  1. Seems to have VVds protective boot on too
  2. Looks like they are signing Robertson from Hull. With Mendy looking like he's off to City, plus the fact they retained Kolarov, are Ryan's options getting slimmer? I know Chalet mentioned Spurs, but can't see them buying unless they shift one on. Guess that leaves Chelsea, and the Alex Sandro deal has gone very quiet.
  3. I'd ignore him mate, he's still bitter that we sold his man crush in January.
  4. He still would have picked Spurs.
  5. Mendy, Kolarov and Bertrand would seem a tad excessive. I'd say Right Back would be a more pressing issue for them, seeing as they released Sagna and Zabaleta and lost out on Alves.
  6. And how do you propose we do a deal with a team that doesn't want to meet our valuation of the player? And isn't one of the criticisms of the board that they sell too early and too cheaply in the window?
  7. I'd be staggered if we weren't in for him, especially at that price. Whether or not he prefers somewhere else is another matter.
  8. Kurt Zouma to either Stoke or West Brom on loan. Bit jealous about that.
  9. Can he play in one of the wider positions, or is he just an out and out striker? Was hoping for a CM first, or an AM... but maybe I'm just being a bit precious.
  10. Jack Cork to Burnley. Decent signing for them.
  11. Was that not against Utd, when he kept delivering corners over everyone's head, then started moaning at players/staff because no-one was there? Fairly sure Stephens was having a pop at Tadic as well about his delivery.
  12. Tancredi Palmeri says agreed a deal at €35m for Rudiger.
  13. According to Tancredi Palmeri, City have agreed a deal for Mendy at €45m...
  14. Chelsea are currently losing 8-0 to everyone.
  15. Making up figures to suit your agenda. Again. Surely not.
  16. If you think he's worth £100k plus a week for the next three years, good luck to you.
  17. It's a tricky one. I agree we've been blessed over last few years with some quality centre backs and would like to see a top quality one come in to partner VVD. However, we've got a very promising defender in stephens who needs regular games at the top level in order to continue his progression. Who knows, perhaps he could be even better than Fonte? I think a season next to VVD would bring him on leaps and bounds. At the end of the day, it's the clubs MO to develop youngsters - why wouldn't they continue this with Stephens who has shown he is capable of playing at this level? Plus, I think you can contribute a fair bit of our defensive problems to the balance in midfield. I love Romeu, but he can't do the job of Morgan and Vic on his own.
  18. 62 posts, of which 62 are digging out either Les Reed, Steve Davis or James Ward-Prowse. What an incredibly sad life you must lead.
  19. Agree - plus I think the fact the club had said (via our favourite journalists) that the new manager would be in place by the end of last week probably added a bit of pressure.
  20. Hmmm.... if true, that's very interesting... in my mind would leave only one club I could see him going to. No prizes for guessing who.
  21. The issue with the scenario you are putting forward is, what happens to Stephens? He came in second half of last season and arguably was one of the few shining lights to come out of it. Surely he needs more game time next season to progress further, not get shunted down to 4th choice. If (and it's a big if) we can keep VVD, then I wouldn't mind seeing a VVD / JS partnership next season.
  22. Let's hope those u21 games werent a reflection on his ability. Thought he was cr*p.
  23. I get the feeling we weren't too fussed and he was a back-up. Maybe if Palace had gone a different direction with Pellegrino, then we'd have considered him (and badged it up that he was first choice all along).
