Finally got round to seeing Star Trek last night and was completely blown away from start to finish, very well done and the whole time travel aspect of it isn't half as confusing or lame as what it could have been. Even tempted to see it again I enjoyed it that much. Watched The Running Man the other day too, must be about 10 years since I last saw it and still loved it,some of the one-liners are pure genius, made me want to re-watch a few more classic Arnie films.

It was the televised 12.45pm kick off match on a Saturday. Andy D'Urso infamously booked the same player twice but failed to send him off. But yeah we were winning 1-0 at half time.

Sounds good to me! I've got a game the night before so will need plenty of warming up as i'll probably be aching like hell!! -
£20 does seem bit steep but if its to save the club i'll happily pay it. Think it might have been Matty worth waiting until the Prem season has finished so he could have asked players like Beatts,Bridge,Davies and Crouch if they'd play. Suspect it'll just end up being the usual testimonial playing dross though.

I'm gonna bring my own ball for a proper goalie warm up,football aid only gave us 2 the other year so if you want some ball practice would suggest a few people bring one too. -

Best: Henry to score a hattrick in the final game at Highbury Put £10 on at 40-1.

Would have taken it before the game to be honest, never a great place for us to go so consider the point a bonus. Stunning free kick from Saeijs, can't believe he didnt take the second one!

Myself personally, Zelda:Ocarina of Time on the N64

I think what Dan is trying to say is that back when we were a Premiership team we had much less of a hooligan element and were generally perceived by others in the footballing community as a friendly welcoming club. Nowadays though that isn't the case, and unfortunately we're being compared to Cardiff,Stoke etc... when it comes to fan behaviour,so even though theres still a vast majority of families at games, its the minority that have given us the bad reputation. Like it or not we are no longer viewed as a family club, people need to start accepting that.

Kicked the doors down!? Ha,what a load of ****e.Nothing happened at the stadium, just a few chavs who watched too much Football Factory giving it the large one with a group of Charlton fans. Stewards and police seperated the fans and then led a baton charge down Britannia Road to clear the way of Saints fans before escorting the Charlton fans into town, where it did kick off apparently.
-
I'd certainly attend provided there was a decent line up of ex-saints,and not a load of dross.
-
No.It would be a policing nightmare.

Update at 5pm according to SSN,dunno if that means they have some new news.

I remember that game very well, wouldn't really say they tore Spurs apart though as it was only a 2-0 win, although I remember Davies tapping it in off the post for his goal from about 2 yards out whereas Beatts cut in from the left to bend a shot into the far corner of the net which kind of sums up what they were like a players. I always thought Davies was just a bit of a lump that you'd stick up front knowing if a chance fell in the box he'd probably take it,whereas with Beattie you had a player who would create his own chances, could score from pretty much anywhere, a deadball specialist, and was great with his head.

Do you know GS personally? Just wondered as you make these claims about his personality and his treatment of KD as if they are fact. It was clearly a choice between Beatts and KD when it came to picking the first team week in week out,I'd have chosen Beatts without thinking twice, guess Strachan felt the same.
-
Think its a bit harsh to accuse WGS of not knowing how to handle KD. Its pretty clear he was always a fan of the big man little man up front partnership, hence the pairing of Beatts with Pahars,Ormerod and Phillips, and as long as Beatts was here and was fit,KD knew thats how it would be. He left for guaranteed first team football IMO,not because Strachan had an issue with him.

Just curious...But why is it costing (assuming all the postions get filled) £5160 for a match the club are charging £4000 for?
