Clunge Posted 30 September, 2008 Share Posted 30 September, 2008 Could it be us? Surely we can scrape together around 500k for him. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/sheff_utd/7640074.stm

Clunge Posted 30 September, 2008 Author Share Posted 30 September, 2008 I bet it isn't. Wolves/QPR/Ipswich Don't get me wrong, I doubt it is us but there is no doubt if it was us he would come back here, wishful thinking on my part really. stevegrant Posted 30 September, 2008 Share Posted 30 September, 2008 I doubt it is us but there is no doubt if it was us he would come back here I'm not convinced. I was under the impression he felt as though we treated him pretty poorly and didn't give him any sort of chance to prove himself.

stevegrant Posted 30 September, 2008 Share Posted 30 September, 2008 Doesn't he live in Eastleigh? He was certainly brought up there, although given that he's been playing for Barnsley for 3 years, I'd expect he probably moved a bit closer to "work"
Dan Johnson Posted 30 September, 2008 Share Posted 30 September, 2008 He's always wanted to move back here. He told me we'd enquired at some point when Burley was in charge but couldnt afford him (whether that was wages or transfer fee I'm not sure) Wolves & Sheff Utd have been sniffing around for a while as well, even mention of Everton. Not at all surprised he's leaving Barnsley... hope he does well where ever he goes, I'll txt him to see if it is us, but seriously doubt it. A picture of me & Brian back in primary school... lol, before anyone claims that im just claiming to be ITK Brian on the left me on the right... Crab Lungs Posted 30 September, 2008 Share Posted 30 September, 2008 Doesn't he live in Eastleigh? He's fron Eastleigh, I was fortunate enough to play with him at ERI 'B' for a season or so a long, long time ago. And he was left footed, like me, argghhhhh! Anyway, apparently he's still got business interests down here in property (I believe flats in Ocean Village) and from what I've been told, would be keen to play for Saints. Apparently Barnsley rejected bids from Everton, Fulham and Reading for him last season...

John B Posted 30 September, 2008 Share Posted 30 September, 2008 There is probably more chance of Rupert Lowe streaking across St Mary's tonight than Brian Howard playing for the Saints on Saturday. But if Brian does leave Barnsley it must increase their chances of being relegated which is a good thing I would have thought

Badger Posted 3 October, 2008 Share Posted 3 October, 2008 Now confirmed as having signed for Sheffield Utd. Shame really as HCDAJFU -if I can use that phrase out of the transfer window. Never mind,we've got Pulis and Ryan Smith to look forward to instead.
