Season ticket renewals - announced 10 April
ErwinK1961 replied to whiteleySaint30's topic in The Saints
The £399 season ticket looks to me like a concerted effort by the club to get themselves down the table of 'cheapest available season tickets' - where I'm sure it was Spurs, Arsenal, Chelsea & Liverpool that were the only clubs ahead of us. As for £22 discount... just over £1 a game... cheers for that. -
Good luck to him, can't see him being a regular their - Richarlison, Walcott, Bernard, Lookman, Calvert Lewin, all vying for similar positions. Or we could just take Lookman off their hands instead..
-
Chelsea players going through the motions, playing like they want Sarri getting the sack. Bunch of weapons
-
Henderson off injured tonight, so you never know... though he might try and call up another full back instead as we look a bit light there.
-
Hopefully means we do have a get out in the deal, though don’t think we’ll be that lucky. Very reluctant to part with £20m on someone who doesn’t stay fit for more than a handful of games.

Brilliant save by Gunn at 0-1
-
Kane looked very offside at the time from where were sat (block 5), not that the linesman was up with play anyway
-
Jesus, give it a rest FFS.

You forgot to mention Deadwood. That’s his favourite word right now. -
Going to be a horrible, niggly, tight, nervy game - exactly the sort of game we've struggled in at home over the last 2 and a half years. Can't see us winning it.

Standard. Didn’t expect anything else. A lot of talk about the summer and how that’ll be the time there will be a major shake up. But the likes of Hoedt, Forster, Carrillo, Austin, Cedric etc will all still be on high wages and will still be just as difficult to shift in the summer as they are now. I think they’ll just end up being loaned out again. If we’re really in a place where we have to sell to boost the transfer budget, because the owner won’t invest, then the summer could be just as underwhelming. Especially when £20m of whatever budget we have is already been committed to Ings.

Yes I'm very aware, which makes it even more of a waste of time article.

Not sure why this is a story to be honest... Leeds are never going to sell him now and quite rightly so. If (which looks likely) they get promoted, his value will skyrocket anyway, plus if you were him why would you want to leave now. Smacks of filling column inches, in a period where there is little to no transfer activity going on.

How come this is a sticky?

Perhaps he shares the same Dominoes diet that Luke Shaw enjoyed between training sessions.
-
Doesn't sound ideal that he's still feeling pain after surgery...

Scored a belting goal at Stoke earlier this season if I remember rightly

Weekend’s other games - Wagner leaves Huddersfield

Thought Everton looked quite average to be honest, considering the money they’ve spent. Tried to throw it away at the end, Bournemouth just didn’t have the quality to score. -
Apparently bought Ballotelli to Nice

£6-£8m? Gunn cost us £12m and he hadn't played a premier league game. Ward at Leicester was Liverpool's third choice with no premier league experience and cost £12m, so absolutely no way McCarthy is £6-8m. I agree with Tajjuk - £15m-£20m is probably market value for an English GK who has broken into the England squad. The issue being though; 1) I can't see who would sign him. 2) If there was a club that wanted another GK (top 6 back up?), I'd imagine they would have higher priority areas to spend that sort of money on. 3) Clubs will know we're probably desperate for the cash and won't pay our asking price.

It's a shame as we'll probably never know on a few of them - the likes of Sims, Hesketh, Reed, Gallagher were largely ignored over the last few years. Would have been interesting to see how well they would have developed if given a chance and be trusted like Ralph seems to have given the newer crop. You're right though - it's probably too late for some of them and we'll end of having to sell them on to free up squad space.

No chance. A regular at RB Leipzig with Champions League aspirations won't be joining a poor Prem team who have a good chance of being relegated.
