if we get back to the PL as i wont wish to pay 50-60 x 2 to watch Bolton Wigan or blackburn. Ps i am pleased if LM does indeed offer the olive branch and it would be the sign of a true legend if he buried the hatchett

Lol, you should be on the stage........do they use the guillotine anymore?

not a hope of them being the same

Thanks for the clarification Steve. SRS has issues with the club and this site it seems, what has the Saintweb to gain from playing the match?

Putting the local government job "cuts" into perspective

to a degree Dune is correct, the public sector should be working to save the nations taxpayers money as well as providing a service. I doubt you will be able to get hold of any senior officer after 3.30 today in a lot of council departments. My experience of trying to contact planning officers or the like on a friday afternoon is nye impossible over the years. i dont wish to see anyone lose a job, but i also resent the way the council tax goes up and up rather than efficiencies made. -
Im sure you are right but if they are getting to due diligence they have spent a bit of money to get there. It seems mad that they are even thinking of going through that when a cursory glance should show they are buying nothing.

Perhaps the Bates family might not want a low key kick about to be used in the great mans name. Should we not consider how from playing bayern Munich to a game between two forum teams on the Common may just demean the man?
