  2. But you have to admit that both victims here succeeded in doing what the justice system couldn't. They wont re-offend. They are no longer a menace to society.
  3. I'm more concerned with the Hollywood remake. 'The great and heroic story of how Lootenant Colonel Gus Gibbons, of the 97th Bomb Group, United States Army Air Force takes the war to the Krauts with the new invention from Barney Wallis, the New York Bouncing Bomb. Starring Ben Affleck as Lootenant Colonel Gus Gibbons Matt Damon as Lootenant Trent Ronkowski Samual L Jackson as General Anton Franklin Washington Harrison III Chris Rock as the voice of Migger rigger trigger s****** gigger Alan Rickman as Geobbles Tim Piggot-Smith as Georing John Hurt as Hitler Ralph Fiennes as VolderHimmler Kenneth Branagh as Adolf Eichmann Sorry. Still got hangovers from the film U571, and with a Great Uncle on HMS Bulldog, it upset me slightly.
  4. No because you have made an offer and there was acceptance. However if you knew the two were inside or you put them inside, then that is theft.
  5. I am reminded of the time when Hansen said that 'You Can't Win Anything With KIDS' and Manure went and proved him wrong. Let us not forget we have many a youngster that we have developed who have become very good over time. This si the way that we are going now. We don't have to sell any more to survive, and do we really want to take the risk of getting 11 mercenaries, (let's not forget Puncheon) who only want to play for the wage packet and we fail, well they'll just leave, reather than a team who want us to succeed? Invest in the future is more key than trying to buy success.
  6. I'd like to SEE Karen Brady. If you know what I mean. And i'd ask her if Lord Sugars firing finger smells of fish!
  7. Well put, AP. We never know the motivations, pressures, restrictions etc behind someones decisions, and we only see what decisions we would make from the confort and safety of the knowledge that we don't have to make them and deal with the consequences. I personally believe that NC dos his business in a more structured way. It wouldn't surprise me if he has a 'Risk Matrix' somewhere to assist in his decisions, with lots of flow charts and predictions and SMART goals, rather than gut instinct and cheapness. There is a marked difference between cost and value.
  8. ****, I though I was playing football manager and have made a couple of offers. Still, always room on the drainage gang. After all, 'down the drain' and all that.:lol
  9. I once more find myself agreeing with Phil, except after this weekend I don't think I could stand the 'Play Off' Lottery.
  10. I think the plan was to reach the Championship in two years Consolidate in year three Promotion in year four Build in year five to avoid relegation and achieve a safe mid table position. Then the next five year plan. Which would involve Europe I think and a challenger to the top 4. Would take a LOT of investment in the next five years, but building us into a Globel brank wouldn't help. As I am sure there are plenty around the world who are ****ed off with the top four. And whilst we are on it, I had a dream about that secene at the beginning of 'The Damned United' where Cloughie meets Don Revie, but in this one it's Nigel and Alex Furgeson, and ALex refusing to shake Niges hand, and Nigel turns to him and says 'Just because we are a bigger club, don't be too jealous' and walks away. There was also a scene with a Ballet dancer and a man dressed as a bottle of Champagne, but that is a little hazy.
  11. I like where you are coming from. I also believe that we can do better than those coming down from the prem as we have a winning team, high on the chase and success that brought, so there is some humility there, where as down from the Prem are teams that have failed and don't wish to be in the Championship, as we have winessed in our decline.
  12. I agree and have said so previously. There aren't many ITK any more as Cortese likes to keep the control of information and know how to do it. The first we'll know about him leaving is when it is reported on the OS. Most of the crap you see in the papers come from 3rd parties with an agenda, like agents who like to up the price or contract value for their clients. Besides, why would he want to go anywhere? Just to sit on the bench? Isn't it better to be out playing and scoring? He'll stay, just because he can. And Cortese will keep him, just to spite the rest of the Prem.
  13. Now I believe that he is just speaking his mind and from a position of 'been there, done that, there is an awful lot more that you don't realise about storage, transportation, deployment etc that you don't realise boys.' so is offering a helpful opinion, and is also after a lot of our hearts about also somrthing more permenant and tangible as a celebration of Markus and his saving of the club. Unfortunatly he hasn't put it as succinct as that, and in this respect it would be easy for anyone, (includidng the lolcal press) to pick up the statement 'Saints Trust and SISA condemns ill thought out flag option'. God knows I agree with him.
