Buzzing - massive win, love doing them ****s away after the way their players behaved at St Mary’s, especially that knobhead Zaha. Loved Prowsey playing the pantomime villain again, seems to add an extra edge to his game. Fair play to Vest for recovering from that earlier error to be pretty solid throughout - replacement RB would be nice, no more make shift solution, must be someone available on loan, what’s Clyne up to?

Went in at half time 2-0 up against a tired looking Wolves side and thought it was job done, incredibly naive to not come out and apply the same level of pressure that we did in the first half. Would have taken a point before the game and am even more fuming we didn’t get that given the lead we had. A sobering reminder to stop with the silly talk of Europe and that Stephens is the next Alderweireld - there’s still a long way to go yet.

Before the Spurs game I said I’d be happy with 5 points from the next 5 games and incredibly we’ve surpassed that already! Would be amazing to win 3 on the bounce and push for the top half of the table but I’m also aware just how quickly things can change. I’d take 2 points from the next 2 and guarantee ending Jan on 30 points...

This, coupled with a high pressing game, and a settled starting XI. Plus, our first victory at St Mary’s this season came the first time I walked past the statue and gave Ted’s foot a lucky rub and have to do it every game now...

To be fair to Leicester they play the highlight from the last meeting of any team they face at the King Power - and I really don’t see why people are up in arms about it - in sport you’re always looking for those things that give you the edge over the opponent, the ground is meant to be uncomfortable for away teams and fans, I wish Saints showed a bit more ****housery at St Mary’s to visitors.

Wasn’t paying too much attention during the draw waiting for us to come out but that really is a **** draw all round. No top 8 teams playing each other to make the potential route through the rounds easier, nothing to really get excited about for TV either. If I had to pick the televised games I’d probably say us, Bournemouth, West Ham and maybe Liverpool.

Crap performance but job done - make that many changes to a squad and of course it’s going to be disjointed. Had no idea VAR was being used for the competition until the check came up on the big screen. The fact that it’s only being used at Premier League grounds is a farce, yes we have the facilities but it has the potential to cause a massive unfair advantage in favour of the football league sides.

Really? Joint 7th worse defensive record out of 20 teams. My despair around this rumour was based upon the fact that it all feels very Groundhog Day, gamble on an unproven defender and then act surprised that we’re in a relegation battle. I think we need a backbone of higher level, late twenty-something year old players, that mean we can consolidate our league position whilst developing the younger talent around them. Danso is meant to have all the attributes this guy has and he can’t even get a place on the bench.

I know it’s likely BS due to the work permit issue - but if we’re seriously looking at a player from Real Valladolid that has made just 18 first team appearances to solve our defensive woes I’ll probably cry.
