  1. I do a lot for charity but don't like to talk about it.
  2. We're lucky they didn't get a penalty for handball. They're all over us so far. Curse of the telly?
  3. This. I've heard he does favours for fellow Saints fans.
  4. Your comments have made me reassess my position. I now realise you're not an attention seeking nutter at all but have a very valid point. In fact, I hope, if the club doesn't commemorate the sinking of the Titanic in precisely the way you require, that you will join me when I burn my season ticket at St Marys in protest.
  5. Mods: can this thread be moved to the Lounge as it has absolutely nothing to do with the club. I suspect this whole thread is an excuse for Alpine to get into a frothing frenzy when the club doesn't mark the occasion of the Titanic sinking.
  6. Can anyone who has answered this thread in an equivocal way, please withdraw their comments? The OP was quite clear - 'yes' or 'no' answers are all that are acceptable.
  7. I understand that Junction 9 is a dab hand at all this kind of stuff and does good rates for fellow Saints supporters.
  8. Adkins said: "When you hear about the crash that was on the M5, it's horrendous. We were stuck for a long time in traffic yesterday and it delays things a little bit. But no excuses, you get on with it and be professional and get it all right." I'm afraid that just sounds callous.
  9. I came to this thread because I heard the same, exact thing - the it'll be set in Nottingham. I thought this was just too weird and thought I'd check out the rumour I'd heard, but it seems to be confirmed. How odd is that?
  10. Call him Sue
  11. Typical Daily Mail scare story. They conveniently combined all the variant spellings of Mohammed (or is it Muhammed, or Mohamed, or....) to skew the figures. It transpires there are eight different variants of Oliver, which makes it far and away the most popular name in the UK. When all the variants of names are added together, Mohammed goes right down the list.
  12. Are you watching it so that you can find out what life is like on a submarine?
  13. Mind you, plenty of white guys among this motley assortment. What you might call a 'mixed bag': http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/picturegalleries/uknews/8695472/London-and-England-riots-looting-suspects-and-rioters-appear-in-court.html
  14. Hang on. Why is Hypo/Natasha allowed back while Stain/Deppo is still banned? This doesn't make any sense at all....
  15. Shepherds Bush was traditionally a Muslims area before the Kiwis and Aussies turned up in their droves.
  16. The French can be chavtastic too: http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2011/jul/24/france-young-binge-drinkers-upset

    Oslo blast

You weren't really speculating though, were you. In your mind, it was a given...
  18. Are you a people/sex trafficker?
  19. TDD is clearly merely a pawn in all this. It is clearly the job of the quartermasters to account for the stuff, and if there is lack of accountability and poor data and record keeping, then the quartermasters asre in a position to run thriving black market operations. No doubt the Bowman radios are the tip of the iceberg. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Taliban flying around in a Typhoon that they got at a knockdown price, 'off the back of a lorry'.
  20. Candidate for Golden threads?
  21. Great if he got his facts right! An extract from an articles in the Grauniad: His [Pilmer's] book has been criticised by mainstream scientists as riddled with errors and misrepresentations of climate data. The first graph in the book purports to use temperature data from the Met Office's Hadley Centre and the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia, but many of the data points are in the wrong place. Another graph in the opening pages shows the global temperature record during the 20th century. Plimer does not give a source in the book but it looks remarkably similar to a graph used by Martin Durkin in his documentary The Great Global Warming Swindle. The programme was castigated for its inaccuracies by Ofcom and the graph was subsequently withdrawn by Durkin. Potentially more damaging – because geoscience is his specialist field – is his claim that volcanoes are responsible for more CO2 emissions than human activities. The US Geological Survey says that humans in fact create 130 times the CO2 volcanoes do. Plimer now claims that the USGS figure only includes volcanoes on land, not undersea eruptions at mid-ocean ridges. But Dr Terrence Gerlach of the USGS said the 130 figure includes the underwater volcanoes. http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2009/dec/04/climate-sceptics-public-opinion
  22. Banned in the Canary Islands and about to be banned in Cataluna. Bull fighting is hardly ever performed in the northern part of Spain these days - I think they regard it with distaste. It's very common down in Andalucia. Pewrsonally speaking, I think I'd rather go to one of the recortes (bull-leaping) which is non-violent (for the bull at least) and involves the guy leaping and dodging the bull charges.
  23. Expect us to believe that? Let's look at the evidence: One logs on when the other logs off. Both expressing disgust of different races, cultures and the disabled. I rest my case.
  24. Lilliput Azania Ishmaelia Iraqistan Eastasia Grand Fenwick Gilead Costaguana Cymmeria Skull Island Zembla Narnia Gormenghast and, of course, not forgetting Vulgaria
  25. What a bunch of sanctimonious tosspots you lot are. You're all so bloody self-righteous - reading through this thread you lot make me want to vomit.