  14. A slag i think is what I am aluding too.
  15. My nipper was out on Monday night and scored with a 'young lady of dubious morals' by saying he was Dan Harding, (he looks more like Aaron from Emmerdale) and her friend googled him on her Iphone. As the picture didn't look nothing like him he said, 'No, you stupid woman, I told you i'm Dean Hammond, not Dan Harding'. And he managed to get away with it as well. I was also taken aback at some of the pictures on HIS phone, that I could only shake my head at as I looked at them, in close minute detail, tutting under my breath, before his mother made him delete them. And he confirms the Forte story as well.
  16. As it says on the box, what should we aim for in the Championship? Should we look to avoid relegation, and consolidate for a push the next season? Should we aim for Mid -table and once again consolidate for a push the next season to the Prem? Or Should we aim for the Top Ten, with a chance of a play off place? Or Go for the play-offs? Automatic Promotion? Or win the Thing? Should we look to buy in a few players? Or lots? Or look to buy our way back to the Premiership? My own personal preference is to add in a few lacking areas, but build on the team we have a push for a play off place. I don't want lots of new faces, as we will go from a team, to eleven individuals. i would like our purchases to be specific but good quality and, if needed, quite expensive buys. A new striker is a must, as is a new CB to play next to Fonte, and maybe a pacey RB/WB. I think the Midfield is OK, with Adam and Spiderman remaining fit as I think them being out like they were this year would cause us problems. A new winger perhaps. And we should look to move a few on as well. Over to you.
  17. I had that one, but I remember the second half where we score 16 and win 16-2. I recall saying to catwoman and Commander Harmon Rabb, in the next seats, that..'It's nice that we gave a chance to the reserves, like Holder - Spooner, Tony Garrod, Racine, Callum McNish, Gene Hunt, Uncle Jessie, Mr Lakhani from the papershot, Shadwell my Director, and the weird kid from the Cadburies advert with the eyebrows.@ That then followed by a green Gus Poyet coming over the big screen and saying that for him and his team its was...'Time to play the music, it's time to light the lights, it's to meet the MU.... Brighton Team on the show tonight. Then I woke up. I didn't know where I was Or how I got there Or who that was next to me Or why they were dressed like a clown And why I was wearing nothing but a sailors outfit. And then I remembered. I work in Bexhill, near Brighton. With a bunch of Skate bastards.
  18. For me it would be Hudders as they are the most deserving and we could have been in their position, so I would like to think,'There but for the grace of God..........' But this holds true for Brighton as well. I would like to see Bournemouth as the South coast plenty of derbies and local games to attend beats travelling many many miles. P'boro no way, as I don't like Fergie junior, like most. Franchise Meh.
  19. I just watched the highlights on Iplayer, both the South Today and the Late Kick-off. I preferred the The South Today Highlights with the Solent Radio commentary. Emotional, Feeling and not flat light the Late Kickoff, and the soundtrack from the Delays. Wonderful.
  20. I have just started a couple of new contracts after an 11 day break. One is in Bexhill with 20 Brighton supporting subbies. The other is in Bognor Regis with 11 Pompey supporting subbies. I have worked in Dagenham and Wick Road in Hackney, Near Leyton all this year. I was looking forward to getting out of this league but I'm surrounded by them. I think i'll just put 'Scummer' on my hat and have done with it. Mind you, it seems that the chant of 'Champions' at Bexhill soon disappears under the 'But you never beat us, and that is the mark of who has the best team, surley' retort.
  21. Who are the arrogant ones? Who is the arrogant loud mouth manager? I think they have labled us wrongly and it's Brighton who are displaying all these traits.
  22. I suggested this at his funeral thread and was shot down by so many, (you know who you are). So yes, I agree a Statue would be a good thing. Without Marcus, we would either have no team, or some tin pot owners. We could have been in the same boat as Pumpey. So lets at least identify the man who made this all a possibility for us until he went to the big boardroom in the sky.
  23. Fantastic. Are we human, or are we dancers? Dancers today. And the final view of Marcus. I haven't been this moved in a long time.
  24. Congratulations to the team, the backroom staff, Mr Adkins and his bus, and to everyone on here. Simple as that.
  25. No, I have a better idea. Lets get a group of us together, put on some Brighton shirts and invade the Notts County pitch. Worth a try to get them deducted a few points? I am of course dreaming and deserve to be shot with a ball of my own ****e.
