Pinnacle back in the mix?

the stain

Recommended Posts

I'm pretty sure this statement is purely to protect ego's.

The football leagues statement highlights the fact the only stumbling block was proof of funds... Pinnacle then come back with a statement that basically reads "ohhhh ohhhh really, funds the only issue... well we might take another look then"

Knowing full well that they dont have the funds to complete.

This, I suspect, is the last you will hear of Pinnacle

Apologies if there's a thread already, couldn't see one...

I think we should put a ban on the word "Pinnacle" from now on. We could lump it in TSW broom cupboard, along with words such as "Lowe" and "Wilde" and throw in some users to keep them company - "Sundance Nineteen Canteen" and "Bungle", esq.

Sorted! :p

I've had enough of all this now, my head is spinning, especially with the news jackson has a rescue plan if nothing else happens.

I just want someone to sign on the dotted line and get on with running the club before we end up with the youth team being our only players left being trained by the staplewood cleaner

Jacksons rescue plan? Could the new chairman be called Bubbles...did he leave him to us in his will, well then bananas all round chaps

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bubbles_(chimpanzee)

In a 2003 documentary' date=' Living with Michael Jackson, the singer revealed to journalist Martin Bashir that Bubbles had become overly aggressive, and had been moved to an animal sanctuary.[/quote']

I look forward to the transcript of Bubbles and Duncan's phone conversation appearing on here...

"He started screeching down the phone at me...this was then followed by shouting to the effect of 'ooh-ooh, aah-aah' i was too shocked by the outburst to possibly reply."

The key paragraph being the last one

“To proceed, all it (Pinnacle) needed to do was to provide clarification in regard to funding and sign the contract,” the FL spokesman said.

They clearly couldn't do it then so why should they be able to do so now. IMO their reputation has been tarnished beyond the point they would have the support of the fans.

For the record I feel very let down by MLT.

How many times did he give interviews telling us in all seriousness that the Pinnacle deal would be completed within a few hours and he would be installed as chairman.

MLT's utterances were the only reason I kept any faith with Pinnacle. I could not believe that he could sound so sincere if he were not telling the truth.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but Jackson died last thursday, heart attack apparently, after some dodgy doc gave him a pain killing injection.

Fialka:

“However, I was very pleased to learn today that the Football League have made it known that, in the event of a takeover, no further sanctions will be issued to Southampton Football Club. "

I'm afraid I do not believe anything from Mahwhinny ever since he once said that Southampton could always appeal against the the FL's decision to deduct 10 points, then changed his mind. The threat of further deductions has been at the heart of the uncertainty, and the FL could have clarified this a long time ago, saving a lot of fatally wasted time and money.

Mahwhinny has much to answer for.

Interesting point that. I think I'd still prefer having the optimism of MLT running the club than any of the other deals... but then who knows how much money the others will bring.

Worse thing about all this is that for a change, none of us really know whats going on in Fry's world. Makes it bloody hard to speculate! :)

I just wish someone somewhere could clarify exactly what the hell is going on..sure is a huge **** up so far with far too many chefs in the kitchen of **** ups.

There must be someone out there who knows what the hell is going on..50 years a Saints supporter and this is the biggest mess we have ever been in and it just seems to be getting worse each day.

Those true Saints legends from days gone by must be just looking down at all this incompetence going on at our once great club and be in complete torment, the foundations they all put in place have now been completely eroded away.

Fry. The only man who knows the detail. The rest of us frankly are speculating like mad. Difficult compared to the inevitability of relegation, admin et al of the last 14 months! Its a real challenge to predict the outcome of this one!! :)
