  1. I think you’ve mis-read the context of what I was saying, I’m not sticking up for Ralph at all, I’m glad we got rid and it should have happened sooner. I’m sure something happened behind the scenes that caused that collapse in March. What I’m saying is at one point last season this group of players were actually doing ok, before we nose dived off a cliff after the West Hsm cup match. That says to me that the right person is capable of getting a tune out of them, if they are given the funds and freedom to replace the glaring omissions of Romeu and Broja, and a system is implemented that plays to their strengths.
  2. Unfortunately for us the poor appointment by SR has cost us 3 out or 4 games where we should have been looking to earn at least a point, as well as the World Cup break which would have been perfect for a decent manager to work hard with his new squad. Somehow luckily for us despite the awful results of late we’re still not cut adrift yet, and have a forthcoming match against another struggler a week today. Whilst the likelihood of getting out of this looks slim, with the appointment of a proven manager, and 3 weeks of a transfer window left there is still an opportunity to turn this around. This is still largely the same squad which Ralph managed to get up to mid table around March time as well as the quarter finals of the FA cup. I still believe with the right manager and a few more additions we could get out of this. That’s why I’m so angry at SR - this is completely avoidable but I don’t think the ego of those involved will see them admit they were wrong and do the right thing.
  3. I can see you’re on the fence about him 😂😂
  4. That interview with Doswell is brilliant, pretty damning to hear another manager be so savage towards one of their peers.
  5. Not if enough fans stand up and make themselves heard whilst the “brains” behind our club allow it to go to shit. We’re the ones suffering here not them.
  6. I’m hoping for a heavy loss to speed up the sacking of the clueless welsh midget. Come on you Eagles.
  7. Just gone 2pm, why is this prick still here?
  8. https://www.rasmusankersen.com/contact/ I’ve messaged him to let him know he’s a dopey cunt, Not expecting a reply.
  9. Our fans gave exactly as expected. Years of watching this shit has left us apathetic and a few boos is as bad as it’s ever going to get. Gone are the swing Lowe and branfoot protest era supporters.
  10. Hopefully the fans in the ground turn their attention towards the directors box this half.
  11. Not even on target, shocking.
  12. Would take more than that. Maybe have a word with the local Albanians and sort out a free line of Charlie for the Northam and get the place rocking. Right come on Saints, please don’t fucking let me down….again!!
  13. Doesn’t look like too many are keen on the wristband bullshit
  14. I’ll look into that as a back up. The service I’m on is set up in a way not too dissimilar to sky with a tv guide so there’s no need to find websites etc so I’m happy to pay for that convenience tbf
  15. I pay about £40 a year for the convenience of having about 10’000 channels, the latest movies and tv shows, all available to stream in perfect HD through my fire stick on the big TV. I’d take that any day over the weekly stream hunt on my iPad, closing down the hundreds of pop ups every time you touch the screen.
  16. So Saintsy🤣
  17. We’ll agree to disagree on that I guess. This whole mess started under him, the piss poor mentality, random formations and head scratching selections should have seen him gone way before we finally pulled the trigger.
  18. Is it? We were a big chunk into the season already and whilst Ralph had to go we needed an established manager that would command respect and sort this team out. Instead we’ve tried to be clever thinking we’ve bought in the next big thing when all we’ve done is recruited somebody well out of their league, quite literally. I believe the fallout from relegation will be a lot worse than just dropping down a league and everyone will look back to the hiring of Jones as the Sliding Doors moment.
  19. Sturrock doesn’t belong on that list tbf!! I get the sentiment though and totally agree, appointing jones is going to be be one of the biggest disasters in our history.
  20. Yep. If he’s just dealt with it by kicking it into touch this wouldn’t have happened. Gut punch after looking so much better that second half. Can’t see a way out of this now.
  21. We really are better just trying Ballard up front with Che at this point. There is absolutely nothing to gain by bothering with Armstrong anymore.
  22. He’s just missed an absolute sitter there!!!
  23. For a cautionary tale take a look at West Brom today, they have just taken out a loan from MSD holdings to pay off existing loans and secured it against their training ground and stadium, loans that were originally taken out to cover the shortfall from tv rights to pay the wages. MSD is the firm that lent Derby County money also securing the funds against club assets nearly resulting in their liquidation. Considering we’ve already got an outstanding charge against the club despite our Premier League TV income and apparent billionaire owner, you would be fucking delusional if you think relegation would be anything but a complete and utter disaster for us.
  24. The thing with that, whilst not unheard of, is why would Saints agree to that and put ourselves at a disadvantage? Unless there’s an agreement that somebody is coming the other way as part of the deal. Can’t imagine City would willingly forego their buy back clause after such a short amount of time so that we could sell to a rival of theirs.
  25. Those hoping for relegation because it’ll be like the last time we were in the Championship and will be winning a lot more games are in for a shock I fear. The rebuild job required to get us to the point of promotion candidates will cost far more than SR are likely to spend given how we’ve scrimped on our manager and how the early leaks from The Athletic suggest this January window is likely to go. The parachute payments will be eaten up by wages of the dross that nobody else wants, servicing the loan against the club, and the multiple redundancies that come with relegation. We’ll be relying on academy graduates, loans and journeymen and it will look more like the Poortvliet/Wotte era than the Adkins one. if we are relegated this season as looks likely we are much more likely to double drop than bounce back
