Mouldy Coat Posted 28 December, 2009 Share Posted 28 December, 2009 Whilst we still have two very difficult games versus MK Dons in the Southern Area final, it's worth noting that if we were to play Leeds in the final, it is likely that we would get a smaller allocation of tickets than Leeds fans. Correct me if I am wrong please, butThe JPT (Wembley) final tickets are based on average attendances over the course of the season, meaning that Leeds could massively outnumber us at Wembley if the teams were to get through. Does anyone know exactly how the allocation of tickets works? .....Even more the reason for those of you thinking of half year season tickets to get the m now. Especially if season ticket holders are able to buy 2 per ticket.

Especially if season ticket holders are able to buy 2 per ticket. My understanding is that both sides get an allocation of 35,000. If one of the teams do not require their full allocation (which is irrelevant if it is us and Leeds), more tickets can become available (Luton took 43,000). sandwichsaint Posted 28 December, 2009 Share Posted 28 December, 2009 Wot's the story with tickets for MK away? I spent 10 mins last night in the infernal hell that is the OS and absolutely not a dickie's on there (at least that I could see). Are we contracted via the League to that shi7e website layout/content or is there scope to bring it 'in house'?
Um Bongo Posted 28 December, 2009 Share Posted 28 December, 2009 Lord Mawhinney wouldn't want more then 30,000 of us anyway. I don't see the problem. We are averaging 19/20,000 gates. Those people who need tickets will get tickets. We will get an allocation of around 30/35 thousend should we get there.
Andy_Porter Posted 28 December, 2009 Share Posted 28 December, 2009 Anyone who deserves to get a ticket will get one easily. There's no point whining about it on here when we've still got a couple of games to play and the allocation hasn't even been announced.
Griffo Posted 28 December, 2009 Share Posted 28 December, 2009 I'm not whining about getting a ticket, because I will easily, I'm just whining if what was said in the original post is true about Leeds getting a bigger allocation.

saints_is_the_south Posted 28 December, 2009 Share Posted 28 December, 2009 Our average is only 5k behind Leeds anyway so if what the OP says is true there wouldn't be much difference anyway. If they just went on average attendance for JPT games this year then we'd surely be 1st & get more than Leeds.
Saint137 Posted 28 December, 2009 Share Posted 28 December, 2009 OS states that all season ticket holders will be able to buy 2 tickets for the final. Preference will then be given to people who bought tickets for the home leg of the area final. How many STs did we sell this year? Not clear whether this will also apply to 1/2 season ticket holders... Oh and Sandwich, tickets for the leg @ MK will be announced soon, going to be live on SS as well... Spudders Posted 28 December, 2009 Share Posted 28 December, 2009 I know we still have to get past MK Dons yet, but 'if' we do get to the final, I think the club should split our allocation into areas, ie certain blocks for Northam regulars, etc so that we can get a decent noisy area together and the peoples who want to take their flasks and keep quiet can have their own area as well. How else can you explain the high pitched nancy boy chants that they send forth week in, week out. Now - if the Northam were full of real men with decent gutteral low pitched powerful voices we could generate a decent intimidating atmosphere like this (I am determined to get this link into every thread) ;-)

Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 29 December, 2009 Share Posted 29 December, 2009 I've heard that the attendance will be limited to 55k It was limited to this amount last season despite the fact that Luton Town could have sold another 20,000 tickets. They were pretty annoyed as it would have been a good earner for the club, but they were told that there was no movement on the 55k due to a prior agreement with Wembley officials and police. It's a joke.

I didn't go to the Millenium Stadium for the Cup Final, but was this a problem for that game? It didn't seem to be the case on TV as our fans gave a fantastic account of themselves on the day. Also, I went to the ZDS Cup Final at the old Wembley and again, the singing and chanting that day wasn't just restricted to pockets of fans.
