I have to agree with Daren here: "You always play two up top, it gives us the best chance to win, but it doesn't against Southampton." s****** s****** [/i] "Their strength lies in midfield and their service to Lambert so if we drop a forward & put one more in midfield we can benefit." Oh yes lordy lordy "If you can break down Southampton's midfield and stop them passing the ball around you can defeat them, but it won't be easy for us on Tuesday." These are my tactics, write then down Nigel, (laughs up sleeve) On Match Day, "Here's my team sheet, 4-4-2. I'm sorry Nige, were you expecting 4-5-1? I suppose you coiuld change things 'alf time." He he he. It's doesn't help me that not only dooes my boss support WHU, he looks like Sam Allerdice, (which helped me get laid once on a business trip to Cyprus, where I pretended to be the hooker Steve Thompson, with some overweight bimbo claiming to be an ex pop star). So win or lose, I lose. But we'll win 3-1. And i'm putting money on that.

Lambert proves, with a little help from Nigel, he can a-n-a-l-l-y intrude around corners.

Could Rickie play for England?
Secret Site Agent replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
Yes, I believe that Richard Lambert should play for the England team. I believe he would work his testicle off, would score 3 goals, (One from distance, one with his head and one from the free kick), and would be dropped for Crouch as it is embarrasing that he is able to show them up. And stick Adam Lallana on the wing, and Kelv in goal. And stick it up them. Here is a question. In cup games against 'weaker' teams, most clubs field a second eleven, if you will. How about the next time we play, say, Tonga, or Belgium, or Micronesia, we have the england team consisting of Championship players? Good Idea, or shall I get my coat? -
Could Rickie play for England?
Secret Site Agent replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
OH, NO. Here i go on my Soap Box. I agree with the above Whole Heartedly. They would play their ******** off and would probably succeed where Rooney, Lampart et al would fail. I would prefer to see a team full of youngsters, and/or Championship players, who play their hearts out, full of pride for playing for the National team, rather than the bunch of over paid, over hyped prima donnas we have now. They can't be ar sed to play for the National team, drop them. They'll soon appear in the Sun and the Mirror winging about not being picked. The team for all upcoming international games will include Rooney, Gerrard, Terry, Fedinand, Lennon etc for the only reason that they are always picked and it seems to be a contract requirement of the England manager to pick them, rather than those players that show Pride, Heart, Character and Drive to succeed on the international stage, who see it as an honour to wear the England badge, rather than their right. And if they don't sing the national anthem, stick them on the bench until they hear the word ringing in their ears, and the occasion thumbing in their hearts, and for Rooney, get him the words on tape and in a 'Dot to Dot' book so he knows them as well. I am mightily sick with the bunch of no mark tossers on a million pounds a week who squander the chance of doing something for the fans who pay their wages, either by attending the games, or suscribing to Sky. That buch of ar ses that lost in the Rugby against France on Saturday at least looked like they were suicidal and they were pained by loosing, and big Martin Johnson looked like he was going to cry. A big nancy you may think, but at least it shows some emotion. I don't think the Football team even care if they win or not. Who here thinks that Rooney got sent off for fustrution during the game, or was it because his old man got caught out in the betting sting? And another thing. How about if they extended the punishment for a Red card to two games for their club as well as on the international stage? Punich the club as well for them embarassing their country on live national television, and in front of thousands of fans, and being a bad role model to thousands of kids up and down the country. You've started me off now. -
I think we are missing the one factor he has going for him. He and Sepp Blatter speak the same language. He'll be the best England manager that money can buy.

