Ok, I'll bite as well Firstly, the argument that we are doing nothing is unwinnable unless you are AP, NC or a scout etc as you don't know. We could have had bids turned down; Silva may have chosen City over us etc. So snide comments about us being in summer hibernation are pathetic as you have no idea what is happening - True, neither do I but then I am not trying to make such claims. Secondly, the argument that all the best players will be gone also does not stack up. Proven by the fact we signed both Lambert and Hammond after the season started. Thirdly, it is preferable to get players in earlier but more important to get the right players in. The time to gel argument is less relevant as Pardew and, I would guess, at least 7 of the starting 11 are already in place and have gelled already. This is an extension to a strong base rather than a complete rebuild like last season Fourthly, Pardew knows he must deliver this season and if we don't get a good start, I will guess he will be sacked. Therefore he must be keen to get the players he wants in sooner rather than later. However the dynamics of the transfer market may mean he has to wait for the cards to fall into place before this can happen. Finally I do believe we need between 4-6 players and will be ****ed off if they are not in place by start of the season but at the moment I am happily enjoying the world cup, watching England win at Cricket and getting frustrated by Hampshire's poor form. I'll get worried later

New technology doesn't stop them selling tx but it could delay posting them. Maybe it is something to do with knowing all the teams in the league so they can do price bands on day tx which impacts season ticket price. They need to give 4 weeks to existing holders to renew as people may now be on holiday. You would think you would want 4 weeks too for new folks (again to allow for holidays etc) so they have got till mid June really. I agree though that some sort of update would be good PR for fans.

Have to say I agree with the list. With regard to James he hasn't impressed much this season and if he is not going to be first choice we should let him go. We have said we are building a team to win the Championship therefore why fill up squad with average reserves - lets bring in some real quality. Now if only we can find a team to sign Forecast, Gobern, Pulis, Moylensomething, Holmes and Wotton.
