  2. Amen. I wonder which promoted team it will be this year that spends £100m that everyone gets in a flap about. Two years ago it was Fulham, it was Villa this season, Leeds maybe?
  3. Clearly haven't got a pot to p*ss in if we're haggling over that.
  4. Could it be a negotiating tactic from our end? E.g. you're not having another handout from us Celtic, either pay up or move on.. I hope so anyway, the thought of having 3 back-up quality GK's vying for the number 1 shirt is far from inspiring.
  5. Has anyone watched a fair amount of Ntcham or know what type of CM he is? I had a quick look on the (ever reliable) Youtube and some highlights. Seems a neat passer of the ball, bit of skill, seems to pop up on the edge of the box and score a few goals. Didn't strike me as much of a ball winner/interceptor or particularly combative. Whilst I'm not a big PEH fan, when he does go I think we'll miss that energy in the middle and it will need to be replaced (hopefully with someone that can do that AND pass forwards). Just interested to see if Ntcham is that type of player?
  6. I guess the only person that will know what DI's true career aspirations are would be DI himself. He looks as fit now as he's ever been in his career, which he deserves tremendous amount of credit for - but so does our medical team (and I'm fairly sure he's said this himself in the past too). He's back 'home' and is thriving in this environment. He starts every game when he's fit and fit's the system and Ralph's tactics down to the ground. I can't imagine he's being paid pittance here either (£70-80k a week?). Maybe I'm being a bit naive, but I'm not as worried about him leaving as I have been others in the past. With all the struggles he's had in recent years (not his fault), I'd like to think he would stay where it's working for him. A 2 year contract extension would go down nicely.
  7. It's hard to know what RH's thoughts are on KWP - seemed to want to persist with Valery, until it became untenable with his terrible performances. Perhaps money is that tight that RH wanted to give Valery every opportunity to show he can step up? Or perhaps we're 'playing it cool' to try and show Spurs we're not that desperate to sign him, to try and keep the price down? I hope we have a maximum price in mind and walk away if Levy gets greedy. I'm sure there must be a similar standard players in Europe somewhere that we can pick up for a reasonable cost. That being said, it we can get KWP and enough money to buy Salisu for e.g., in exchange for PEH, that's probably not a bad result.
  8. “I have made a good impression in England” - 🤨

  10. Sadly I think anyone worth a look at will be outside of our price range
  11. I’m afraid not.
  12. 👌 see what you did there
  13. I would be surprised if Utd are in for him - seems a bit raw still and they have Maguire, Lindelof, Bailly, Tuanzebe who would probably all be ahead of him in the pecking order. Would be more concerned about the Everton interest
  14. West Ham v Villa last game of the season could be interesting...
  15. Our wage bill is (was) £23m more than Wolves - mental.
  16. Agreed. Really don’t see him as a huge loss, don’t think his level is much more above us. The bigger issue will be if our recruitment team are remotely capable of signing a replacement. There are a number of players out there who could do the job, but I have no faith in our competency to fill the gap.
  17. Not all are live streamed, there was one earlier in the season that wasn’t live streamed at Staplewood. Video of the full event was then put on YouTube a couple of days later and there was a fan who put a load of info on Twitter about it straight afterwards.
  18. I loved Wanyama when he was on his game for us, him and Morgan in our midfield were a superb partnership. However, the way our midfield now play under Ralph is different to the Koeman era - it's all about legs and stamina. Can't see Wanyama bringing that to us, especially if it's true about his knees.
  19. I'm sure I read somewhere that Hull have an additional year option on his contract, so he isnt actually out of contract this summer. Apparently they want mega bucks for him which is fair enough, so that will certainly rule us out, plus as others have said we need defenders/centre midfielder and will not have hardly any budget to do it with.
  20. Totally agree - good to have a serious football brain in a senior position. The academy/coaching has been poor and deteriorating since he left, would be good to have him back.
  21. This isn't football manager.
  22. Based on the fact Kelvin Davis doesn’t coach the GK’s, I’m guessing not. I’d also argue Gunn does come off his line, which has led to some awful moments (Bournemouth, Wolves etc) Other than that, you could be onto something.
  23. I thought it was a fart sir, I thought it was safe.
  24. My understanding was we had someone lined up, so long as we shifted Lemina before the UK deadline, but we didn't.
  25. He scored in a 1-0 win at home against Chelsea after Xmas - also scored earlier in season at home to Liverpool in 1-1 draw.