Property Article with Benali in today's MoS
Secret Site Agent replied to adysaint's topic in The Saints
If his experience of Morris Dibben is the same as mine, he'll have 80 through the door a week, of which: 40 could never afford it, and are being forced to llok at it as they are looking at a property in the vicinity, 10 will want some kind of change to the kitchen/living room/bedroom/bathroom, before they will consider it, 5 will be Polish who will make an offer for the asking price and then back out at the last minute as 'You dont use timber in upstairs flooring, the concrete floor is breaking up' 8 will make an offer 20 % below asking price as 'that's all it's worth' 6 will make an offer then will not be able to get the mortgage 4 will back out as their mortgage company employs some idiot of a surveyor who mistakes the construction for a different type 7 will be wanting to convert it into flats for students, so will try and bully him into selling cheaply within the next week. And after that, he'll go through about 6 others before finally selling. -
Cortese out to sink the Ex-Saints Charity?
Secret Site Agent replied to docker-p's topic in The Saints
Wow, I predicted at least a week would go by before a counter argument against Cortese appeared. I thought it would be the Stelling one, but no, here it is after two days. So we have a rant from someone who had his season ticket refunded (alledgedly) with a rant based on nothing but hearsay and inuendo, following a glowing bunch of toss in a daily rag, who used to hate NC but don't any more, after he has a dig at free loaders who peope ASSUME must be Matty and Lawrie, and the rant on National TV of another individual who made ASSUMPTIONS. And boh of the Media outlets owned by the same man. Total and utter garbage. -

Converted, or influenced, my Daughter at 7 by taken her. The whole atmosphere and the 'Pie and a pint' (of Hot chocolate and sausage Roll) was an experience for her. She still speaks now about never seeing so many people in one place all singing together, going on the pitch at the last game of the season, how friendly everyone was and when she lost her scarf, she was crying on the walk back to the car and when we were asked, by total strangers what was the matter, she was given three scarfs and a top. By fellow saints fans. She has converted a couple of her friends and a few have come with us, and she regularly argues wiuth the boys at her school about being glory hunters. She even questioned her Teacher about giving loyalty to your local team, and not to look for success,'.....by always following the winners. If you do that, then you will always be changing who you support, and you miss out on the feeling of winning when he have been losing for a while, and the winning when your not supposed to.' My lad was a bit of a Manure fan until i got him on the straight and norrow and back to Saints. He only followed Manure because all his friend did, and saints were crap. I'm working on the Construction industry as we speak, I have a few Brighton, Some Skates, Leyton Orient, Manure and Liverpool, Hartlepool, S****horpe, Liverpool, Tranmere and Port Vale. I'll let you know how I succeed. I can always sack them, but being in Tunbridge Wells, they are a bit more difficult to replace.

Saints 4 Birmingham 1 - Reactions Thread
Secret Site Agent replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Well, they have to invent a new type of pink for the way I am tickled at the moment. I must confess that I have a little faith and understanding in what NA had done with his signings......But still would have liked a forward, but understand it has to be a certain someone of a certain type, not just anyone. Impressed with most of the team so far, AL has come on leaps and bounds, Rickie doing well, Old Man Conelly seems to have got a second wind, Kelv the super goalie, Danny Fox, Morgan, Hammond who has impressed. The whole team seems to have gone up a gear and has improved. The only one I am questioning at the mo is Hooiveld. As someone who listens to a lot of games as well as attending them, he seems to have been quite anonymous so far. Can't remember him getting a mention. Still, in NA we trust and i'm sure him and Steve De Ridder will only improve. Did I mention I am tickled pink? -
Just Listening to the Leicester v Brighton game and the fans follow up, etc. One comment is that they lost to only one goal so it proves they are a better team than us as we let in 3 goals. BUT, we did score two past them. Can't personally see the correleation, but which theory do you think has legs? Taking this a bit further, which is the decideder if not the above? Who finishes higher? Who beats who in a head-to-head? Are Leicester the bench mark team? Or should it be Middlesborough? Am I bored with no football today?Should I just carry on replacing the floorboards in my toilet and shut the fark up? Red or Black, You decide.

Does anyone have a phone number for the people who run Saintsplayer? I have got a 6 month voucher as a birthday present and I have paid through paypal but no voucher has been sent. The Birthday is on Tuesday and they seem to be either ignoring my e-mails, or very incompetant. Or both. Many thanks.

Stupidest thing anyone has ever said
Secret Site Agent replied to Crazy Diamond's topic in The Muppet Show
At uni, my regular Squeeze was reading the paper when she said to me, 'What's a mowpd?' I said ' Eh, what do you mean?' and she says to me 'here in the paper - MOWPD For sale' It said Moped. They teach em well at Rodean. I was at a Public meeting for the works to the A31, and someone asked when we were doing the work. I said mostly at night. He said angrily why couldn't we do it at a time when peopel wouldn't be using the road instad, like when they were asleep. When they first came in, a Highways Agency Traffic Officer instructed me to move one of those metal barriers you see during roadworks, as it was causing 'conjunction'. -

Yes like this; NW: Listen here, Nicol Arse, you're gonna give us 3.5 million, now you sold Oxy, and Punchbag for free. You can pay the agent 200k as well. THAT is how it's always been done, and you're do it. NC: Sorry, that is bad business. Fargov. We leave now. Oh, yes. He knows better how football transfers go. But not how to do business, i think.

