Sweet Jesus. Koeman = Martina Puel = Pied Hughes = Cameron?

??

Hmmm, this guy, Maddison, Gibson, Limbombe... maybe we're actually reverting back to the 'best players at lesser clubs' for targets rather than 'bench warmers at big clubs'. Which would be a positive. Obviously have to actually sign some of them first mind you, which I won't be holding my breath about.
-
Not necessarily - there have been rumours since the end of last season that they are eyeing up a replacement for him, plus their fans weren't happy. If they aren't tearing trees up in the first 5-10 games, I reckon he will go. Still leaves plenty of time for them to have a good season. DT is right - they will have a better season than us.
-
He won’t be their manager by the end of next season.
-
Not sure that will come into it tbh - sounds like he wants to move back to Midlands and Leicester are a more attractive proposition than we are.

Home friendlies confirmed Celta Vigo - Wednesday 1st August Borussia Monchengladbach - Sat 4th August

Totally agree - Pearce needs to join Motson in being put out to pasture.

Got to give the media guys kudos, they are fantastic. They've made the best of a bad situation and have got people second guessing - which is the best they could hope for. Just wish the football side were just as good.

Who do you reckon our first signing will be and when?

He had three injuries last season. Also has missed 31 games over the last 3 seasons with Celtic due to injury. Sounds injury prone to me - pop it into your FM algorithm and see if it generates an injury prone trait. -
Would rather have Callum McGregor

£15m?! F***ing hell. Though that would work out at £58k p/w, not £90-95k.
-
Stuart Taylor didn’t set the world alight either, yet is our third choice goalkeeper. Again, no idea what relevance you’re trying to make by bringing Spurs’ 3rd choice goalkeeper into it.
-
Not sure why you've bought Gazzaniga into this, or what point you're trying to make to be honest.
-
Can't see it - played half decent for a few months and now Spurs, Liverpool etc now want him? No chance. He's finally earned himself a number 1 shirt, if he wants to chuck that away to be a number 2 somewhere else then good luck to him.
-
Good deal for Burnley that. Thought Bryan was very good every time I’ve seen him

Summer 2018 - Other teams Manager/transfer business

Seeing as they survived most of the season without Mendy, I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't that that fussed about pursuing Bertrand. It's Spurs that I worry about, if Rose left. -
Yup - sure I read an article somewhere when he joined where he said he'd like to go back there before the end of his career.

Pickford had a mare of a season at Everton.... yet managed to win Fans, Players and Young Players of the year...
-
It doesn't half hit home how average a squad we have, when it's written down in front of you.

Top work, thanks Batman. On the face of it, at least they acknowledge mistakes were made. Good to see they are looking to improve communication/connection with fans and also the need to act quickly, but don't enjoy this continued blaming of the VVD situation for our poor season. Obviously though it could just be a lot of hot air, let's wait and see what happens. Though Ralph asking us to judge them on reacting to their mistakes next season is asking for a lot of (un-earnt) trust, especially when they'll be asking me to part with the best of £700 in a few weeks time...

Do you really think Emery is realistic for us? Maybe after Koeman, but surely not now.

Regardless of promotion?

Wouldn’t be unhappy at all if we appointed Hughes longer term, he deserves it. However, main pro point on Hughes for me is the continuity it would bring having a manager installed from the get go, ahead of pre season / transfers etc. So if there was a ‘better option’ out there and you could guarantee that they would be in place from say 1st June to be well ahead of the game, then I’d be ok with that too. Problem is, there’s no way our board can be that proactive, as they demonstrated in the last two summers. Also the telegraph article from the other day said no-one else was under consideration at this stage, so if they aren’t going with Hughes it’s going to be another long summer.