I have been reading Alan Sugers Autobiography and have read about his time at Spurs. He makes reference to the Old Boys Club, dodgy dealings, sweeties being offered, money in drawers etc and the way that, in a business, they all behaved in a non-business way and it confounded him. Being as his background is not one of the old traditionalists, i.e. the superfans with money, I can only assume that Cortese is the same. It's not to give whats asked for ther player, plus a bit for the agent, plus the inflated price because we have just sold Walcott, (I know it was Chamberlain, but I put this in as support for Manji and this is what he maent). Cortese is no fool to be ripped off with overblown assesments based on the fact we have a few quid. How would you feel if you went to SMS and they said: 'Right, the price for a ticket is: unemployed £10.00, Student £15.00, Labour and service industry £ 20.00, Tradesman £ 30.00, Middle management £ 45.00, Upper Management live in the centre of town, Another £40.00, Shirley to Sholing Another £ 30.00, To southampton border Another £25.00, Eastleigh another £20.00 Outside Eastleigh, Nothing.' ****, I think i've given out the business model for ticketing next season.

I think Parker Merchanting in Totton do a printing service on Hi-Viz, Greenhams next to the ground do one as well. Mostly for companies but could probably do one for a price.

And another thing. I don't believe he goes out and looks at a player and says 'He's great at this leve. Just buy him.' I believe he comes up with some targets, a fair view are gievn to him, then they look at the ancillaries, 'Is he a mercenary just after the money, will he use us as a spring board to get into another team, is he settled, has he got a temper on him, is he level headed, can he work alongside xx,yy and zz, will he compliment them..........' . Once they have a full view of if he will compliment the team rather than disrupt it, then the push is on. Some will fit the mold, but wont like the way things are, some will want things we are ready to give them, so are advised by agents who like to give them detrimental advice because they want to screw us. We or they walk away, no hard feelings, like a couple who had been on a few dates, they fancied each other in the beginning, but she don't like his friends, or he don't like her family, She don't like his sense of humour, he can't stand her politics, She don't like that he wants to go to 'bum island', he don't like that she wont let him go to 'bum island'. So they part on fair terms, and so they look elsewhere. Don't you find it strange that a team like us and Brighton, with almost the same team from a lower league, are doing well, and yet West Ham and Liecester are a little behind, at the start of the season. Perhaps it's just beginners luck. Or their total dominance will start Saturday.

At the moment we have a winning team, one that has learned to work with each other, where they know each others strengths and weakness and what makes each other tick. Replace that with 11 strangers who know nothing about each other????????? No, Nigel knows that he has a winning team, stength in depth, cover where we need it, and is looking to strengthen areas, not the spend millions on players and you're bound to win methodology. After all, we spent seven million doing this and we did very well. Oh, hang on, we didn't.

I have just appealed against CP Plus for being parked in Cherwell Services for 9 hours when I visited there on my way to Birmingham and on my way home. In between I gave a presentation and won an Environmental Award and could have 250 eye witness statements to prove I wasn't parked there. I have appealed and am awaiting their answer, (only sent it on Monday). I beleive they are cowboy ****s trying to rip us off. Just to give you all another update. As they wanted a break down of costs, I issued an invoice for preparation of information refuting their invoice and billed them for £207.00, for which I included the costs of preparing a break down. Last Monday at 9.07 am I recieved a letter from them refusing to pay and stating that they do not have to meet an invoiced claim as it is down to me and at my expense to refute the claim. At 12.22 pm I issued a letter to them telling them I was issuing legal action against them for non-payment. Yesterday I filled in a form N1 for the small claims court and sent them a copy asking for payment in full plus additional costs. Watch this space.

I was listening to the groaning of the Ipswich 'taters when they scored the first one, and switched over just in time for the second to go in. So I take full responsibility. If I had kept with Dave 'What we don't want to do now, Laurence' Merrington, we would have won 5-0. Mea Culpa.
